I'll need to go back again when the whole sculpture garden isn't under construction. Also, their glass walls are an optical illusion, I wound up banging my head hard on the glass while trying to see something outside, and the docent just said "That happens from time to time".

Really beautiful interesting sculptures. Great on a weekday when there aren't as many people around. Loved that some pieces are interactive and meant to be touched. Would love to find a time when it's empty, but I suppose that's rare. Gorgeous view of the Basilica and Downtown. Perfect for families, friends, or livers.

The "main entrance" leads into a hall next to the bookstore. The museum is user unfriendly, with small directional signs posted on the walls. I met a friend for lunch, but the "cafe" serves no coffee or alcohol. The Sculpture Garden is one of my favorite Twin City places, but unless there is a very special exhibit, I wouldn't care to go back.

Really loved this place, the exhibitions are so artistic and well displayed throughout. The art is very provcative and interesting. For someone who has no knowledge of Art l really enjoyed it here...it's great to come here alone and get lost in the various art pieces. For the first time here and as an Irishman this is such a cool place to check out and very reasonable gallery fee! Would love to see what's on display when l return in April next year.

The way the space is laid out is a bit confusing, but the material is always fresh and fun to navigate. There are usually some interactive pieces. The sculpture garden is a must-see for the Twin Cites.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Visited the park for the first time and thought it was nice. People didn't like the landscaping, but natural prairie landscaping/restoration takes at least three seasons for it to really flourish. Just be patient folks. The gardens will be spectacular in a few years and the art was great.

A beautiful museum! I loved it, the building itself is so enchanting and modern that you feel like you are walking through art as well as past it. It is really easy to get lost however but after a few minutes you will usually happen upon art again. There isn t a lot of seating in every section which, as someone who likes to sketch in museums, was somewhat disappointing. The information panels were very clear and easy to understand. I really enjoyed The Maid which was as far upstairs as the art goes. I was happy to go on a free Thursday (thanks Target) and there was also free tea in beautiful pottery! All in all a wonderful experience.

Fun and free! If you're a MN native or just passing through the sculpture garden is a must see. It's a great way to experience art and nature. It's close to downtown Minneapolis and uptown so you have tons of options for lunch or dinner while you're out. I'll probably pack a picnic next time.

I can waste hours in this place. They cultivate great modern works and some really awesome videos. If you get a rainy day (or not) definitely worth going. It's a highlight of Minneapolis for me.

Alright Contemporary Art Museum with some unique pieces. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My problem is for the money there should be a lot more but it s still cool to check out.

High culture modern art center. Exhibits are interesting, even for those who aren't fans of modern art. Check its calendar for free admission days. Also, go check out the sculpture garden outside during the same visit. Has a cafe with good drinks. Lots for kids to do, too
