Our 7 yr old Weimaraner had a great time at his first day at Wagsworth! He has separation anxiety and struggles with being left home alone and not all daycares are for him. Some daycares we ve tried were too small of a space for him to be cooped up all day. So happy to have found the expansive space and friendly staff at Wagsworth Manor.

If you have a dog that is old and having a difficulty with adjusting to a new place and being away from you for a long time (like a week), this is not a place you can safely trust to care for your dog. No honesty and loving care per my experience.

Our dog Pupa, 10 years old, stayed there for one week during the Labor Day holiday. We called in the day after the holiday (4th day) to check in to see if he is eating okay and no issues. They said he s been eating well from day 1. No concerns to address.

When we picked him up last Saturday, he smelt so filthy. He had significant amount of leftover dry poop around his butt hole, and nobody cared to wipe him. Up to this point, it was just a minor dissatisfaction. But when we gave him a bath right after we got home, he couldn t stand up and was constantly crying as if he were in pain. He kept slipping off and looked like he lost his balance. He also looked so much more skinny that I could feel his bones. This makes me believe he was not eating properly and under a high level of stress. He even went crazy for dry food after he got home, which is unusual for him.

His symptoms got worse the next day, Sunday. He could not even get up and go out for his bathroom business. We made an appointment with our vet for the next day. So...we got back from the appointment just a while ago. He lost his weight about 2 pounds. He weighed only 12.8 lbs. If he truly had all his meals everyday as this place said, how could he lose over 2 pounds over just one week?! His back legs are weak (that s genetic), so we initially assumed that he may be experiencing the same symptoms again. But the vet could not find anything wrong with his legs or any other part of the body. So we had to do additional blood work and x-rays. Everything came out normal...
The vet consulted the network of other vets, but they could not identify the definite cause and classified this as very abnormal. As of this moment, he is still lost with his balance and can t even stand up with his front legs so that we just picked up the pee pad and diapers. They were suspecting potential nerve issues and suggested for MRIs. We decided to give a week with pain medication to see his progress, instead of putting him through another series of stressful procedures.

Why am I taking this time to write this review? This place gets a great review, the facility from outside looks very nice. That is one reason why we decided to have our dog care for a week while our family had to be away. It may work out okay for some dogs, but be cautious with their philosophy and trust system. The place who can t even speak the truth for such a small thing like eating food on a regular basis, I don t know how you can really trust your family, your pet, to be cared for an extended time. We asked the person to call us if he doesn t eat his dry food (since we knew he may have difficulty adjusting). They did not, and even when we called them, they said no issues. When he is in such a weak health condition, even a small pull from his resistance could be detrimental. And I don t know what went wrong. All
I hope is he can get back to his prior state as soon as possible. I m taking this time to write this review so that you don t make the same mistake I did with my dog.

I never have to feel bad leaving her there, she loves playing with other dogs, water play and her busy bone!!

We ve been using Wags for years and years our chow chow Leo absolutely loves it there. This past visit, we got a full groom with a lion cut for our boy, and as always, they did a spectacular job. Leo looks amazing and he was absolutely exhausted from his play day just the way we like him haha. Wagsworth manor is the gold standard for pet care in the area and we will continue to avail ourselves of their friendly, attentive, and skilled service.

Our dog loved swimming in their indoor pool. The staff was very accommodating. First I was late and then didn t remember the right vaccination records. Without any questions the staff help me sort out the situation, making sure our puppy had a good time. We will be returning!

Lots of love and individual attention from the staff helped my shy puppy to thrive in day care. He loves going to Wagsworth and running around with his friends . I am happy to have a place where Rocky can safely expel his puppy energy when we are away during the day. It s also nice to have a relaxed , tired pup to snuggle with at the end of the day!

This past week, my husband and I boarded our dog with Wagsworth Manor as we adjusted to bringing our infant daughter home. We were excited for the experience for her as we had heard nothing but great things. After picking her up yesterday, I was left heartbroken for our poor dog. I will never send her to this facility again.

We were told when we went to pick up Millie that a manager needed to speak with us. We were informed that Millie had just developed a cough while she was getting a bath. The manager made it seem like it wasn t much of anything. We took Millie home and she has full blown kennel cough. She received the bordetella vaccine and is up to date on all of her shots. Does this mean that there are dogs in the facility who are not vaccinated? We are taking Millie to the vet this afternoon. Not only did we pay close to $500 to board her for five days, we now have this added expense as well. Millie goes to daycare once a week - she will be unable to do that now as she recovers from the kennel cough that she picked up at Wags.

Additionally, Millie wears a Soresto collar. These collars are effective for 8 months and we most recently purchased one in January. When we got home yesterday, her Soresto collar was no longer on her. I m hoping that it was removed during bath time before pick up and that she wasn t left without her flea and tick preventative during her stay. To say that my blood is boiling would be an understatement. Please beware before boarding your dogs at this facility. From our experience, all I can see is negligence all around.

The staff is always very friendly, well mannered and show a genuine interest in the dogs as individuals and they make a point of remembering you. The facility is extremely clean and quite attractive. The added touches of report cards after a stay, drinks at "Stay & Play", and the various programs and events through out the year are delightful.

If you have a pit or pit mix I would not recommend this place at all. They will not allow your dog to play with the other dogs, and treat pit-looking dogs as if they are violent or dangerous to other dogs. While it is within their right to do so as a privately owned business, I personally cannot support anyone (especially someone who works with dogs) who perpetuates the false narrative that pit bulls are "bad dogs".

I started taking my two fur babies to Wagsworth a few month's ago. With the onset of COVID-19 I was wondering what the experience would be like with Doggie Day Camps and I had heard such great thing's about Wagsworth and decided to check them out. The recieving crew and the process were/are so professional and careful. You arrive, call the front desk and 2 team members come out with masks, leashes and cheery attitudes to bring the boys into playtime. The boys are already familiar with the journey and start barking with excitement about a 1/2 mile down the road. They seem to just love it and I love how content and calm they are upon pick up. I know they get a great run and socialize with many other dogs while they are there. I have scheduled them for baths following a day camp session on occassion too and they come back smelling great and feeling so soft! It's so great to know my boys are in such good hands, and being take care of while at Wagsworth and I feel I get great value for the price. They come home and pretty much sleep for a day and half which is perfect to also give me a break from my two very energetic pups!

Best Dog Daycare, Boarding, and grooming Period! My Dog Suri Loves going here. She needs special meds and food prep when boarding and they do a great job with it. Day Care Team, and Groomers are wonderful too.

Great place, wonderful caretakers, my dog is so happy to play with the other dogs. Boarding is a favorite, peace of mind experience for over 14yrs now--no worries, and can call in to check on my pup whatever I want to when on vaca.

They are definitely not consistent. I had my cat with them for the third time and i had two major issues: A $8 daily fee for "washing her bed" that didn't happen, it was for "just in case she had to be moved" which never happened, but i was still charged for. And i was very specific about her 3 times/day meal plan and when i picked her up a day earlier, late in the afternoon, her second meal was still there. So I don't know if the meal schedule was really followed, and i didn't get any feedback about her time there.

I boarded my 2 dogs Blaze a intact Wirehaired Pointing Griffon and Barney a neutered border collie mix back in July 2012. I received report cards that said every thing was great and both dogs were doing well loving the swimming I purchased as a activity for them as well as the one on one time I purchased as a activity.

Both dogs were boarded for 9 days in the same run and on the day I returned I decided to pick up that evening. I called the facility well in advance and said I would be picking up the dogs and that was fine with them. They said they would have the dogs ready to go. I picked up around 6:15pm Blaze was not acting like himself but I thought it was due to the comotion of another dog being there. His face was wet and when I asked about him being wet the person on duty said it must have been from him swimming that day. No problem so I drove the 45 minutes home.

That is when I found that my dog Blaze's TESTICALS WERE BURNT. It was after hours and I called and left a message I also followed up with a email and pictures date stamped so they could see it was from the evening of my return.

I received a call first thing in the morning and the person I spoke to was very apoligetic and said I would be receiving a call from the owner later that day. Dee called and also was very apoligetic and said she would take care of the vet bill and they did give me $300 off my boarding bill. I was still upset that my dog had suffered so much while at their facility but was satisfied at the speed and manor of how they handled the situation. I was told the name of the chemical they used to clean the runs because I suspected it might be the cause of these serious burns.

I looked up the MSDS of the chemical they use to clean the facility and it states it is Caustic and will cause burns if it makes contact with skin. Dee didn't seem to think it was the cleaner as she had never had anything like this happen before so that cleaner was still being used.

I think this report is necessary for those whose dogs are intact to make extra precaustions to be sure your dog is safe.

I was looking forward to taking my dog to Wagsworth Manor for the day since he loves to play with other dogs when I frequently take him to dog parks and other day care facilities. He's well socialized and has never shown any aggressive behavior towards another dog or cat.
While registering my pup at Wagsworth this morning I was told that he would be kept in a separate pen and not be permitted to play with the other dogs. The woman at the front desk said that he would spend time outdoors and would "enjoy" watching the other dogs.
When I asked why, I was told they have a policy of not allowing pit bulls to interact with other dogs. I walked out.
It's discriminatory policies like this that perpetuate the unfounded belief that pit bulls are a vicious breed. It simply is not true, and it saddens me to think that thousands of these wonderful dogs are being euthanized in shelters because of people's ignorance.
Shame on you, Wagsworth Manor.

This is a great place to have your pet boarded when need be. They have a nice facility, friendly staff.

This, however is not a cheaper boarding alternative...I paid about $280 for a four night stay.

So, if you're not tight on money, it's great. Otherwise, you might explore other options.

It is always a great day at Wagsworth. Simba is always happy to go there for a day or for a week or two. He gets excited the moment we pull into the parking lot. He seems to make friends with all the staff. No doubt it is the best place for our dog.

My husband and I have been loyal Wags customers for about 6 years now but until recently, did not need to take advantage of the training offered. We adopted a puppy in October (our other dog that attended wags was older) and realized right away that we needed to be proactive with training (anyone with a hound puppy can attest!) We decided that In-home sessions would be best since many of our concerns focused on the home; we were put in touch with Joy to begin scheduling.

My husband and I set up the training sessions to mirror 'puppy pre-school' in the home. At our first session, we weren't sure what to expect but Joy was very nice and extremely professional throughout the entire session. It was amazing to see our puppy learn right before our eyes! Throughout the 5 weeks of sessions, Joy really listened to any concerns, shared in our excitement when our puppy consistently obeyed and was very patient with us! My husband has never had a dog from puppy stage, so he was also a bit nervous that he may do something incorrectly, but Joy would assure and praise him (just like the puppy!) that he was doing a great job (he was).

After each session, Joy would give us homework (reminders for the different commands) and encouraged us to reach out if we had any questions or problems.

When we started training, our puppy was CRAZY when we would put the leash on her (very vocal, tugging at the leash, resisting the leash) and after showing Joy exactly what we deal with, she gave us great suggestions that we have been following and now we can put on the leash without it being a big scene! It may not sound like much to an outsider, but this was something that was a huge concern for us, so Joy was able to modify some of the course content to address specific concerns we had.

After this session, our puppy now knows the basic commands (sit, stay, down, etc) and we're still fine tuning others (heel & come [when outside]). I can say that our puppy has officially graduated puppy Pre-school! The in-home sessions really helped jump start our pro-activeness for training and open our eyes to realize that we cannot expect her to learn things overnight and that it takes both owner and dog to achieve the command.

We are looking to take the next course at Wagsworth but just have not decided when!

I completely trust wagsworth manor with my hyper and high energy lab. I have total confidence and peace of mind anytime I leave my dog for camp or boarding. The staff at Wagsworth are always accomodating and truly care about my cherished pup. We've been going to Wagsworth weekly for over a year and we've always had a positive experience.

I left my sweet girl (8yo German Shepherd) here for 2 weeks even though shes never been anywhere and it seems like she had a great time. I was able to call and they gave me a full rundown on her friends, activities she did and everything so that was nice.

It is a bit pricey. Every little thing was extra. For example, Id feel better if I could have left her dog bed with her so she had something familiar but it would have added $8 a day soo $132 for the whole trip for it. Couldn't justify it.

Also there's no long-term discount which is kind of a bummer.

But all in all, high quality place and everything was great.

I have been boarding my dogs here for years. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The facility seems to be state of the art. The availability is very good except, as one would expect, around the major holidays. The place isn t cheap, but it is worth the investment for a member of the family!!!

It would have been nice to know that they do not accept Pit Bulls for Group Play Day Care. I submitted my forms a week before bringing my dog and even had to get an extra vaccination before attending. I wish I hadn't wasted my time and money at this place. I was told it was for insurance reasons - you would think they make plenty of money for a better insurance policy. SHAME ON YOU WAGSWORTH!!!

I was a happy Wagsworth customer for a year, but with the new "bully breed" policy in place for play groups, I am no longer a customer. It is unfortunate and disappointing that such a respected pet service provider would stoop to this level of backwards thought. I can appreciate the concern for the staff and clients' safety, but placing restrictions on an entire group of dogs AND their owners (I hope English bulldogs, French bulldogs, boxers, bull terriers, bullmastiffs, etc. are looped into this group as they are also under the "bully breed" umbrella) is NOT the way to establish a safer environment. How do you promote a safer environment? Look at the incident - dogs seldom attack unprovoked and will display warning signals that can easily be missed by the average human eye. Wagsworth's dog-to-human ratio was likely so high that their supposedly highly-trained staff members couldn't pick up on the dog's body posturing, calming signals, and other warning signs. The dogs are not at fault here and yet Wagsworth has decided to punish them instead of looking at their own mistakes.

This was our first time at Wagsworth Manor for grooming and play day for my labradoodle. He is so refreshed after a very long time with no grooming (thank you quarantine!). He was happy, beautifully groomed and exhausted after a fun day. The staff was so professional and made curbside drop off and pick up seamless. We ll definitely be back!

Things have really gone downhill. I've been sending my pets there for over 10 years and will no longer continue to do so. Unorganized, dishonest and EXTREMELY overpriced. I no longer feel comfortable putting my dog in their hands. I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

Wagsworth Manor is the best! They really know my dog and he enjoys his stay every time! He walks down the hall and people know him by name and greet him; when we ask for updates while on vacation they give us thorough information and make us feel so secure that he is being taken care of and actually loved while we are away! It was easy to build a rapport with the staff at Wagsworth. I was very nervous taking my dog there for the first time, as he is very protective of me and can be aggressive towards others. Wagsworth always answers all of my questions and calms my worries when needing to board my dog for long periods of time. I know my dog enjoys going and engaging in group play! He always comes home with his tail wagging! We also love the report cards and now the email updates!

We took our dog to Wagsworth to get groomed and I cannot say enough positive things about the experience. I am absolutely mindblown by how much care they took with her! Our husky was perfectly trimmed and manicured and looks like she could walk right into a show ring. I have no idea what we were paying for at other establishments because Wagsworth goes above and beyond. We'll be taking our dogs here for grooming for years to come, no question. Highly recommend!

This is the only place we have ever left our dog. From the time he was 9 months to now at 10 years, he has always received excellent care and a chance to play and have fun. When he has had meds to take, they have been most accommodating. He comes home happy, fresh and clean. He usually plops right in bed - he s tired from all his activities. We are secure knowing he is in competent, caring hands and never worry when we travel. When I first started looking for a place to board him, I showed up unannounced at Wags and asked if they would show me around. They did not hesitate and did not leave any area out of the tour. After that, there never was a question. It is the only place I will leave my dog..

I was nervous about leaving my cat because he s a bit finicky. But he was fine. He was well cared for. He had a chance to be in the cat room, so he was not in the cat suite the whole time. They were accommodating about letting him use his usual litter, which was helpful in keeping him to his routine. It is a bit pricey, but the facilities are well kept and clean. It gave me peace of mind while we were away.

This facility does not have a human caregiver on site during the overnight hours!!!! I took my dog there last weekend. I got a message on my cell that her ear had been punctured. I got this message around 10PM. I called the facility because I was concerned, no one answered the phone. It wasn't until 8:30 the following morning that I got a call about my dog's ear. I questioned the person who called me, "Isn't there someone in the facility overnight?" No, was what I was told, she lives close by. Lives close by? For the money this place charges ($170 for two nights) there should be a human being on the premises AT ALL TIMES! I just assumed that there would be a caregiver during the evening hours. I assumed wrong...I'll never take my dog there again.

Left my dog at Wagworth for 2 nights while we were away and she came back with fleas crawling all over her(she has a flea collar too) Still struggling to get them off of her after 3 flea baths. Also my dog came home extremely dehydrated and lethargic. She also has a very strict diet and gets bad ear infections if she doesn t eat her proper food. She came back with a double ear infection, makes me wonder if they even gave her the food I left for her. Not a positive experience with wag worth manor at all.

I would sum up Wagsworth Manor in 3 words... Disneyland for dogs! Peppina has been a loyal visitor/customer for 6 and a half years, since she was old enough to attend day camp. Peppina attends day camp 2-3 times a week, is groomed by Beth once a month and occasionally boards there as well.

I'd have to say that I'm quite surprised at some of these negative reviews, and all I can say is that there's 3 sides to every story and unfortunately, "whole" truths are not always being told. When caring for hundreds of dogs a day, Wagsworth does their best to ensure the safety of all their dogs. It's unfortunate that some of your dogs developed Kennel cough, and Wagsworth notifies ALL customers as soon as they become aware. This could happen at any dog daycare, not just Wagsworth. But in comparison to children who go to daycare and another child is sick, your child may come home with a cold. As an adult, even though you get a flu shot, you can still get the flu.

When we drop Peppina off in the morning, she can hardly wait to run in the back to see all her friends. She could care less about saying goodbye to me or my husband. When we pick her up at the end of the day, she's happy to see us, then zonks out in the car for the ride home. Exhausted from a fun day at Wagsworth. Thank you Wagsworth for being a great place that Peppina loves and for always spoiling her. Peppina gives 5 paws :)

My rescue, Jaxon, had his first stay at Wags just last week. He did well and was evaluated for group play-time while there. I received a comprehensive report card, and sweet comments from his handlers. I look forward to touring the lush accomodations and facility after COVID-19 restrictions are finally over. Thanks for looking after my boy!

At first, I did not have such a great experience, ...

At first, I did not have such a great experience, but Chelsea called me back to explain and rectify the situation. My mom takes her pup there and we were attempting to take our pup there for boarding, and the first experience wasn't the greatest from a customer service standpoint, I did not see any negligence towards the pups but the way miscommunicated situation was handled was not to my satisfaction. After Chelsea called me to rectify this not so great situation, I felt much better about trying Wags again. For her to take time out of her day to call me back and accommodate us was huge! I found out that she called my mom to get my best contact information to reach out to me because she heard I was very upset! So to say the least, she tracked me down to make it right! With that said, any company that prides themselves in this level of customer service is alright by me. So for anyone who may not have had a great first impression, I think it is worth giving them a second chance because they will do what it takes to make not only you but your pups happy and comfortable! Also, they are family owned and operated, so why wouldn't you want to take your pups to a local place?

I left our dog here for the first time last weekend. I was very happy with the service he received over those 3 days and recommend that you go see for yourself what this place is like. We toured it first and that was very reassuring.
