Stayed there for over 12 days. Overall ok experience. Hotel is huge, with ample parking and natural scenery. Serves breakfast but very nominal with repetitive items. Staffs are friendly. Maintenance is not up to the standard, especially when it comes to room cleaning. They clean the loo only when you check in, even if you stay for almost 2 weeks, which is really unacceptable. Though they are supposed to change the bed sheets in 3 days, they will do only if you remind. It's a good choice for those families who come to Waterloo to drop their kids in the nearby universities. I will not say good value for money, as it could have been much better than what its currently is.

Worst hotel in the world. The original room that we had booked was disgusting. Dirt and cobwebs everywhere. Jacuzzi was not working in our room. Asked for a new room. Was given one, but it smelled like they had fumigated the comforter? Took us forever to figure out what the stench was. View was horrible. Court yard over grown. Random cookie sheet left out the whole entire time. It might have been a nice hotel once, but do not waste your money going here. On top of that, they charged us full pop, and said that they couldn't give us a better rate because they were so busy. We saw no more than ten cars in the whole parking lot. Overall, displeased. Sleeping in our car would have been a better experience.

Good, but not great hotel in Waterloo. Nothing was unclean or bad, but the rooms were quite dated and in need of some renovating, especially the bathrooms. The beds were huge and comfortable though temperature control was lacking and my room was freezing during the day and sweltering in the middle of the night. The pool and sauna looked very nice, though the gym, while adequate, had mostly older machines and was lacking things like a water cooler. The breakfast was good, though didn't change from day to day. Staff was very friendly all around. The bar was also nice and had some delicious local beer, but wasn't always staffed so we had to wait to be served some times. Also, make sure to have a 4wd car to get into the parking lot in the winter as the lot is not well plowed.

My room was extremely old school. I m not sure the other photos are accurate but these are the photos from my room when I stayed there. I was opening my curtains and found a used water bottle underneath so it gave me a sign they don t clean much here.. wouldn t want to stay here again.

This is a quiet gem of a hotel in Waterloo. Large, clean rooms, lots of choices in the free breakfast and an affordable room price make this hotel one we will visit again. When our initial room assignment was not appropriate for a handicapped family member, the front staff quickly switched our room to one that was easily accessible and perfect for our needs. Very ample parking.

VIOLATION OF PRIVACY

VIOLATION OF PRIVACY
I am with Tupperware Corporate and our company booked an event at your hotel. I flew in from the US to stay at your hotel. My experience was great until checkout. Not only did no one come and find me to let me know that they were about to remove my things from the room, when I went up to the room, I found all of my things gone and downstairs I m some back room. This has NEVER happened in America or when I stayed in Europe. I feel completely violated, I have no idea what they touched, if they took anything, I ve never felt so gross after leaving a hotel. I will not be back after that experience, and I will be letting our corporate office know to never book another conference here. Unacceptable.

Place is rather large, hallways are outdated but actual rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is available which includes eggs, bacon, cereal etc. The parking lot surrounds the entire building but the centre of the grounds is full of plants.

Front reception is lousy and incompetent. Wifi does not work after calling front reception multiple times, room is old and sink tap trickled water. Don't let the front shot of this hotel fool you, this place is old, dated (what hotel uses floral wallpaper anymore?) and the layout of this place is very confusing.

Disappointing experience. I accept older hotels...but not dirty older hotels. We chose this hotel because of the previous reviews and the fact that they accepted dogs. We were traveling with our 3 month old puppy. But the room they gave us made us feel like we were given the dirtiest room because we had a puppy with us. There was something like chips or corn chips missed by the vacuum cleaner outside our door, there was left over carpet cleaner in our room which our puppy was very interested in and when we returned tonight after a long day, the bed was hardly made and it looked like the cleaning crew just threw the pillows on the bed. Not at all what we expected. We will not be staying here again.

I was at the Inn of Waterloo for a business meeting. The venue was perfectly serviceable for a town hall event. The hot breakfast was pretty good and it consisted of eggs, sausage, potatoes and various pastries. The staff was accommodating and hospitable. Overall I had a pleasant experience.

I find the front entrance is very beautiful but the rest of the hotel seems to be dead there's not a lot of people there. I find there's not a lot of Hotel staff so you there on your own trying to figure out what the hotel has to offer. The rooms are clean.

I booked 3 rooms through Expedia for the Inn of Waterloo on King Street. When we arrived around 4 I stood in line for 40 minutes to check in and 1 room wasn't ready. We gathered in one of the two rooms that were ready and at one point there was a knock on the door and before waiting for a response someone from housekeeping walked in. She apologized and said she was checking to make sure we had pillow cases and wasn't missing any towels. In the other room we later found garbage left in the room and dirty towels. At 5:45 we had not yet received a call about the third room. I went to the desk and requested a refund on room 3. I was told I would get a refund through Expedia but there was nothing provided to me in writing, even when requested. The next morning I tried to stop and return the keys and ask for a receipt. The lineup at the front desk was again unreasonable. We moved on to breakfast. There were no coffee cups for one coffee maker, neither coffee maker had any coffee ready, there were no cups for juice, and no spoons. By this time we were simply frustrated and left, again without anything in writing about the refund on room 3 because there was again a lineup at the front desk.

Was checking in a colleague who was from out of the country. It was settled for him already with the place that he wouldn't need a credit card and he was to get a room with a stove, but he did not, and the check in representative needed a credit card. I didn't want an issue and offered mine, he swiped it and I put in my Pin. A receipt printed but apparently it wasn't mine, and he went at looking at other invoices for my receipt and could not find it. I don't see the pending charge online, however I feel odd having entered my pin for my credit card and it being approved however no trace of it. The room was on the very far end, no one had offered to help with the 12 bags my colleague and his wife had, and once you get to the room there is only a light for the front door way, you need to navigate in the dark to find that the only other lights are bedside lamps.

We loved this place for the proximity to our sporting venue. Our team was not roomed together and the rooms were on the dingy side. The pool was okay. Front staff was extremely friendly as well as breakfast staff.

Just checked out of The Inn. Very dissatisfied and disappointing stay. Among other reasons why it was disappointing one of them was because I booked this hotel specifically for the pool and hot tub I saw on website pictures, pool was much too cold and the hot tub was out of order because of one broken tile. They informed me it wouldn't be fixed for several days. I said they should have told me when I was checking in. The staff were not very sympathetic to our situation. The city view was a parking lot. The breakfast was okay, no bacon like promised the night before, but they had clearly taken extra precautions with the continental breakfast because of the virus. Everything was individually wrapped.

I went there for conference .The second day of arrival the housekeeping came and cleaned the room. The same night I took shower then discovered two of my dolce cabana perfume were missing. I looked everywhere even under the bed and behind TV stand. No luck. I filed complaint with the manager the second day. He did an investigation. Then told us "sorry we don't have them." I'm very happy with the service and breakfast they offered. But lost two name brand perfume at same time was awful. Not trying to blame the housekeeper, but she was only one who has access to my room at that time . Very disappointed for this matter, please be aware of your personal belongings!!!

The Inn of Waterloo is always a great experience although some of the standard quality features like a full breakfast were unavailable due to Covid they went out of there way to provide a continental breakfast instead. The new feature allowing you to book their amazing pool for 75 min for family members within your Bubble was wonderful. My family and i very much enjoyed this experience. They provided amazing service during a very difficult time if you stay here you wont be disappointed

The service here was exactly what you would want from a hotel, and the location is very close to a pretty good mall, so that's also a bonus. There's a restaurant in the hotel, so you don't even need to go anywhere if you don't want to. The pool is fine, nothing fancy, but it's cozy, if that makes any sense. The hot tub was nice and hot, so a plus there.
