Nice place easy parking bus to house. Spectacular house and grounds. Christmas Market interesting and not so busy on a weekday
My wife and I had a beautiful time here, when you get there you can walk to the Manor (15 minutes) or get the bus (free), the Manor itself was beautiful to see and has big grounds to walk around, the inside was amazing. Has a large cafeteria and sculptures around the grounds, great for family s.
A stunning location, especially for the Christmas Market. Extremely busy but so well organised. The volunteer guides are extremely well briefed and cheerful even when you over eagerly infringe the exhibitions
Was actually taken aback by the sheer beauty of the architecture and the grounds. Great high end restaurant as well. Fantastic family day out.
Lovely place... A great day out.. Lovely grounds and keep an eye out for their special events... The house and interior are amazing
Brilliant place. The house was dressed really well with good trail for children. Very good Christmas market and lots of walking and playing
Great for oldies and youngsters plenty for all to see and do.
Great food festival event plenty to do and even better eat.
Brilliant over the top house, excellent restaurant. Garden and grounds great.
This is an amazing manor, stunning gardens but also very beautiful inside. It's best to book tickets in advance on their website though (house visit)
I loved it! Very photogenic! The paths through the trees were very peaceful, there were a lot of water features and the garden was in full bloom! The house itself was fantastic to wander around and the information sheets for each room highlighted some interesting furniture! Plus, I appreciated the option of the shuttle bus from the car park but it's a pleasant 10 minute walk, especially in the sun
Interesting house gardens lovely expensive if you are not a national trust member
Staff were amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. All the staff were chatting to our kids and treated them like they were interested. The day was a washout thanks to the British weather but we still enjoyed our day. And very reasonably priced.
Well worth a visit. Restaurant excellent and reasonable prices
Fantastic manor , very interesting with plenty to see and do and a great cafe
Beautiful surroundings for a Christmas market. Must do the lights walk..so pretty
Loved it walked for ages but so lovely with all the lights and decorations from local schools. The house was amazing all the hard work which went into the Christmas Trees was amazing. Recommend going.
This is amazing , I can go again and again there. Must visit place.
Went to the Christmas Market and the lights with the kids, we all loved it!
The best National Trust place I've been to. Worth a visit but remember to book in advance
It has a bird cage with tropical birds a major house and beautiful gardens
You have to book the manor tour in advance though.
Great light show and Christmas market. Even the rain failed to dampen our enjoyment.
Fabulous day out at Waddesdon manor. The decorations inside the house and in the gardens were exceptional. Everything was extremely well organised and despite it being a busy day, it was possible to access toilets and food without problem.
Highly recommended.
Superb, if a tad expensive. We went for Feast which was a great market
A tranquil place to visit. Magnificent house & grounds.
The Manor and its festive atmosphere was fabulous. Thoroughly recommend it for all the family.
The only very disappointing fact was that the food stalls were selling Christmas produce cakes and puddings in particular made in AUSTRALIA!!! A bit of a con as I really thought it was local produce. I do not think that The National Trust should be supporting such a carbon footprint.
Grounds and buildings and beautiful. Feel refreshments are way overpriced and costly entrance fees.
Magical! Came for the illuminations and light show, fabulous evening!
Wonderful outdoor illuminations and magnificent Christmas decorations inside the house. Staff and volunteers very helpful.
Had a great day at the Christmas Fayre shame it was very wet but plenty of places to eat drink & get out from the rain. Will go back another day in the summer of 2019 & also the Christmas Fayre
Beautiful manor with gardens around.
Absolutely amazing.
Must be seen.
Nice to see it again when it was less crowded than when we went at Christmas.
Loved this place, what superb architecture, the rooms are exquisitely decorated.
Been here many times. Love to walk the grounds and have lunch. House is very grand
Visited on 18th November - Waddesdon is now a much better location for family visits, The new woodland play area is excellent (the slide is "fast") as my three boys zoomed off the end.....
The Narnia Winter Wonderland was excellent as was the "Reindeer Trail".
My only gripe is the pompous officious "National Trust" attitude that you so often get at these types of places. We wished to sit outside and have a cup of coffee "NOT allowed" was the response from the manageress - "NOT until lunchtime, do not take a cup outside - we DONT offer takeway cups etc.." - crikey - with 3 boys you'd have thought they were glad we're outside!.
Then there is the overt commercialisation in that a 10% "service charge" is added to every bill in the Stables Cafe and that you have to go through the gift shop to get into the main resturant etc..I'm sure there must be a better way to get visitors to willing part from their cash.
What a lovely place, the kids loved the gardens and the playground, house interior fabulous and there are some exceptionally good wines for sale in the shop that you can't buy elsewhere, grab a few bottles as they are very good value for money.
Amazing house and gardens that are definitely worth a visit.
Visit Waddesdon Manor regularly, as its one of my favourite National Trust sites. Definitely worth visiting.
Lovely walks. Shame the flowers were lacking due to Covid, but nice to see the aviary open. Easy to social distance, even on the bus. All very well organized.
Beautiful site. Christmas market a bit over crowded. Had to walk about a mile from car park to manor. Go early.
One of our favourite NT properties with something for everyone. The house is absolutely outstanding and each new season there is something different to see. The grounds and garden are worth seeing on there own even at this time of year when the house is closed. Next month the free artisan market starts again in the car park and is well worth a visit.
A beautiful and well kept building, giving a fascinating look into the extravagant lifestyle of the Rothschild's, which sits in beautiful and well kept land, filled with many fine treasures.
A highlight for me was the Silver Caeser exhibition, which was staffed by an incredibly friendly and very informative young lady. Intricate and beautiful, it was well set out and had lots of fascinating information.
The Christmas lights were absolutely stunning and our kids loved wandering about the grounds.
After hearing about Waddesdon Manor from the National Trust magazine, we decided to book a christmas tour of the house, and markets; so glad we did! We had an amazing day out.
Parking was well planned, easy, and accessible.
Short walk to the manor and gardens (1 mile) or onsite shuttle bus.
Stunning beautiful christmas layout of the manor, its rooms filled with christmas trees, and decorations; the bell tunnel/hallway was very cute.
The christmas market is great, perhaps more seating areas for food would have been ideal, and queue control for the popular food huts.
We'll be back again to explore the manor and the gardens, minus the crowds.
Free to national trust members, including parking and shuttle bus. Various places for refreshment. Beautiful grounds and house. Limited toilet facilities on this occasion due to water supply issues but still a lovely place to spend the day and excellent bag check / information point. Was very impresses with the woodland play area and play equipment to loan.
A lovely place to visit, beautiful scenery + a xmas market, festive.
Lovely lights had stalls around for Christmas i enjoyed the trails very lovely for spending time with family and friends.
Amazing interior, art collection and gardens. Make sure you come early enough ...
Classic garden and house. Always popular with families
Wonderful place to attend with family, so much to do and see! Highly recommend a visit
Lots to see!!!! Extremely clean and well managed. I went inside the castle and it was absolutely spectacular. The staff were willing to answer any questions and were very positive and jokey.
Vast grounds and luxurious buildings
There is a shuttle bus from the parking lot
very convenient
I also had a picnic in the garden and was able to spend it slowly and elegantly
The building was very luxurious and the interior decoration of each room was various and I was tired of seeing it
It s a nice place to visit again
Good day out, limited meals, great playground for kids
Went here for all the Christmas light or was beautiful
I went with three girlfriends here on 2nd Jan we had an amazing day. There is plenty to see and do the Christmas lights were still being shown. But we shall return in the summer to see the gardens cant wait. The house is stunning too.
