Absolutely amazing place to stay for any period of time. They have a wonderful assortment of themed rooms which enriches the stay. Each theme is designed to make a person really feel as though they lived in that time period/place (except with an extraordinarily comfortable king/queen sized bed).

Not worth the hype or the money. We had to cancel our trip to Mexico, and to make it up to the kids we decided to travel from Vancouver Island to Fantasy Land. $450+ a night for a mediocre luxury suite. Room service was AWFUL. Food was cold and soggy, fresh veggie platters were flimsy and dated, glasses of milk for the kids were warm. The food was actually disgusting. Room service never topped up supplies, despite cleaning every day. We had to continually call down for toilet paper, coffee etc etc. Elevators were the only option, no stairs, which was hell for a person with vestibular issues. Elevators were also having issues over our three night stay, with maintenance always riding in them. It was nothing to write home about, and $1700.00 later, we won t ever be back.

My girlfriend and I very much enjoyed our stay in the Hollywood theme room. The check in process was smooth and they let us to our room earlier than regular check-in time. The room was large, clean and a ton of fun with the stripper pole and jacuzzi highlighting the night.

Stayed for one night in a Polynesian theme room. The room was nice (and novel to stay in). It would have been enhanced by having some Polynesian - themed toiletries. The hotel in general is a bit run down, but housekeeping and staff were friendly. The main downsides: food in the L2 restaurant was terrible, and wildly overpriced (though the service was good). Additionally, the room itself was over-priced... But I guess that's the premium one pays to sleep in a big ol' mall.

The check in was fast and service very friendly. There is loud music playing in the loddy which means you have to talk louder to the person your talking to, which is annoying. We stayed in the truck room. It was cute, but the bed is about 5 feet off the ground and has a thin metal ladder to climb up/down only on one side of the bed, the other side is against the wall. Me being 5'4 the hike up was a challenge especially bathroom trips in the middle of the night. The kids bed seemed very small, properly fit kids under 6. The bathroom is small and the sink is lower for kids, only a shower no bathtub. The room has no place to open luggage or sit other than the bed, which doesn't work if you have to climb up a 5 feet high bed. The room was decorated perfectly for the theme, . The jacuzzi was nice. The room was clean, other than a child's sock under the truck bed. Yes you can crawl under the truck bed which didn't seem safe to me, there was car jacks under there, but there is nothing blocking off that area, a 2 feet space for kids to crawl into. So it was a nice room but the only reason we picked this room is because the igloo room was taken. Most likely we will not stay in this hotel again, it's to expensive to do more than once.

Came here to spend a day for our anniversary. I liked the hotel. Staff was unhelpful. I arrived earlier and requested for an early check in. Was told I would get a call as soon as my room would be ready. Never got the call. Came to ask the front desk and room was actually ready two hours before.

I love the themed rooms! They are so fun and cool! The rooms are perfect size for families of all sizes. The service is great, haven t encountered a problem they weren t happy to fix. $10 discount for World Waterpark! This place is so cool, we usually take a long weekend and fly to Edmonton from Vancouver just to stay here and go to Galaxyland and World Waterpark! Bringing a friend next time we go! Would definitely recommend. 6 Stars.

Stayed at a Polynesian themed room. Lots of fun, with thematic touches like the jacuzzi tub's tap being a waterfall. The only negative thing I could say is that the bunk-bed ladder didn't seem very safe (my kids ended up hurting themselves) but overall it was a wonderful hotel experience!

We live in Edmonton and always thought the Fantasyland was over-hyped. Since having our little guy, we decided to do a 'stay-cation' and check out the Space themed room, thought he would love the lights.

Turns out, this place is amazing! It had two 'pod' bunkbeds that had a double mattress, maybe queen even, inside them, in addition to the main queen bed. Two TVs, one to watch in bed and one to watch in the jacuzzi tub. Then there is a super cool egg chair in the corner. Very neat! We loved it.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Completely over priced for an old dilapidated building. Check in was a nightmare with extremely rude manager. The igloo theme room had a hole in the wall that the pillows fell off the bed into, jacuzzi didn't work, WiFi for the TV didn't work. Called front desk to complain which was a pathetic waste of time offering a small discount but 25% off the next stay, thanks for nothing.

My kids really enjoyed the truck room. Front desk was really pleasant to deal with as well. My toddler was very tired after our busy day, so I checked to see if we could check in early if our room was ready, and thankfully we were able to. The price is very high in my opinion. If it was cheaper we would stay more often. We stayed at a nearby place the night before to save a bit. Otherwise the room itself was good.

Decent hotel but you are definitely paying for access to the mall and nothing else really. Decor is dated. Our room was $300/night and our view was of a giant Satelite dish. No included breakfast. Restaurants are closed due to covid but other mall restaurants are open to not sure why? Air conditioner was crazy loud. Wi-Fi very spotty and disconnected constantly. TV channels were bare minimum and on demand was $25+. For same price we could have driven to Jasper and stayed in a beautiful hotel. Lesson learned! We did get to lots of shopping and visit a few restaurants in the mall which was great but the hotel itself has a very 80s vibe to it.

I was just passing through the lobby, but I've been to the Fantasyland Hotel on multiple occasions and it is always immaculate and kept to a professional standard. Also, the Disney princesses in the lobby seem to be a hit with the kids (not sure I'd that's WEM or FLH specifically though)

This hotel experience was on mine and my wife's bucket list for a better part of a decade if not more so we finally saved up the money went and spent over $600 on the room and needless to say I was extremely disappointed the rooms are horribly outdated in complete disrepair. It was a very disappointing experience for the money you pay and what you get out of it could have stayed at the days inn or Ramada for less than half the cost and had a better quality room and a free continental breakfast.

Service was amazing, hotel rooms were amazing ! Son loved the truck room. The one thing I was super disappointed was the breakfast I. The hotel on L2. I was excited to eat when I picked up my food my eggs were greasy my toast, pancakes were dried up . All the treats on the table like croissants, muffins etc were all dried out . We paid basically 50 dollars for food that has been sitting there ovbiously for hours. Very disappointed.

Came here for mother's day buffet brunch. It cost $50 per adult. It was not worth it! The food was average if not worse. Nothing special about hotel food. We could've eaten at Cactus Club for less and have superb tasting qaulity food. An event where they can money grab people on particular day of the year. I do NOT recommend!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the booking agent, to the front desk and the concierge that treated us superbly. The room was spacious and the bedding luxurious, better than our own.
I highly recommend booking directly. We mightve saved a bit of money initially, but they comped us extra passes to the water park. These passes were worth the cost of one nights stay. Plus the lounge in the lobby is so convenient for some 'couple time'.

The first impression of the hotel is that it's old. It appears that nothing has been updated since the place was opened. The lobby has visible signs of age. My tropical theme room had stains on the carpet and again looked as though the decorations were the ones originally installed when the place was built. For the cost I was highly disappointed and will not stay here again.

Great place to go for a date. Amazing themed rooms. Excellent service. They always treat you right if you come back and behave;) haha. Anyways been here a thorough amount of times. If your coming from out of town or for a visit with the family these are pretty neat rooms too. Excellent for a sexy occasion. Also recommend personally the polynesian modern or roman room.

DISAPPOINTED 2/3 hotel but 4/5 prices, very pricey. There were three of us staying in a king room with bunk beds and jacuzzi. PROS: front desk was helpful and friendly. Being attached to hotel is super convenient. CONS: had a jacuzzi tub but air circulation is so bad that you can't use it, tried and left the room hot and humid. The cleaning staff is horrible, for the 4 days we were there we had to phone for do overs, sink never wiped, dirty cups never replaced, coffee pot left dirty, sheets not replaced after requested, people's room service trays left in hallways for 24 hours (making it hard to maneuver my friend's wheelchair). Probably will not stay here again, would rather pay less and drive to the mall.

Stayed in the space themed room was really cool, our son loved it. No windows but I guess that goes with the theme. Sweet setup with a spa and a double bed bunk bed and queen for the adults. Cool light themes and nice and warm. Had a problem with the shower and maintenance came and fixed the problem with in an our. Service was pleasant

This is the first time we book to this hotel. It is our son first birthday. We decided to try to booked themed room so that it will be memorable. Wow, we are so impressed with the quality and design of the room. It is spacious, clean and elegant. No regrets on our stay except we just did it for a night. Next time we will do it a bit longer. Very accessible to WEM facilities. Clean wash room. Free parking overnight for costumers. Highly recommended!

The rooms are dated and I was disappointed there is no other pool other than the waterpark which is only open 12pm-6pm and is often not included...so if you want to take the kids swimming or sit in the hot tub that's the only option

Themed rooms are beautiful. If you stay make sure to bring your earplugs. Sound travels through walls and floors and cileings. My kids and I could not sleep due to the slamming of doors and other noises from all other rooms around us. I was also charged both nights even though I left at midnight the first night with my two small children to a best western where everything was better.

Brought the family here to celebrate my wife's birthday. As we have multi play passes to WEM it was a great stay. The customer service we received was great. We stayed in an executive room with jacuzzi tub which was awesome. Walking the mall at night was very peaceful. We got an amazing price at the time and got free buffet breakfast vouchers. I would definately recommend this hotel to others. My only complaint is the lack of availability for the fantasy rooms, which really isnt a complaint because they are obviously popular. I keep checking but never seem to have much luck finding availability when were looking. Would love an opportunity to check out the space theme or the tech theme rooms. Will keep trying. Thanks FLH

This is a good hotel, but a bit overpriced, it would only be worth the cost if you use the free waterpark passes. The rooms are big, and spacious, but seem a little bit outdated. The staff were really nice, and didn't have any problems. If you're in Edmonton, and just plan on staying at the mall, it's very convenient for that.

My husband and I had the travel bug last November (2019) so we decided to surprise our children with a fall family package staycation at the Fantasyland Hotel. It was our first time at TFL and what an amazing experience! We (adults included) were amazed with our Igloo Family Room. Beautifully decorated, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The in-room jacuzzi was our favourite part of the room. We had a wonderful evening at the L2 Grill for dinner where the kids got to eat free, ended the night with a free in-room pay-per-view movie, and finished the weekend with two free passes to Galaxyland. The only complaint we have is parking. We opted for self parking and since there wasn't a dedicated lot for hotel guests, we ended up parking quite a ways away.

We got the pleasure of staying here all i can say is if you stay here you will not regret it. Was very nice and clean and the room was very big. The soaker tub was the best part and the bed that was in the shape of a igloo. Would recommend to anyone new to edmonton or visiting

We have stayed at Fantasy Land several times and experienced a few different theme rooms. This stay was in the princess room. It was a comfortable room with lots of pink. My only issue with this room was the lack of lighting in the bathroom. As for the entire stay it was enjoyable except for construction noise (very loud drilling) coming from the room under us that started around 9:30 am. Although we were awake it made it difficult to have a relaxing morning. Even so we will stay again at this hotel.

Not impressed. For the hefty price this hotel has, it sure as hell does not live up to it. We arrived at 11.00am in the morning thinking we could ask for an early check-in. But NO the hotel front desk made sure that was not gonna happen. We were promised a call as soon as our room was ready but, SHOCKER! The call never came. We went back at 3:00 and it still wasn't done! Aren't the guest suppose to check out at 12:00? which room takes 5 hours to clean?! am definitely not coming back.

After being on the road for 13 hours with a toddler and two dogs this was refreshing. The staff that checked us in were so friendly and went above and beyond for us to help make our stay perfect. The convenience of the mall makes it the perfect stop for a family vacation, with everything at your finger tips. The only suggestion I would make, is design an area for families traveling with pets, so the dogs can run a bit and use the restrooms.
