I very much liked the look of this building. The shop was also an upgraded version of the usual National Trust shop. Good car parking and bus journey to the end of the main driveway. It certainly was very popular.

We are local to Waddesdon Manor and have been many times in the past however, we've only been to the Christmas market once, in the morning and have never been in the house at this time of year. We were not disappointed! As you can see from the photos, the attention to detail, inside and out was spectacular. A visit whilst it's dark is an absolute must to get the full effect of the fantastic outdoor light trails! The Christmas market was much bigger than our previous visit and while prices are A little raised, they are no more so than any other festive market.

We went to the chilli fest held in the grounds, enjoyed a couple of hours wandering around and had some lunch from one of the food vendors.
Have been to the Manor house before and will probably go back again as it's an interesting place to look around the furnishings and style of the house are quite spectacular and mostly bespoke. It must have been a massive display of decadence when it was first built.

Fantastic experience exploring the manor house of the Rothschild family. A vast amount of land to walk around and enjoy. The house is great to visit although you do need to book a ticket in advance even if a National Trust member. The aviary is especially worth a visit.

Spent a warm, sunny afternoon at Waddesdon Manor.

Went by car as public transport a bit limited. Am a national trust member so free entry.

Well organised car park is about a km from the house but shuttle buses run up to the house and stables.

As it was a lovely day I walked, following the pedestrian footpath. It is a lovely walk although up a hill at the end.

I didn't go in the house (you have to book a timed entry if you want to do that). Instead I went round the gardens and aviery.

It is an amazing French-style chateau plonked into the Chiltern hills. There is a restaurant and cafe in the stables; these are close to the house but down a steep hill. There is a sloping path with steps which is not bad but if you are unable to manage this, the shuttle bus goes past every few minutes.

There are benches around the gardens and parterre. The aviery is very ornate but has some interesting birds.

The gardens looked amazing and being on a hill, there are some gorgeous vistas. There is a gift shop and a good wine shop if you want something to remember your visit.

Fantastic house with extensive grounds. The art and furniture in the house is seriously impressive with an amazing collection. The grounds are extensive and provide really good walks in picturesque grounds. The formal gardens are ok but not as spectacular as the house itself. Entrance is rather expensive for what is on offer. Really good for a first visit, but I wouldn't pay for it again in the near future at that price.

Christmas at Waddesdon manor is one not to miss.
All the trees near the house are lit up. Some to music as well. There is a light trail to follow which is very good for all ages.
The manor house has Xmas trees in every room. These are spectacular.

This was our second visit to Waddesdon Manor. Previously we visited in December a few years ago and we enjoyed the Christmas market. Now, in the spring, the gardens are a riot of colour with all the flowers in bloom. We also discovered the More

A true National Trust treasure. This estate and manor is one of the best, created by one of the founding bank families of Europe. The beautiful grounds, gardens, playground and shuttle to the old stable (now cafe) are stunning. The house tour is great, (best to book early as gets really busy), amazing to see what can be done with infinite funding. Great day out for all the family. Will be going back soon.

An awesome house with lots to see and "take in". Beautiful setting and really good history information. Recommended and I'll definitely be returning as haven't seen it all. Lots to do for the children.

[Apr 2019] Beautiful house with lovely gardens which look amazing in spring. Exterior and interior of house are opulent to the extreme. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff as always with the NT. As always an excellent NT property that could only be improved by the banning of children.

Well maintained and lots of walks in the grounds with good views. Still wet and muddy on the surrounding public footpaths, but warm coffee, tea and cakes from a few pop up sites on site and from outside the pub in the village

This is a nice place for the family. It can be a little pricey but if you're a National Trust member, this slashed the cost.

Lovely place for a day out and Christmas is always beautiful. Amazing lights and activities for the kids. The staff are all very friendly and I think you'll enjoy it.

There's lots of history here and worth a visit.

We've never visited the House before although we have visited the grounds several times in the past....what an amazing treasure trove of a house! You could and probably should visit many times to take in all the amazing 'things' that form the Rothschild Collection.... heartily recommended for a rainy day visit or indeed any day visit!

Overall, a good place to visit. Nothing really negative about the place at all. Car park is free but it often gets filled up so alternatively park in the village and walk about 10 minutes in. Decent signage, enough to see for all members of family. . Maybe not somewhere to go repeatedly as there's not really enough to continously see each time but does special occasions like Christmas lights well. House not really great for kids but there is a good wooden play area and trail is great.

We had a wonderful day at the Summer Fest, enjoyed all the street performers and music. Just one point, when listening to the live music at station '9'. The young girl performing was 'drowned out' by the passing marching band who then stopped to perform very close by. Perhaps a mistake with timings?? The young girl did very well to continue her session.

Visited for the Christmas market and lights. The market consists of about 80 stalls in wooden cabins around the perimeter of the front lawns. Good variety of seasonal gifts available along with plenty if free samples. Once dusk falls, the illuminated manor facade and tree walk offer a wonderful experience for all ages - you can't fail to take away a little of the Christmas spirit with you when you leave.

Beautiful grounds to walk around with paths that make it easy for a pushchair. Different events through the year to make the walk around the grounds more interesting for little people as well!
The stables offer a lovely space to stop and have a snack (ice cream) and the play areas offer something for children of various ages.
We haven't made it into the house yet and have been several times.

Beautiful, green and amazing manor. One of the most exquisite palaces on the inside with one of the biggest and taken care of gardens. Perfect for picnics, spending time with sheep, walking or lying on the grass :)

Enjoyed the chilli festival but again let down buy the parking organisation, wanted a 'blue badge' bay but was told they were all taken so parked in a overflow car park in a field which made accessibility a struggle to start our visit also told the child/ parent parking bays were full so our son/ wife and 11 week old grandson were also parked in the same field,I'm not expecting special treatment but to walk past the designated bays and to find at least 50%empty made this a real disappointing ordeal, this being my second 'bad parking experience' otherwise the rest of the day was great.

Big house with lots of stuff. Especially liked the twee paintings by a chap called Joshua Reynolds... more of them than you can wave a paintbrush at. Actually, Hilliard's Liz 1 is rather good and worth vising for that alone
