My wife and I had lunch there today.
I don t normally comment or complain about my dining experiences.
Great views and ambience, although very disappointing food quality and pricing.
Despite the location I cannot justify premium pricing for bistro style food in a very competitive hospitality environment.
The greeting from the guy at the door was great but that's where good news ended.
Both. My and l ordered pork belly and it was worst we have ever had, it was inedible such disappointed.

The most wonderful venue overlooking cronulla beach. Beautiful interior, so why only 3 stars? THE MENU... Very minimal to choose from 3 meats, beef (steak) lamb (rib chops) pork (belly fat) and, of course chicken and fish. THE PRICE? Top of the range and the service mediocre. I have seen much better in country areas, by far. Food quality... GOOD. No entertainment at all, only poker machines. Not my cup of tea.

Great space overlooking the picturesque beach. Just a shame about the price for the quality of the food. $30 for a half-palm sized piece of barramundi fish or $30 for chicken Parma. Other local places offer at 1/2-2/3 this price for bigger portions and better tasting. If at night, skip this place since you can't see the view anyway

Good clean place, just wish the bushes out side get trimmed so it won't hide the view of the ocean.

Whats with the decor....ikea...the view can't be enjoyed due to the seating.......think about the locals not the transients.we're the ones who keep coming back....and ask your staff who know what's going on not godsons who know sweet fa!!
Been here for lunch twice in the last month & had the lamb poke bowl the 1st time & then a salmon poke bowl. Yum! The decor & view are lovely as are the staff.

Great position for an RSL looking over the main beach in Cronulla, decor and furnishings are good and very clean.
Food is on par with any RSL, not fantastic but good.
Bathroom facilities are very clean and modern.
All staff were very receptive and professional.
Loved the tradition of honouring the fallen armed forces personnel at 6 o'clock.
Definitely will visit again when back in Cronulla
Have to say that I was very impressed by this restaurant. Ambience is nice since is located inside RSL Club, which means that there's that "exclusive beach vibe". Also when you're inside the view is amazing! You can see Cronulla main beach and also it's park.
Food is great as well. It looks pricey but when it arrives you can see that totally worth it since it's very big and depending on you can even share with someone else. Their "fish and chips" is amazing and will totally come back!
Just had our car club Xmas dinner for over 100 members. Food was fantastic and they looked after us a treat.

Had the chicken parmigiana and chips were cold parama was average. Usual cronulla rsl slop. Not here for the food
Food was great , view was superb, a shame then that the staff were a bit disinterested and unhappy. UPDATE JULY: Emailed the club as per their request at the bottom of my review, one month ago. To date no reply from them so perhaps the club request is for public consumption to "show" they care....Update August : true to their word I spoke with the restaurant managers and passed on my feedback - all good from our end. Thank you for taking time to listen !!

What really lets this place down is the security staff and duty managers. Don't go here.. youve been warned!

I was there last Monday and ordered the surf and turf... food and place was awesome. Quiz night was on but the quiz master s humour might be a bit offensive as his side comments are making fun of others (bit racy)

Online booking was seamless. The menu is vast and has something for everyone. We enjoyed the steak, fish and chicken dishes.

Attended the RSL last night for the 1st time in a long time and had a great night playing in the Cronulla RSL website advertised NPL poker game. The only thing that tarnished what was an awesome evening was the attitude we received from the manager on duty. I haven't witnessed such rudeness in a long time to be honest. As we were first time attendees we didn't know where to go, and when we asked him for help the he didn't even look at us. You could feel his disdain for us immediately. It was completely unwarranted as well as unnecessary. We were merely asking for help to find the advertised poker event. He faced the window to the front of reception and spoke in an incredibly patronising voice where to go, he also said "NO DRINKS IN THE RECEPTION AREA" all the while not even looking in our direction. It just felt ridiculous to be honest.
Otherwise we had an awesome night in an amazing venue.

Ordered pork belly. Received rubbery, tough and inedible squares of old meat. Sides were lacklustre and odd (apple pieces swimming in steak gravy?!).
Don't sell yourself as casual fine dining (with prices to match) when you deliver subpar food with no service.

This place is full of action ... the meal selections is great, a bit overcrowded otherwise it is a good place for catching up with some casual friends

We enjoyed a fabulous evening in this club last night. We had pre dinner drinks in the bar area gazing out the window at the spectacular ocean views. The 6 of us ate in the Cafe and all our meals were well cooked, well presented and absolutely delicious. The menu here is extensive and varied and very reasonably priced. The Salmon was amazing. We then enjoyed coffee and cake downstairs and watched some sports. The new renovations and refurbishments in this club are very attractive. Look forward to returning again very soon.

I ama member and have eaten here since the 70s. Earlier this year I ordered an overpriced Calamari abd found pieces of chicken in it.?
Despite the comforting and extensive Covid precautions being undertaken The Watergrill still provided an excellent lunch, efficient service and stunning views.
Great food. Generous portions and varied menu. Excellent quality. Awesome view and environment.
Used to be a great place to eat but now it is ridiculously overpriced. Perhaps the massive income from the multitudes of pokies they have, should go towards lowering the meal prices so that elderly, can actually afford to enjoy a meal there. The atmosphere is great if your under 50 years old or go there before 6pm.

Good venue with well decorated interiors, layout is very easy going laid back, perfect for a relaxing meal or beer!
Great views of the beach. Food was just ok small servings. Veggies where luke warm to cold. Staff were very good.
Due to Covid we had a 5pm dinner booking which was lovely had a stunning view as the sun was setting.
Only issue I have is the meals are massive, as I have had stomach surgery it makes it very hard to order very small meals anywhere and kids meals just don t float my boat, after dinner we even managed to move areas with out. Problem we had a great night .

Had lunch downstairs. Food and food service great. Bar service not good. Disinterested barman. Tables not cleared for well over an hour. More staff needed.
The food was terrible and you had to queue for 10 minutes to get a drink. Staff were generally friendly however took my partner's plate from the table while I was still eating and we were definitely rushed off our table.
