Waytek has hosed me for the last time on their disreputable shipping charges. I will not purchase from them again, ever. I ordered $48 worth of connectors that were shipped to me in a box 6"x6"x6" and weighed less than a pound, and was charged $16.89. It's no wonder that they do not show their shipping costs at time of purchase like so many reputable internet sellers do. If those costs were shown at time of purchase I'm sure many would go elsewhere. I certainly would have.

terrible shipping scam make sure you get shipping quote before you buy or they will rip you off !!!They charge a handling fee and then they charge outrageous shipping fees after you place your order,you don't find out until after you pay for your order and its shipped!!! 2 small relays for mower cost 3.32 a piece 5 dollar handling charge $12.00 shipping charge its not the price its the deceit !!!
Best selection of quality electrical products I've found. Waytek has Great pricing on OEM quality products. If you need it they probably have it!! Most of my orders arrive in 3 days to Michigan.
Even though their prices are good expect to pay 30-50% over the cost of items even on a $250 order in shipping. So it pays to shop around with that expectation.

Great selection of products and good customer service. When you have a problem, keep in mind they are usually pretty busy, but they will take care of you. I've had some disappointments with shipping charges as others have mentioned, but those are typical rates for Fedex and UPS. I usually select Fedex Ground. You can ask them to ship your order in 1 box only or to bend long sticks of heat shrink tubing into a smaller box to save on shipping costs. Just make those requests in the order comments section when you check out.

Good selection of OEM connectors, terminals and circuit protection products. Very reasonable wire cost and multiple colors available quickly. The website can be slow to load and the on-line catalog is nice but somewhat difficult to use. I think the slow loading catalog and site is due to their large inventory.
I'm not a happy camper. I ordered $55 worth of 7 fuse holders, 45 small cable clamps and a 100' roll of 3/8" convolute. I was shocked to see today that I was charged $27 for shipping. I contacted customer service and was told that the convolute makes the boxes large and their shipper now charges by size. Guess what? They all do and this still would have been a third the price to ship anywhere else. What a scam, I've learned my lesson.
Have never been disappointed with an order placed with Waytek. Great stock, excellent pricing and orders ship the same day. Nothing more you could ask for. Highly recommend Waytek.
Waytek has a great selection of wiring supplies and fair pricing on most products. The problem is they use an antiquated shipping cost system from the 1980's that leaves you in the dark about prices until after your order is shipped. It's frustrating, feels misleading, and not something you would expect to see still in use today.
When placing an order you have to select a shipping method without knowing how much any of the options will cost. After your order ships you get billed what seems like exorbitant shipping costs in some cases. In other cases the shipping charges may be reasonable, the problem is that you have no idea how much it will cost when placing the order.
If Waytek cannot figure out how to give transparent shipping costs at the time of purchase then they should follow other companies like DelCity that offer free shipping on orders over $100 or something similar. Getting billed large amounts for shipping and not having any choice in the matter feels terrible as a customer. It's not the way business is done on the internet anymore.
I will be looking for another supplier after getting hit with high shipping charges on my last several orders. I'm not going to continue ordering from a company that is not up front on the shipping prices, and you shouldn't either.
If Waytek would solve this one issue I would order from them frequently and give them a much higher rating. Everything else about the company and the products they stock is great. The shipping issue is extremely frustrating, Waytek please fix it.
My go to place for electrical supplies. Been dealing with them for years. Good quality brands, not no-name offshore junk. I work with high end vehicles and need quality items that the auto parts store can't supply. Good selection and depth. Plenty of options for most items. Never have things back ordered. Fast shipping. Freight charges are reasonable, especially when factoring the prices of the parts into the total cost. I don't buy $10 worth of stuff at a time and expect it to cost me $2 to ship it. I understand that's not their business model.
Ordering was simple and price of product was fair. Product was exactly what I expected and was happy about that. The big negative was the OUTRAGEOUS cost of shipping. For the amount they charged I would have expected it the next day, instead it took over 3 1/2 weeks to arrive.
Same thing as the other complaints, website didn't list shipping. The confirmation email sent to my yahoo email address was jumbled and unreadable, ended up paying 24.11 S&H for $19.74 worth of parts that would fit into a small box. Called later that day after I went to their site to check tracking, would not let me cancel order. Will not use them again.
Outstanding communication, and very fair. A couple of the items were backordered, and they immediately agreed to cancel those items and refund the correct amount of money.
We have been buying from Waytek for 12+ years. As a repair business their pricing is always good and they have top quality products. We keep a very large stock of their products on hand and place larger orders a few times a year. As a wholesale customer we have no complaints!
The website is great to navigate, easily to identify parts. Staff is helpful and quick to response. Products are great quality, looking forward to shopping with them again!!

That their online ordering system cannot tell the buyer the shipping cost, and that the cost is twice what it should be, in this day and age is absurd. I placed a similar size/weight/value order through Mouser and shipping was $6.99. Waytek soaked me for $16.90! This is a mistake on my part that I will not make again.
Excellent website with online catalog, good search capability, and links to datasheets. Shipping was quick, and entire order of 23 line-items and ~100 pieces was complete, well packaged and organized.

Thanks to online retailers packing little items in rather large boxes, UPS has dramatically changed their rate structure. UPS could no longer rely on weight alone, when packing trucks. Now they use an algorithm that involves weight and the cubic dimension of the package. This is not the fault of Waytek or other vendors that ship via UPS. Waytek is still an excellent source for our needs as an automotive upfitting shop.
Been buying more and more from waytek. There product is nice and new . Had 1 little problem missing some insulators and as fast as I asked about it they were already apologetic and shipping the correct parts I needed. With the situation we are in with covid. They seemed to have never missed a step, kept answering phones an shipping parts.

I too ran into problems with Waytek's shipping policies. Why not USPS? Because its not "convenient" for them, at one time they did use USPS but only for a short time. Why would I place a small order for $15 (2 switches) then be charged $16.73 for shipping using UPS? No thanks, there are other companies out there and they WILL use USPS. Unless its a large order, and I still do place large orders with Waytek, I suggest shopping around.
Waytek has a selection and quality of components I haven't found anywhere else. Shipping was quick even during the pandemic. Prices are fair for the level of hardware you're buying.
Waytek Wire used to be a quality company. Now they use misleading practices and deceptive scams to try and bilk money out of small businesses. Poor customer service as well. Recommend avoiding this company at all costs.
I should have checked the reviews before I ordered. I found Waytek and decided to try them out. I ordered 100 20 AWG terminal pins and 5 connectors. I was charged a $5 fee due to the order being so small, but I wanted to see about the shipping. As others have stated, they do not give you the shipping costs until after you place your order. My shipping charges for items that will fit inside of a padded envelope was almost $18.00!! What is even better is that they added on a catalog to my order, increasing the weight and shipping charges!! I am thankful I didn't order the 15 spools of wire I was needing. Del City offers free shipping on orders over $100.00. Dishonest business practices!
Wow what a rip off . I purchased a fuse for 8 dollars they charged me a handling fee off 5 dollars and then they sneaked in a shipping charge of 12 dollars after I gave credit bringing the total to 25 dollars. What a real rip off I won't buy anything from them every again. And the best part is it's not priority shipping. But I should receive it in 6 days. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!
Love this place. I make my living wiring custom cars and can't afford to use the bottom-of-the-barrel garbage unreliable chinesium junk parts they sell at hardware and auto parts stores anymore. Waytek has everything I need and it almost always ships the same day I order it.
Just made my first order from Waytek and I'm pleased. I have read all of the reviews online about them overcharging for shipping. After I had already placed my order of course. And I was a little shocked after they charged me $100 ups shipping on a $600 order. But I waited until I got my boxes before I placed judgement. Shipped very quickly. It came in 4 boxes. I too have a commerical account with UPS so I took the size of the boxes and weight to investigate the cost. I found that they are actually getting a better discount than I am. Probably because they ship more than I do. My cost to ship it to them was $120. $30 per box on average. 10x10x10 box averaging 23lbs per box. So my conclusion is It just cost more to ship this stuff these days. Fedex was almost the same price. It's just high and nothing we can do about it.. I will be purchasing from them again and I'm glad I found them. Still cheaper than anyone else I've found..
Great prices. They beat the others by a lot in my order quantities. And they ship it fast. Unfortunately as other have said you cant tell what the shipping charges at checkout. This is a big problem when trying to calculate pricing for my own products. They seem to be addressing this problem so I hope it will be fixed soon.
Love the products from Waytek, only issue I have is always having to buy minimum quantities of simple items. Sometimes I don't need 10 relay shells. This is when I go to other companies like Brown n Miller.
I have dealt with Waytek for over 15 years, and as a professional, my average order is always $300.00 plus. Shipping is a lot more expensive than it used to be, and I am aware of that, and take that into consideration when I order. Waytek is not Amazon Prime, so get over it. I have always had accuracy and promptness with every order I have placed. I am happy.

I looked all over Canada for an Inpower Battery Switch and no one had one in stock. I ordered online with Waytek and it was shipped that same day FedEx overnight had it the following day. price for part was very reasonable as where the freight charges. Will definitely keep them in mind for hard to find parts. Will keep the free catalogue close at hand. Definitely recommend them

After I set up my resale account placed my first order and it was so simple, just moments after, I received a confirmation email, then a ship alert and a few days later I received my order complete. I ordered a small circuit breaker for a project, and their shipping department screwed up my order by charging me about $50 to mail a 3 ounce breaker, without checking with me first about the high shipping rate. They said that they use UPS as their default shipper and that was the rate. BS! The USPS would have only charged $6.73 for the same service. I called to complain, and the girl I talked with on the phone took no responsibility for their error nor showed any empathy. Only after threatening to refuse the package and then charge it back via my credit card did they decide to rebate 1/2 of the shipping cost to get it somewhat more inline with reality.
BOTTOM LINE: Be careful ordering from these guys on their website. They do not pay attention to common sense when they ship. They determine the shipping price after you place the order so that they can use the most convenient shipping for them regardless of the cost to the customer.
Pricing can be a little high but the customer service is great and shipping time is very minimal. My inside sales rep is very quick to respond and the website is very easy to maneuver.
My boss had me on an expedition to get Molex connectors... I had no idea which parts were needed or what was compatible with what. I was beyond frustrated and only had 1 part number to go of off. With the part number I had to start with Bob, from customer service, was able to help me get everything I needed. He was extremely nice and patient, and he explained exactly what I would need and why. A+ in my books.

Folks at Waytek care about your business. They usually have everything in stock and turn all orders around in a timely fashion. You order something wrong and want to send it back, no questions asked . I have been doing business with Waytek for about 1-1/2 years and could not be happier with a vendor.
