Let s just say nice overly price The rooms are small the bar tending service were rude they put u in a category before you already get there based off of your name. Friday Dec 6 I arrived there, their were a party going on in lounge where u had young college students going crazy on dance floor, for only to have older man harassing the young girls, was really Disturbing to watch the older man take advantage of these young girls. So I guess it s okay, because their were Security there? No get it all together.

I have traveled quite a bit for work but I must say this was probably the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff made us feel very welcome, with friendly smiles and plenty of eye contact. There is a museum on site so that you can learn about the history of this iconic building. Be sure to check out the observation deck for a wonderful view of the city.

Swanky vibe - didn't know it turned into a straight up club on the weekends. Corner rooms were loud - could hear the elevator and guests at all hours of the night. WiFi isn't free. Rooms were a bit dated, as furniture had scratches and chips on them. Downstairs restroom near the lobby / steakhouse is a complete mess. At night, there are homeless folks sleeping in the hall / booths and when I used the restroom, 2 out 3 were clogged. Welcoming staff and great Starwood service.

I stay at this hotel every once in a while when I'm in town for business. The atmosphere is great if you enjoy a very hip, swanky atmosphere. It's not personally my thing, but my colleagues love it. It's central location is great for getting anywhere you need to be downtown and the rooms are small but very nice. The Nesspresso machines in every room are a great touch too.

The W is located centrally in downtown Minneapolis. It has a couple of bars and restaurants located in the hotel. It has a retro feel to it, as it is an older building that has been renovated. It has quirky lights, big showers, and it is a nice room overall.

Outstanding choice for downtown. We spent 10 nights during daughter's convention. Nice rooms and good service by staff. Skip the breakfast option rate and catch breakfast at The Keys at Foshay. A much better breakfast at a savings.

My wife and I stayed here while attending the Timberwolves game. The atmosphere is really unique and the prohibition bar is great as well. Great views of the city as well as variety of services and room service options. The only reason for a 4 star rating is that the prices were a bit higher than I would have expected from a downtown hotel. All in all a pretty good experience and I would recommend this to friends.

We don t usually stay at fancy hotels, and I can t say this experience has made us want to ever again. You have to pay for WiFi here which is ridiculous with how much it costs a night, the rooms are tiny, and the overall atmosphere is really uncomfortable if you don t fit into the fancy business look of the rest of the people. Overnight parking across the street isn t too expensive but valet is CRAZY pricey. You also get charged an unexpected extra $100 at check in for incidents that you don t get back until 10-15 business days after you check out. There s a fridge full of food and you re charged for every item so there s no fridge in the room to use. There are bottles of water all around the room that are $5 a pop. It s a pretty hotel and the beds are comfortable, but we won t be returning.

I made my reservation and PAID for my room 3 weeks ago. I am supposed to be there for a business convention in 24hrs, and they call and tell me they are OVERBOOKED? I have 1 day to find another hotel downtown during a convention? Are you friggin kidding me?????

Rooms are reasonably priced. We asked for a higher floor as to have a nice view and they put us on the 4th floor... Not a nice view. They double charged us for the room and it took them like 7 days to refund us. Quite the hassle.

We recently attended a Corporate meeting at the W Forshay and our group was served extremely well. Our meals were great, the rooms were awesome and the service was impeccable. I left a unique phone charger in my room at check out and didn't realize it until a week later. When I called inquiring about it, not only did they have it but they sent it out FedEx at no charge. I couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations or the service of the staff.

Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Great views of the city from our 17th floor room. We had booked a corner room but we needed to check in early and none were available so we were given a non-corner room instead. A little disappointing but totally reasonable and I appreciate the flexibility, service was great overall.

It was surprising to see wifi requiring payment but after calling the front desk they didn't add the charge, not sure if this would've been the case without calling.

Room outdated. Carpet stained. Walls paper thin. We were up from 2am - 3am because of drunk people yelling somewhere in the hotel. We called the front desk, and they said they'd send security, but they didn't handle it.

The W Foshay is a lovely hotel. We are staying in a "fantastic" king suite. Very spacious living area, separate bedroom, and huge bathroom, including a nice soaking tub with a city view, and a separate rain shower. Very nice Body Bliss amenities. My only negative feedback is towards the bed. Definitely not a Heavenly bed! The location is perfect. Lots of shopping and restaurants all around. Also near light rail stops. Perfect!

The price is alright, but not excellent. There's no pool, which is a bummer. But the rooms are pretty snazzy. The bar at the top of the tower is a bit cramped. The main thing I didn't like is that in our room, they had a display of a mini bar and amenities which took up a lot of space, and it was all very expensive. Like, we're talking eleven dollars for a bag of cashews. And they just leave this whole spread of overpriced stuff out in an attempt to entice you to buy stuff, but it just looks cluttered and wastes space.

Impressive in many ways, but also substandard in many others. Very expensive and Wi-Fi, water and about everything else is charged, and not cheaply. No breakfast of any kind included. No Jacuzzi.

Your room will have coffee and everything else is a sales display.

Room service are nice people who totally ignore a do-not-disturb sign. They give 2 quick taps with the key in hand and they open right then without waiting for an answer. Lock the door.

The internal design is innovative, nice, comfortable and modern. Some of the fixtures are cheap and unreliable, such as a night stand light switch. View is great, but better to stay at a chain nearby. Not a value.

This a great hotel, rooms are big and clean, the staff is very friendly, from the front desk, housekeeping and even valet. I do wish the lighting in the rooms was a bit better, but that's a small ding for such a great hotel.

This W use to be an office building. The Prohibition bar on the 27th floor is the place to go for a drink. They make a serious Sidecar. Manny's Steakhouse is top notch. Top 5 steakhouse I have ever been too. The best lobster cake I have ever had.

The place itself is gorgeous...but no amenities!! $5 for a bottle of water is too much, man. Again - beautiful rooms, wonderful location, great staff... waaaaaay too expensive to not even have free coffee.

Great hotel,, the first time I stayed here we had an issue with the room we were in. Went down to the desk and spoke with the manager, ended up in one of the penthouse suites. Excellent customer service.

My wife and I have stayed at this location a handf...

My wife and I have stayed at this location a handful of times over the years, however this was the first time we've stayed since Marriot Bonvoy has taken over for Starwood. Although the wait staff is amazing, the quality of the rooms have taken a step back. The bed was extremely firm and the bedding was industrial. The toilet had a slow leak so in the morning there was a small puddle in the bathroom. The showerheads used to be large rainfall heads that were amazing, but have been swapped out for 8 inch round heads that are what you could expect at Courtyard or something.

We did stay during the Covid modifications so I know that some of this is not the fault of the hotel management or staff but if you plan on staying here during this time frame you should probably know some of the changes. The bars, Prohibition and and the Lounge are closed. The ice machines are turned off. The mini bar is empty. They do attempt to make up for it by giving you a complimentary cocktail kit at check in but unless you like your vodka tonic warm, it's a miss. We combatted that by walking over to Haskell's which is a half block away and purchased cocktail stuff and a bag of ice. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Just stopped in for the observation deck, absolutely beautiful with some amazing views. Good amount of history if you're interested in that, but I definitely would recommend going at least once.

Pros: Great view and location, nice shower, housekeeping was good. We got a great deal on our room by booking through a third party well in advance.

Cons: Staff appears to be untrained (e.g. Had to ask a bouncer at the downstairs club to help me find an attendant upon arrival; front desk said they couldn t help merge our consecutive bookings because we booked through a third party agency), amenities are priced for party people making intoxicated decisions, there was a party next door and an argument on NYE in the hallway.

Advice: Although this hotel caters to party people, it would be nice if the staff didn t act like snobby ultra-lounge staff. The view was great but not worth the unpleasantries. I learned my lesson.
