Have done business with Kirkwood Material for years. Consistently efficient with recommendations for getting jobs done. Great service. Competitive prices.

We ordered a load of rock. The driver tore up our driveway, left without speaking to me, and forged my signature. After several phone conversations they agreed to refund the delivery charge. I think they should have offered to refund the charge instead of making me call and ask for it. On a positive note the other times I ve used this company all went well.

First time there, will be back for sure. Staff was awesome & materials affordable.

My first transaction with this company was rather ignorant to say the least. Fat boy behind the keyboard on the left replied his day was "PEACHY" He should be fired, there were multiple confusions on the site until the forklift technicians help. May I add they're the only people working here with respect for their customers. They send you on a wild goose chase from building to building expecting someone to be ready with materials when they aren't. Walking around aimlessly through the lumber yard looking for help isn't service at all. If it wasn't for the mere fact that I NEEDED the material I'd never be back.

We purchased man made decking and vinyl hand rails they look great. Love these guys.

I can't think of one time I've been there, and them not have what I need.. Kirkwood material is my go-to for everything landscaping

Needed concrete splash blocks, these guys had them, fair price and the minute you walk onto this property there is an army of helpful employees ready to assist you. Will be my go to place for landscapingybuilding projects.

I was greeted in a friendly and professional manner by Rodney. Assisted by Paul in the yard who took time and care to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for. Stone delivered by Ken who couldn't have been more polite and professional. There are other stoneyards closer to my home but Kirkwood has earned my future business. I will recommend!

If I could do 0 Stars I would. I have been here a few times to buy large amounts of bricks and mulch for my company. I called to get a price on mulch and I think he said his name was rick and red was extremely rude to me. I will no longer give them business. I purchase thousand of dollars worth of materials per season and will take my business elsewhere. I will also tell all my landscaping friends and companies to do the same. Very unpleased.

We ordered 2 CY of pulverized topsoil. Price was competitive and delivery was on time. The material looked like light brown pulverized clay with no hint of good black organic material. I went on the reputation of the company, but was disappointed. I called and they said that is what they call "topsoil ". I'll have to look at it first if there is a next time. Paul

Best place around to buy rock and stone. They also have pretty good mulch and soils. Stay away from the Big Box Stores if buying quantity, this place is a fraction of the cost of bagged rock and mulch.

This is my first time (definitely not my last) there, and everyone was so very nice and accommodating. I explained my problem to Rodney and before I knew it he took me to the department for landscape rocks, suggested what he thought that I should get - suggested landscape weed barrier and then when I explained that I couldn't lift the bags of rock - THEY SPLIT them for me so that I could get them out of the car. All with a big smile ! I will be back !!! Thx

A friend and I had bought firewood kindling on several occasions in the past. Last fall they were out and didn t know when or if they would carry it again. On a whim, I thought I d try again and was told over the phone that they had it. I get there 2 hours later and two counter salesman told me they no longer carry it. Shame on me for not asking the persons name when I called.

They sell bulk materials like mulch, garden soil, and rock much cheaper than the big home improvement stores. They offer delivery if you don't have a truck or trailer.

Rodney worked with us since probably Sept. We wanted blocks to build a new mailbox. Kirkwood Materials did not have them in stock. He kept my husband posted every inch of the way. Called about 5 times to keep us informed. Hard worker. Very knowledgeable. Greeted us warmly when my husband introduced himself on Sat. He got things done quickly. Guys outside loading etc were movers and shakers. They appeared to get along well as they often teased each other. It was a true pleasure doing business with Kirkwood Materials, but more so, we love Rodney. Very, very pleased.

Do not waste your time here. Everything you may need but at a large mark up. I'm here often for work. Not my choice. The sales staff are arrogant and condescending to say the least. All of the people in the yard are very friendly and helpful. Visit the home improvement stores and save money and find those eager to help. Dread coming here but have no choice.

They are great! Have everything you need and then some! We get bulk mulch there all the time! They also deliver.

Excellent service every time I go into the Kirkwood location. Recently I purchased 80 feet of edging stones and 6 tons of rock that I had delivered to my home. The staff is always very helpful Rick, Ron, Jesse, Eugene (everyone) . Frankie just delivered the rock to my driveway. He was very prompt, friendly and did a better job of backing into my driveway then I do! He made sure the rock was dumped where I wanted it to make the spreading process easier (wish he could have stayed for that part). I'll be back on soon, thanks!

Careless workers ruined my truck when loading. They were rude and refused to pay for damages. I don t recommend doing business here

Kirkwood location staff were very helpful with my home French Drain project. Bought 1 ton of 3/4" clean rock and permeable fabric. Made two trips due to weight limit of truck. Prices and material selection much better than the box stores. Plus if you have questions, the staff can answer them. 5 stars.

If you wanted any kind of material for any sort of project, this place has it. Like for outdoor firepit, they have the blocks and lava rock in small or big sizes. And they have pond and fountain equipment and installers here. I had a project that involved a firepit and a ton of mulch and pond stones, and it turned out great. Come here if you need a place to get stuff done

Eureka location one of the worst staffed material places ive ever seen! Done dealing with them.They are rude,arrogent,provoking,and completly unprofessional. They dont even know what materials they got in stock!

Called to ask about large 8 foot long stones used in retaining walls and got laughed at for some reason. Then I asked what shipping would cost to my home which is 2 1/2 hours away and got laughed at again for some reason. ?? Whoever that employee was that was on the phone with me need to read a customer service for dummies book and learn how to treat paying customers

I have done business with Kirkwood Material several times and always had a good experience until now. I ordered several yards of mulch to be delivered. It was delivered promptly however we were substantially shorted the amount of mulch we ordered. We have ordered the same amount each year for seven years and always had excess mulch after spreading. I called and spoke to the manager Mike, who was absolutely no help whatsoever. Drove to the store and purchased an additional $65 bagged mulch which did not match my original mulch. Very disappointed in the service and will not be returning.
