Fantastic service. i turned up on a friday afternoon to get the crank arms replaced. They did they job straight away, they had 2nd hand parts available so i didn't have to buy a brand new chainset, and was half the price. Quick, efficient and friendly staff. Can't recommend them enough

Visiting the area on business and finding myself in need of emergency bike repairs, I was fortunate to be close to the lovely people at Watford Cycle Hub. They couldn't have been more helpful. As was only in the area for a day they couldn't get the mech hanger I needed in time but helped me make sure that there was one waiting at my local repair shop when I returned home. Other great advice given, straightened my wheel and a jolly nice chat in the hour or so I spent with Kate and the team. A wonderful community resource I thoroughly recommend.

I took my damaged bike to the cycle hub after being hit by a car. The driver immediately claimed responsibility and offered to pay for the damages. The cycle hub carried out the repair but charged the driver a small fraction of the cost, while billing me the rest, claiming that a lot of the work was added by them as standard service work that I had to pay for, even though the bike was in good working order before I took it to them.

It's a shame that a cycle hub like this is not standing on side of cyclists who are braving the roads to support cycling to work. Drivers should be encouraged to treat cyclists with the same vigilance as another vehicle, and should pay the fair price if they injure a cyclist. In this case it was the opposite, not very encouraging.

On the plus side, the workmanship was good, although I had to return the bike a few days later as the chain they replaced mine with was faulty.

Friendly bike enthusiasts. Unfortunately weakness or whatever it is has taken over the centre and more women only rides are organised giving less opportunities for the rest of us. This has turned a family activity into a segregated environment which has no place in 2016. I've been on lots of rides and never seen an issue until some people create one out of thin air. Disappointed politics and cycling meet when it should be a great unifier

My review of Watford Cycle Hub started off as a 5 star review as I got my bike serviced and got taught how to service it at the same time, you just don't get that service elsewhere. Since then I've volunteered in the shop and gained invaluable knowledge from Ian, Peter and Gordon. I've also joined the guys on their social rides and got so much fitter with the help of Georgia. Kate and Fiona really know what they're doing here and they offer the full package for a cyclist. Now my review is a 5 star review with sprinkles on top!

Brilliant, friendly place run by experts, so you know you and your bike are in experienced hands! They also have a great selection of bargain-priced bikes! I'm always surprised by how inexpensive they are for the quality. Wish I lived nearer Watford so I could go all the time, to be honest. Highly recommended.

Nice shop but not cheap. The shop staff told me it would take 2wks to get them fixed because of high demands in summer holiday. I couldn t afford their offered prices and wait two wks so left with broken bikes and 3 unhappy kids. Then magic More

They rebuilt my old bike so well that I've asked them to build my son his first real bike: can't wait to see the result, and you can see it here and on facebook at the beginning of September!

I've been coming here for over two years. Everyone there is always welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable and approachable. Whatever cycling means to you, your cycling will be enhanced by coming here even if it is just to browse the bikes they receive to recondition and safety check. They put a massive smile on my daughter's face and explained to me the best way of getting her balanced on her two wheels as quickly and safely as possible. I have entrusted them with repairs which have always been done swiftly and at very reasonable cost. This is a great family and community hub with something for everyone and definitely worth our support.

Really wonderful organisation to help & encourage people to cycle. They also have cycles for hire. My son, who has been scared to learn, was within one hour (with the one to one lesson) completely different. Fiona is absolutely brilliant! Very patient, friendly and encouraging. We had a second lesson just to be sure and by the end he was happily cycling around in and around cones. I couldn t believe it. She also gave great advice in technique, safety and ideas on where to cycle etc.

The staff are very friendly and love everything about cycling. This means you get good support and advice. I am extremely grateful to Fiona as she managed to teach my youngest to ride in 3 days and my wife in a day. More support should be given to the Hub as it is a valuable resource and facility to the community
