Excellent cinema! The staff are friendly staff, the seats are incredibly comfy and well maintained. The whole place is very clean, even the bathrooms. Ticket prices are very reasonable too. Most definitely the best cinema in battle creek.

I have always preferred to go to W. Columbia 7 while in Battle Creek. They are the best place to watch a movie. I would recommend this facility over any other in Battle Creek.
I have been going to the West Columbia Theaters on and off for about 15 years. I have personally witness the General Manager Steve( he has slicked back hair, a salty personality and heavy set) scream at his employees on a couple of occasions for very very petty stuff. Things like an unbutton button, a small piece of popcorn in an out of way corner. The two times I described above I was with my young daughter and she was visibly upset and ask what did those people do to get yelled at like that in public view. I told her they really did nothing to be verbally reprimanded like that in front of their peers and customers and it's just lack of training on the managers part. Managers are suppose to de-escalate a situation and correct the behavior, not escalate and embarrass the employee. I don't know if it was his decision to upgrade the flooring in the entrance area over up- grading the theater seats, but if it was it was a bad decision. I assume this manager is a far flung relation to Bob Goodrich to be put in a position like this with zero or close to zero management skills. I don't know if anybody else has complaints about the seats, but I assume they are from the era of Paul Reuben (Pee-Wee Herman) infamous adult theater incident in 1991, regardless of how old the seats are the do need to be replaced before West Columbia 7 becomes the new "Cheap Seats" Theater of Battle Creek. I see they have already lowered their price, I suggest new management and new seats to compete with the other theaters in Battle Creek, and more social media activity it's 2016, bring some life and excitement back to the adventure of seeing a movie in a top notch theater.
Favorite place to watch a flick...... my 9 year old and I spend ALLOT of time at this specific theater because of the reclining seats...... comfort and value for a fantastic couple of hours
I love the seating. Chairs are like super comfy recliners. All that's missing is my blanket. They also offer a rewarda program, disxounted prices on movies and concessions. Plus you can enjoy a beer with your film.
Updates are the best ever they offer wines beers chicken hotdogs among other items besides the usual popcorn soda pop nachos and pretzels most places do. Prices are amazingly good to . Oh and don't forget those new comfortable recliners to relax in while you watch your movie and enjoy your refreshments .
The theater help was friendly and efficient. The theater itself was quite clean for a movie theater. The new seating was a great modern upgrade. Less seats, but with more comfort. The reclining seats are excellent, roomy and offer a great view of the screen, not matter how tall the person in front of you happens to be. Movie pricing was good and reasonable, but concessions, as usual, were priced a little high. The parking lot is large with more than enough spaces, making parking quick and easy. Bathrooms appeared clean and well kept.
Love this theater. There are three theater within Battle Creek MI and this is the only one I'll go to. (Yeah it's 5 min from my house)... But seriously though, it's got reclining seats, good sound and usually isn't too busy.
This is the best theater in Battle Creek, great service, show times are nicely set up, and the concession stand has tons of choices. Not to mention there rewards system, so you can get free concessions. Simple a great place for datenight or movies with the family.
Top Pros 1. Great seats 2. Good prices on movies 3. Great staff
Top Cons 1.food price is to high 2. 3.
Verdict Love the new theater seats. Have not tried the new food menu and adult drinks yet but glad to see something other than just popcorn and candy. Popcorn was nothing special was barley warm. My biggest issue which I know all movie theaters do this, is the cost of food. When you charge such a high price it makes us not want to get more of a variety of things to try. I spent $20 on tickets for 3 people and spent also $20 just for popcorn and 2 pops.....
Nice theater from a respected regional franchise. With seven cinemas, it features a good variety of new movies, as well as occasional classics screenings. Screens are nice and clean and with good sound. Seating is newly updated with automated leather recliners, including cup holders and enough space between to be comfortable as well as enough space in front to allow everyone to easier pass by to and from their seats. As someone who always has to take a bathroom break, this is important to me. Standard concession selection with Pepsi product drinks, including Diet Mtn Dew. Food and drinks are predictably high, but made slightly better with a rewards card. Seasoning for popcorn (yellow cheese, white cheddar, ranch, and kettle corn) included free. Of there three theaters in Battle Creek, it is the medium-priced option.
We got stuck sitting in the very front row in the theater with the reclining chairs (not sure if all of them have reclining chairs) and it made viewing the movie very uncomfortable and watching the movie was weird. I think I'll stick going to NCG at the mall. Also, I didn't like having to choose what seats we were going to sit in.
Been going here since I was a young buck ! Dad loved this place, & we still do. Keeping Family tradition going... Excellent & comfortable seats ! Great experience for those who love the theater still !! Good food & crew too !
Love this place so so comfortable, had a great time with the family, the seats recline and not like an airplane where you annoy the person behind you. Definitely gotta chk out the best place to see a movie in the area
This theater seems to have been recently renovated. The theater we were in had trays on the seats and very comfortable recliners. The lines moved smoothly and not too bad of a price with the loyalty program discount. You can reserve your seats in advance, which makes it convenient. If I lived in the area, we would go back.
New comfortable chairs that recline. There were lots of new food choices, like chicken fingers and hotdogs. They sell beer and wine now. Expensive like you would expect at the theater. Free rewards by joining club their club. If you download the app you don't need to carry a card. We get a free drink almost every time we go.
We were very surprised to see a theater with recliner chairs for the seating, very nice! Small popcorn is a large for most places, 50 cent popcorn refills and free drink refills were a nice surprise as well.
Girl who helped us was friendly and accurate with a mixed soda request.
Terrible customer service - wait in line 30 minutes for tickets and then wait in line for 30 minutes for food, pay for refills and it takes 30 minutes to get a refill while your movie playing. Not to mention you get to pick your seats but if someone may be in your seat and management doesn't care. Glad they updated so its not so dumpy but now has poor management and terrible service. Sadly, cheap flicks is better than west columbia 7 yet again.. Or the Mall.
Went in to see a movie and the lights turned on in the theatre about 5 or 6 times while the movie was playing and was pretty distracting. Manager gave us coupons for the next time we come in so that makes up for it but still kinda sucks that we got blinded by the lights so much when we were just trying to watch the movie. Owners need to fix the problem and management told us that this is a problem they have every day so why isn't this fixed?
They've recently updated the seating in the theaters. There are now leather power reclining seats with plenty of space. It's a nice upgrade and I don't believe they've increased ticket costs.
Recliner seats are roomy and comfortable, the theater accepts moviepass e-ticketing, the concessions are reasonably priced for a quality theater, and service is friendly.
The theater is currently going through a remodel and I have to tell you I'm extremely impressed by the new seats and sound system they put in these theaters. I will be coming back again!
