I wish I could rate this no-stars. The staff in the front office staff are so useless and they provide misleading information. Their attitude is very unprofessional and rude. It's like they don't want to help you at all and want to just get rid of you. If you need any help then go to one of the counselors, they are far more helpful than the office staff. The big fat guy in the Downtown location acts like he knows it all when he's actually providing misleading information. The skinny old guy is super disrespectful.
Overall, the staff are garbage.

Wayne county community college staffing is pathetic. They are placed to serve , their employees do not want to help you. Their employees in the financial department are never helpful!!! They refer you online to an outdated system which doesn't work effectively. There is a man in the financial aid department who is very unprofessional he answers the phone as if its his personal line , he has no clue on how to serve or guide. I truly say this is done to continue to make the black community unsuccessful. I will be filing a grievance and investigation of accrediting .

Lousy and unprofessional, even by community college standards. The few professors worth anything aren't worth dealing with the rest of them. The people giving this institution high ratings are likely very, very inexperienced with post-secondary education and think this is the standard.
It's not. You, dear reader, deserve better than WCCCD will give you.

I received my first failing grade *ever* because one of their professors is incompetent about running online courses, and then was churlishly rude in his response when I suggested a way to make everyone happy. Will the college do anything to help? Of course not. They've already gotten my money, and apparently don't realize that greed will cost them in the long run.
Don't waste your time or your money here, because they very much do not care about providing a quality service. Take your tuition dollars elsewhere, and I'll take bitter pleasure in the knowledge that I helped some poor student avoid making the same mistake I did.

It's sad when you can't talk to ANYONE at certain locations (Northwest and Downtown) regarding a credit (money, NOT financial aid) that is on your account that NEEDS to be APPLIED to a class. The SMDH moment is that I have been trying to get this taken care of since DECEMBER 2020. This district has added late fees to make matters worse.
To answer any dumb questions, YES, I have left messages, went to the campus, spoke to a REAL person only to be told, It's not their department and I NEED to see someone else. Each person I am sent to states that I have to do XYZ, well XYZ has been done and still NEVER the Correct person or Department.

Everyone that has LOOKED at the information can SEE their is a CREDIT of OVERPAYMENTS. This NEEDS to be taken care of ASAP.

I contacted the school via phone, simply inquiring of the status of my application since I hadn t heard anything back from them since I applied nearly a month ago. After 20 minutes of waiting, I was finally on the line with a representative. In a few short, simple words I informed the representative of my request and before I could finish, she butted in and placed me on a hold which lasted an additional 20 minutes. Then, to make matters worse, the call dropped. When I tried calling back, it said the phone had been disconnected. I have made several attempts in contacting the school and each time I am let down. I am appalled. What an awful institution! If you can, take your time and money elsewhere. They are most certainly not worth it!

Horrible! I will never.. almost felt bad for the waitress she was by herself but not at all on point

I achieved my objective without any difficulty. Staff was courteous and polite. An excellent school!

A great institution for higher education and certificate training programs. They've also just opened a new entrepreneurship center @ the downtown campus!
