When I first joined Web Africa the service was quick and friendly, but I did have a bad experience when I changed my card details. I struggled to make payment from the 1st of August to the 11th. I had an exceedingly difficult time trying to contact Web Africa. The call centre and the live WhatsApp chat was always unavailable. After numerous attempts to make payment I was finally helped by Sisanda today. She did confirm that they have been experiencing some problems with making payments with Capitec cards. I was very frustrated with Web Africa because I did my part by informing them about my card details and the problems that I experienced when trying to pay them, but Sisanda restored my faith in Web Africa and I hope that my relationship with Web Africa will be smooth sailing from here on.

I mut say I have had great service from Nickash who signed me up to Daryll on whatsapp support, I was advised that my Sim would be delivered in 3 to 5 working days, I received it within a day of my rica documents being approved. The only downside is that you have to wait 48 hours before you connected.

The 1st team, from 3rd party service provider that does the installation, arrived without masks which is totally unacceptable. The 2nd team arrived an hour later, with masks, and they were really good. The watsapp communication is not great when you ask real questions. I communicated on this platform yesterday, and when I asked when my service would be activated, I received no response. I then called and after holding on for about 20 mins, I received an answer. It defeats the purpose of having quicker responses on watsapp, if you don't actually get a response. Overall the experience has been satisfactory, but there is room for improvement

Usually when you sign up for these kind of things ...

Usually when you sign up for these kind of things were upfront payments have to be done you wait a while before things start getting done. So not true with webafrica. I was literally contacted to set up my installation appointment the second my payment was complete. WHat was even better was the fact that i did not have to wait weeks for... installation was done the following day no problems with getting my passwords and no difficulties browsing. I am super impressed with the service received and the fact that you have access to chat whenever you need help is a bonus! best choice made very happy with my decision. I would recommend webafrica to anyone who wants to install fibre.

Terrible experience with Web Africa over the phone...

Terrible experience with Web Africa over the phone. Different consultants give different information about the same package. Besides waiting forever to get through to them (over several days), they are not able to confirm THEIR terms of THEIR deal over email. My question is WHY? What do they have to hide? Companies like Web Africa... quick to take your money and SLOW to deliver.

Promise of same day activation of fiber internet, it's been 4 days now after paying over a week ago. The customer service is nonexistent, a poor excuse of an A.I bot called Willie which does nothing good for this company's image. People want help from actual people, not this.

Service was excellent but just a footnote the installer's don't do paving or cement and we had to negotiate. For him to dig a channel in my concrete to lay the cable's,it was a minor inconvenience but one that could have been clarified

The installation team was brilliant they were early and effective and their workmanship was immaculate. Webafrica's service is outstanding, even phoning in for queries is phenomenal. The estimated time to get activated fiber internet...

The estimated time to get activated fiber internet, for a residence with an ONT already installed is about 4 working days on the WA website. Considering all that needs to happen is that the fiber line is to be claimed by WA and the router shipped this made total sense. However this took more than 3 weeks. The call center staff were friendly and helpful but this does not solve the root problem of an inefficient work flow.

A really refreshing experience for a change with a service provider. I did have to wait a while for the infrastructure...(not their fault though) but once that was installed they got me up and running in a day and a half... Their staff are really helpful ..I dealt with a few people but would like to point out one of your staff members who went the extra mile... thank you Lorianne Gideon you are a superstar!

I work from home full time so having a stable strong fibre connect is imperative.
I had started noticing my connection not being as great as it used to be and therefore requested assistance.
Heinrich Dourie went above and beyond to solve my problem.
He made sure to teach me the process every step of the way and by doing this he absolutely reduced customer effort.
He displayed professionalism and in my option should be promoted to a position which allows process improvements. He thinks outside of the box and when one resolution didn t work he immediately adapted another solution to my situation.
Very happy customer! Thanks Heinrich!

Webafrica was fast and efficient with installation and activation of my fibre line. I've been with Webafrica for more than a year, and I have not experienced any downtime without being informed of any repairs/upgrades in advance. I am really impressed with the customer service that I have received from Webafrica so far!

My overall experience with Webafrica has been disappointing from the start. Firstly, after indicating the router needs to be delivered to my office and giving the address it was sent to my empty home and then returned to the depot. I then had to drive to Courier-it's depot and collect it myself as they could only redeliver in two days. I then spoke to a consultant a day later who informed me he will escalate activation and the sim would be activated by the next morning which it was not. I then spoke to another consultant Loreal, who informed me they have a backlog of a week and my sim will only active by earliest the end of the week as they busy with last weeks orders at the moment. She then said she will follow up on my order which was laughable as she didn't even ask my name or any details to see my account, so not sure if she is psychic and got my details in a vision she had, but also told me by the next morning it will be activated as she escalated it now. However, 72 hours later I sent them another tweet after numerous tweets, emails and phone calls and after threatening to cancel my order and lodging a complaint with the advertising complaints commission for false advertising (as they advertise activation will be in 48 hours) my sim activated in 5 minutes from speaking to them. So for me this has been overall a horrible experience with Webafrica and I have to say the customer service is nonexistent and the only reason I will be staying with them is that they offer month-to-month Telkom LTE, but as soon as a different provider offers it as well then I will be leaving.

Got LTE and only had it for a few days, seems fine right now. But really disappointed that when I signed up that I wasn't told beforehand that I would be billed in advance for the first month for the few days it has been active. Didn't even add billing method and was automatically billed from my bank account that didn't even have money in it. Now I will got extra bank charges unnecessarily. Thanks for that.
Honestly that's some shady sh*t. Will only get a 1 star from me just because of that.

My experience has been totally awesome...took a few minutes to apply, I was still reading some info on the website and I already received my first 3 emails, including the payment details. I then made the payment, within seconds I received a call from the IP to schedule instillation. We arranged date and time, my amazement the crew rocks up half hour earlier and install just over an hour. Hour and a half later I received a call to check on my router, 5 minutes later received my user & password...tried it and service activated...the most painless and pleasant experience I've ever had with anything I have done

Special thanks to Willie their WhatsApp Bot and the LiveChat team for prompt feedback. A bit of advice - human interaction is still good for responding to customer's enquiries

It is sad that one has to revert to social media to get a response from a COMMUNICATIONS company!! There is no support, there is no response to emails, there is no response to WhatsApps!!! Quick to take ones money every month but cannot offer customer support or service!!

So disappointed by the service received. Placed order on 23 March and still no router 10 days later. All you ever receive when querying is a computer generated reply saying it will be delivered in 2 days. So sorry I ever signed up.

All sorted now but was so unnecessary if staff just communicated efficently and honestly. Well done to the management team for stepping up to the plate even on a Friday night.

4 days to get the Sim and router delivered and another 48 working hours to activate a Sim after its been delivered, that's ridiculus. I was expecting to use the data immediately... Not satisfied with this. That's going to be a total of 9 days since I ordered the Sim to the time I can use it. Ridiculous!!!!

I received extremely bad service from Afrihost , as I have was waiting for installing for nearly two months , and they couldn't give me an installation date ,and loadshedding was killing me as I work from home . I decided to cancel with Afrihost and try Webafrica and Wow!! exceptional service received from Webafrica ,my fiber was installed within a week and I also received followup calls. I am so happy! Keep it up guys :)

at this company regarding a billing dispute. I have been trying to get through to them for days. Rather take your money elsewhere. Why must it be so difficult to get basic support???

Please be careful when considering Webafrica.
The product I am paying for is a 20Mbps line but I only got 10Mbps.
They blamed load shedding for the slower speed and closed my support ticket without additional investigation.
I called them yesterday and told them I think my line is on 10Mbps instead of 20Mbps.
It was in fact the case.
So Webafrica charges you for a 20Mbps line but only provide you with a 10Mbps line and if you complain about it you don't get feed back at all or when you do get feedback they blame it on load shedding.

Been without fibre since Saturday 22nd August 2020 and no feedback from Webafrica at all. Most impossible companyto get hold of on the phone or their so called helpful whattsapp chat line. Absolutely pathetic service. Since we have subscribed with them we have only had fiber for 5 days. And onething after another we still struggling to get hold of the accounts department now. Pathertic service from @Webafrica #Webafrica

Honestly spent 10+ years looking for a reliable ISP with an appreciation for the customer experience and since I joined WebAfrica a few years back I've been happy. On the off time that I've had unexpected issues, whether that was with Telkom of Vumatel, they've always gone the extra mile to ensure I get the service I'm paying for.

Its has been of great benefit to us as we only been able to use the line for our internet and our Telkom lines were been stolen on a contested base which had a huge effect on our flower sales. Now that we have the LTE we on the run the whole time which is great. The serves have been grate with friendly and patient staff.

Worst ISP ever. They cancelled my Fiber order twice in a period of 2 months claiming we are in an excluded zone for fiber. When I phoned Frogfoot they said there is definitely fiber available. The next they they did the installation and said it will be active the next day. Its now a month later and im still waiting.

I have been begging for assistance from web africa...

I have been begging for assistance from web africa for almost a week now and of course no luck what so ever.

I have logged 5 tickets, 2 whatsapp queries, and attempted to fb messenger them of course once again no assistance.

What I did however receive back was to reboot the Fiber box and router which of course did not solve the problem.

So here I am a week with no response or assistance and I am absolutely disgusted at this terrible service.

I'll be happy to turn this review around if some can assist me with getting what I am paying for, which is a 20 mbps line that gives me more than 0.16mbps.

I was so impressed with the response time in which everything was installed only to find out that my 2nd hand router that was delivered was actually broken. After spending over an hour on the phone with a consultant the call dropped just before 2 and when calling back, technical was closed for the rest of the day. I called back on Monday, you confirmed it was a problem with the router and that I would have one by this morning, the 20th of November. I have just called your offices as I have not received anything from your side and I was advised that it will now only be delivered tomorrow. I am being billed from last week however I cannot use the services and I keep receiving commitment that have yet to materialize. Very disappointing.

Timely communication from the service provider was a bit of a struggle as updated and current communication was only on the app only and nothing is said on emails/ smses to advise one even of that. So improvements on customer support, especially first-time subscribers- a HUGE suggestion!

Inexcusable lack of service from Heinrich at tech support this evening.
I am so sick and tired of service providers who have the audacity to blame the customer for their utter lack of service provision and then hide behind corporate speak of blaming everything on a third party. You have just lost a customer and I will ensure that I spread the word to as many people as possible (conversely to when I recommended Webafrica to as many people as I could when you actually were providing a good service). You reap what you sow.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS. WebAfrica is absolutely pathetic. I recently upgraded my line speed to 100mpbs and am only getting speeds of max 30-40mpbs and the connection is incredibly unstable and drops constantly. I have spend over 4 hours in total and sent over 20 emails to various email addresses and still 2 weeks later I m experiencing problems. I have not even received one call from management about the situation or not one apology yet I was just debited for a 100mbps line speed..

These guys are shocking!! STAY CLEAR and find a better service provider. There are many out there!

Once again webafrica has done it. Unparalleled service even after a brainfart from my side. Third service ordered from them and would most definitely without any hesitation recommend them to anyone.----

Update 27/11/2019 - Been waiting more than a month now for a new sim card for LTE services migration. Had a great response from their customer services dept that I should rather contact the courier company and arrange to pick up the sim myself! How great is this supposed service!?
I would advise to steer clear, pity though.

I had some difficulty getting someone on the telephone, but then decided to pop into Webafrica office.
My first encounter naturally was the receptionist who was extremely friendly and helpful.
I dealt with Darryl Hautzamer & Heinrich Dourie on two separate occasions and i was absolutely blown away by their efficiency, input, follow up procedures and their amazing friendliness.
They immediately made me feel comfortable and at home.
I have never encountered all of the above before and i am extremely impressed.
Unfortunately Cape Town has a reputation for bad service, but Webafrica has proven differently and i am proud today to be a Capetonian.
