WAINWRIGHT ELEMENTARY Review

Wonderful school. Staff are among the best in HISD. Would not hesitate to put my child in this school.

Dr. Barrera was the person who stopped all the bullying. But the new principle, Ms.Olivia doesn't care! Bad environment for kids.
First reason: ALOT of bullies. 5th graders thinking they can bully people. Second of all, Dirty kids smelling like trash and they say that their mom has cleaned them. Also, kids are too lazy to flush toilets. That means the janitors are too lazy to clean. Also, my son has moved to a WAY better school. If Dr.Barrera was still here, there will be no bullying. I do not recommend to go to this school. Thank you.

TRIED TO GIVE IT 0 STARS BUT IT WON'T LET ME. HORRIBLE SCHOOL! WORST SCHOOL MY KIDS HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!!!! My son was beat up by multiple students there in front of a teacher and nothing was done when I went to go talk to the principal I was told I couldn't because I had to let the teacher know first and if the teacher didn't correct the problem then and only then could I speak to the principal. I even told them the teacher was there and witnessed it and still they said I had to talk to the teacher first. I pulled my kids out of there! Horrible staff and school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The principle is rude and uncaring. My grandaughter has been bullied since kindergarten...by a male hispanic studen who has bit her on the chest drawing blood, he scratched her behind an ear drawing blood...he has physically assaulted her on 3 separate occassions. Mr Barrera was made aware of the 1st instance of bullying by Bryan, Olivia was made aware of the following 2 instances...neither principle did anything to stop the "assaults". The teachers so far have sucked! Ms. Gutman needs to mind her own business, especially when she has no clue what is going on! Grandparents day luncheon was a hoot. I was told i couldn't bring "outside" food to eat, but i could leave my granddaughters "outside food" with her for lunch, but i was not allowed to eat with her. So, we both left. The school is ran by complete Morons.

I attended this school in fourth and fifth grade it was amazing I learned so much and I really loved it

New Principle is not a friendly or well organized one. We MISS DR. BARRERA. He was loving and meek and kind as well as reasonable. She is not! In my opinion: The BEST thing about the school are some of the teachers are awesome: Ms.Tillary, Ms Morgan,Mr.Vizmal, Mr.Cordero, Mrs. Williams, just to name a few of the great teachers there. Thank you for all the support you gave me and my children. The nurse is the best nurse I have ever met, caring and very attentive to each child. with that Motherly touch, I love you Mrs Harris you're the best. I will miss you the most of all.

I went to this school two years ago. Fifth grade was my last year and to be honest it was the worst experience ever. The new principal never did anything a lot of bullying kids pretending to be thugs and having fights, horrible 5th grade was a mess I never learned anything in that grade. I went on to 6th grade to Lanier middle school and because of my elementary there were many things I wasn't taught but I still overcame them. Dr.Barrera was the best but sadly he passed away I still remember when I heard that news.
