Great hotel, don't stay on the fourth floor however as there may be wedding parties below are you on the third floor
Attended a conference at the Fantasyland Hotel. Nice conference rooms, good lunch. Parking was not too bad.
Stayed and attended a work event at this hotel. Pillows and bed were quite comfortable in the rooms. And are designed quite nice. We didn't have a theme room but had a regular room and was quite impressed. We were going to come to this hotel when attending a concert in Edmonton and wanted to stay in a theme room. Themed rooms are quite expensive for the night when staying so I would suggest watching for deals. And we would have had to book way in advance and it fills up quickly. Other than that, quite good for a regular room.
The room was nice, clean and fit all of our needs, however the tv barely worked the first night and the second night would not turn on at all, and the room service was not very good.
Loved the space theme room was definitely an experience. Booked with their online promo that included two attraction and zipline passes and that felt like a great deal. Parking was fairly easy and elevator needs room key access so a little security there in nice. We had a bit of trouble with the jacuzzi, but someone came right up to help. Only complaint was that the space bunks didn't have the little privacy dividers, not sure if they removed them all or just that room, but something for considering if you looked forward to that. No coffee in the lobby, but they have the little makers in the room and infused water in the lobby. Tim Hortons right outside.
Awesome front staff that were super helpful and quick in getting me a room
The are right near bubba gump shrimp. Can't ask for any better
Our check-in was not-so-hassle-free. Room was not available for when it's time to check in. Staff said housekeping got behind on cleaning it as the previous guest did a late check out. We were offered a temporary room while our theme rm was being cleaned -- an inconvenience for sure but that was a better alternative than waiting in their lobby with 2 toddlers who are sooooo ready to nap. The polynesian rm was nice, kids loved the jacuzzi! Breakfast at L2 was great --- lots of good selection. Location of hotel was great coz it's inside a mall -- lots of places to go to and lots to do. Got a bunch of free passes to mall attractions and to the movies from the hotel from what happened at check in.
We stayed in one of the executive suites. The room was alright but seemed a little worn out for what is supposed to be a suite. The easy access to WEM was nice but not really worth the price. We weren't able to check in when we arrived and they took our phone number but didn't call us to let us know when the room was ready. Just generally overpriced and underwhelming.
Great room, more space than we thought. Clean and we'll kept. Had up to date furnishings.
Stayed there the day before black Friday/Grey Cup weekend. They had their full prices up as their promotions didn't apply for these days. So value was out the door. Normally value isn't too bad. I'll pay extra to not have to drive through the city/drive home and spend that time doing fun things at the mall. This is our 8th time at the hotel. But when you pay just under $400 for a 2 queen bed room, it's unfortunate that they can't throw in something like a galaxland pass or a meal voucher. But we did it for the kids. They enjoyed the princess room, lots of detail in the rooms, nice and clean. Front counter staff were polite. Room service was good. The only bad part, aside from value, was the repairs/construction going on underneath our room. Woke up to a drill/hammer that went on for about 20 minutes on and off. Other than that, it was a good stay.
We loved the room. We got the deluxe princess room. Our daughter loved every minute of it! Prices are a high. But my daughter loved it.
Fantasyland have a very good deals that you can get and enjoy a complete family weekend in the mall. You could get access to the waterland park an galaxyland for a reasonable price. Your kids will have a funny time and you don't need to expend too much money.
Beautiful location for honeymoons and just a family getaway
We arrived early and asked to have our room a little earlier and were told it wasn t ready. We kept politely going back on the hour to ask when and were rudely told you will get a text from us when your room is ready. Not a sympathetic ear at all. We finally had somebody intervene on our behalf and finally got a room and were told by the front desk staff that they had some rooms available all the time.
Hmmm!
Very poor customer service!
Newer renovated theme rooms nice. We had to move so a newer renovated one as not all things were working in the space room.
Staff all friendly and helpful.
I've always wanted to stay in this hotel, and was finally able to, we got one of the galaxy, space rooms and I chose the bottom bunk causw I'm too lazy to go on the top bunk, so i choose the awesome bottom bunk. My parents said when they had come in the room was a mess. I was sitting on my bed and got cold(cause our heat does not work) i went to go under and saw odd gray Mark's that looked like paw prints. But I'm exhausted and only care if theres food, in suspicion I check the rest the bed and find crumbs on the sheets. And look up to see food on the wall of the bottom bunk. We call a cleaning lady who tells me the paw prints are from ironing the sheets, I dont know anything about ironing so ok sure I can believe that. Even tho they were all wrinkly and the bunk above was obviously not ironed(my dad says they arent ironed). But when I point out one of the food marks she tells me its from putting it in the washing machine... What??? Would have been 4 stars if it were for her telling me that the food was from them putting it in the washing machine.
Space room was amazing my kids loved it, menu was delicious aswell
the room was amazing, complete with king bed and jacuzzi. the drapes looked like they hadn't been touched in months, so dusty, but the room was otherwise clean. last night two people were screaming profanities at each other, startled my fiance and I, the hotel graciously gave us 25% off for the stay and the on site security responded within 10 mins and the people were quickly evicted. good job guys. don't let that incident detract you from how nice it is to stay here.
Fun times at mall. Check in and see how many days you can stay inside without natural light.
Had my first visit here with my Boyfriend. We had an amazing time. We got the Hollywood theme room and it did not disappoint. Had a lot of memorable moments durring our stay. The staff is professional and the hotel i pristine conditions.
Great room, poor everything else. The room itself was extremely nice, it was definitely a lovely birthday celebration for me and my partner. However, the internet did not work on any device, possibly because of the room's location (top floor in a corner) and the front desk was completely unhelpful. There were also almost no amenities due to COVID-19, without any price reduction. We were told there would be paper cups instead of glassware, but there was nothing.
The jacuzzi is enjoyable, but I wouldn't recommend visiting until lockdown restrictions are lifted. Not a very modern hotel, it uses the same wifi as the mall. I would have cancelled my booking and waited for a time without restrictions, however the hotel would not allow me to cancel my pre-paid booking - no sympathy for suddenly losing a job.
An Okay stay not currently worth the price tag.
Stayed in a Roman room suite very fun and comfortable. Great service at front desk and all over the mall. Was great to be able to shop and have fun and then come back to a room to relax.
Loved the in room hot tub and being close to the waterpark and amusement park.
We stayed in the igloo room. The kids absolutely loved it. It's great to be able to head up to the room whenever we needed and to not have to drive anywhere.
Assistant mgr John said charging costs $18 and would not allow access. Said this is not a mall charger, but belongs only to the hotel. Patronage to the hotel not recommended. Charging should be free like any other places. Especially for these chargers that weren t being used.
Sure valet is labour cost but would recommend they allow people to just park themselves. Other Tesla owners would agree so hence the low rating
Great beds, great wifi connection, great customer service.
Worst customer service desk ever and I travel alot for work
I had a few issues with my stay here, however, after bringing them up to the front desk, the ladies took care of it very well. I am very satisfied with how they handeled the situation. Great customer service!
Rooms were adequate size, very convenient for shopping at the mall quickly.
The last time I stayed here I felt like it could do with an upgrade. Feels a bit overpriced for what you get.
We stayed in the Polynesian room and it was very cool. Room was a good size. Staff was friendly.
Great hotel within a mall and cool theme rooms! The walls are thin and you can somewhat hear what is going on in the other rooms though so sometimes hard to sleep. The service is amazing too! We have been coming here for the past 18 years and will definitely be back here!
I ordered wine and dine package with my reservation. There was no sparkling wine in the room. Had to call room service to get it. Had a reservation at F2 grill @ 8:30pm went there only to be told there is no reservation for us. Had to go back to front desk to sort things out. Then after waiting for servers at F2 grill to clean a table the first thing we were given was a dessert menu instead of liquor menu. Then I was told by the server I can only order the $99 platter. I had to go back to the front desk again to sort out the situation. They didn't believe me at first. Then had to go back to my room to grab my phone to show them the email conversation I had with Fantasy land about $100 dinner credit. By the time everything got figured out my night was ruined. I got married on 12th and wanted to give a suprise to my wife. But it was a horrific experience over all. Don't get me wrong location and rooms are great. But communication between their departments is horrible. Thanks for ruining my wedding night guys.
I had a chat with the manager later on and he gave us free room service credit.
We wanted to stay here so we could spend as much time at the mall having fun without travel
The room was very nice, but the stripper pole looked unsafe. It was cracked at the base, the sliding door to the washroom was damaged and took alot of work to close, no instructions were left for the hot tub. For the amount you pay to stay there, I'd think they'd do some regular maintenance. Also got a king sized bed and there was only one bottle of shampoo and conditioner. But again, a very beautiful room. The outside of the hotel was very unappealing as well.
We visited a friend who had a theme room birthday party for the kids. They loved it! The space theme room had bunks and was a great place to get organized for the pool
Nice retreat as a Treat. Not a constant stay. A little extra cost but for a great experience.
Awesome for kids. In desperate need of a Reno like the rest of the mall
Way overpriced. Stayed in the African theme room. Was almost $500 a night and it was just a big room with a Jacuzzi and some walls painted with scenes of Africa. For $500 I would've expected a little more... Bathrooms were small... You had to almost break your wrist to open the door (a problem other guests said they had to). Fantasy land hotel is becoming way outdated and they need to completely renovated every room and lower prices if they ever want my business again
Great service, staff that treats you like family , and will put up with you when your completely plumbed dicker
The room was clean, service was exceptional, and location inside the mall is awesome!
Beautiful rooms the pirate room was awesome. The space room is one of our favorites still. Thank you fantasyland. Thank you.
Stayed here for 2 nights in the Arabian themed room. It's very clean and attendants were very polite. Love the jacuzzi inside the bedroom.
Overpriced room for what you actually receive. Some theme rooms would be fun and nostalgic for children, but for adults, don't even bother. The jacuzzi hot tub is a joke, whether you use it or not, it will go through a drying cycle (which you can't sleep through) sometime between 12 midnight and 1 am. Even though you have notified the front desk, they don't do anything about loud party guests on your same floor and children (aka teen hooligans) from running throughout the hallways stirring up trouble. It may be a great place for location, once all the amenities open in the mall, but this trip was a waste of money.
A little pricey but overall a great experience. Breakfast was amazing and the selection of movies you can rent is great, there's even movies still in theaters available
Very disappointed.. Needs slot of updating... Stuck in the 80's..$470+ for the Arabian room was pricey.. Besides a fantastic bed and hottub it was like any other room in the hotel. The room service was an absolute joke!! Horrible fruit and cheese platters served with plastic cafeteria style plates and domes....
Was staying here while attending business meetings, and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The rate I paid was arranged through my meeting, so was likely better than average, but certainly in my case the value for money
The food was excellent, the servers tried to keep up, but we're clearly understaffed.
Very clean rooms and quiet. Friendly staff and it's awesome having the mall and attractions so accessable.
I personally find the mall overwhelming. But I do like the phase 1 food court, lots of amazing options. I'm not a fan of some of the animals that perform there, I can't imagine how difficult and stressful it must be to live in the mall given the noise, Etc. Not a great environment for these types of creatures.
We (6 adults) stayed in the Alberta suite for 3 nights this week, July 2019. We reserved the room after a 3 night stay last July. We had a 2 hour wait as the room was not ready when we checked in. Twice the room keys we were given did not work and the maintenance staff had to finally let us in.
The room had been renovated to Canada 150 theme (which was in 2017). The rustic cabin look was of a cheap plastic wood. The room was only half furnished. There was not a dresser and with only one luggage stand we had to place our suitcases on the floor! The bathrooms did not have any towel racks, bathrobe hangers or fans.
Last year we had a pull out couch (with a regular mattress), this year two daybeds were provided, one with a mattress and one with a lounge pad. Hello....who wants to sleep on a lounge chair pad?? The duvets did not have comforters in them.
Last year the room had a three shelf corner unit and two occasional tables to place our belongings on. There was nothing this year, just lots of wasted space!
In June I confirmed our reservation for six adults. The room was supplied with towels, coffee mugs, drinking glasses, etc for two guests.
Check out was very slow with many unhappy customers as only two staff were at the counter.
Overall, this stay was a huge disappointment in regards to the room, however the staff were great.
The fantasy land hotel had great amenities. They provided a clean, unique, and comfortable sleeping experience. We were also very impressed with the fact that free passed to the Waterpark or theme park were provided. Being in the mall, it made it a wonderful experience, allowing us to shop and enjoy the nightlife safely.
I paid $1,100 for just 2 nights as it was last moment booking only because if my son who wanted to stay here. First, we were staying in the Executive room and no internet worked for both days. When I callled the reception as I needed to do some work done, she said we have sane internet as mall so basically its free internet anyways and lots ppl share so they can t do anything. So if you charge $1,100/2 nights for one room you shoukd have your own internet. Mall internet is a free public internet so doesn t count as you are offering free internet.
Secondly, Tv remote was the worst one. It was not working well at all. We needed to press 5 times for every change of channel or volume. After that it was automatically changed to the default channel. I told the customer service, lady said she will send someone to change the remote. No one came until we checked out.
Elevator in morning took 20 minutes wait as their staff woth big trolleys using in busy periods. One staff member inside elevator told my son you can use stairs. I was really mad as we have all luggage ( 2 bags and few shopping bags) and we have to use stairs from 8th floor with all luggage then why would I pay 1,100/2 nights????
This was very horrible stay and definitely not staying again!
Great hotel. Been around for ages because they know what they are doing and treat every guest as royalty.
We had a wonderful time with the family! Lots to see and do.
The staff are all amazing and the rooms are very clean.
