Quality isn't great, i.e, the decor is dated, especially the elevator, enjoy freaking out as it wobbles all over the place. The staff though is outstanding! Location is also eh... Not knowing the area I didn't understand the difference between midtown and downtown, you want the latter.

Was really excited to get a room here for my daughters birthday party. Called in advance and was given an upgrade. Upon arriving with the children was told the room was unavailable. As I went online to check on other options the same room showed available but for a higher price. I felt it was bad business for such a supposed family friendly hotel. Needless to say we had to take the children elsewhere.

The music, atmosphere, servers and layout was very appealing and had a chic decorum and presence.
I enjoyed how you felt close to others but it provides small group privacy.
Large selection of drinks and tenders had a good outlook in providing quality service and drink products.
I had no food but I was interested in returning as I viewed the plate presentations and selections looked very appealing.
Valet was efficient and felt professional and at 10.00 an hour it had a tag. I felt it worthy of the place and gratifying to pay due to parking difficulty in the ATL area.

I've stayed in Atlanta quite a bit over the last few years, sometimes for months at a time. I've stayed away from this hotel due to the fairly low reviews, but decided to give it a shot for a one-night stay. I'm glad I did since it turned out much better than the reviews mentioned.

Midtown Atlanta is fairly hopping - there are a number of great restaurants and bars nearby as well as being fairly close to downtown Atlanta and the number of attractions there. Walking in, it's your standard W feel - dark, semi-clubby, and definitely not your average hotel. I arrived on a Sunday night and there was a decent amount of people in the lobby bar late at night. The check-in process was smooth, I met the friendliest front desk staff I've ever seen and she gave me a great run-down of the property as well as ensured I got a great room.

I got a suite on a fairly high floor with a great view of Atlanta. The elevator up was also nice if you get the outward facing glass-walled one. The room itself was spacious and well appointed but again dark per the standard W feel. It is fairly worn, but not uncomfortably so. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very spacious as well. W always has great bliss bath products and that's something I always look froward to.

The gym is in the basement and has plenty of exercise machines. They're not the most updated but will get the job done (I still like the W Atlanta downtown for gym equipment). There also seemed to be a nice restaurant at the W but didn't get a chance to try it.

Just ok. Elevators are slooooow. Rooms are set up like a convenience stores. Don't you dare touch anything! They will charge an outrageous price for all their temptations. Much need of improvements and updating. Dull dark and disorderly.

An excellent staff combine with posh decor and a fantastic location to make an overall great hotel. The only downsides I found were that it has a nightclub in it (so it's kinda loud at night), the rooms aren't quite soundproofed enough (street noise and noise from the hallways), the room had some wear and tear (the cabinetry doors and drawers didn't fully line up) and the shower didn't have hot water the morning that I left.

Friendly reception. Spacious room, but it smelled of smoke. There are several things that have been changed (I assume because of coronavirus) that should be shared up front before booking. There is no duvet on the bed, just sheets and an empty duvet cover, and no blankets in the room. The normally well stocked mini bar is no longer and only room service is available. There was no mention of these changes during booking or check in, nor was there any other mention of cleaning procedures underway to slow the spread of the virus - which I expected to hear, but it was not mentioned at all. Disappointing experience for a W hotel.

We threw a small birthday party here in the lounge. The environment was cool. DJ was ok, some of the mixes were a little weird, but everyone had fun and the floor was popping. Service was decent given how busy they were. Very accommodating. Food was good, small plates appropriate for the venue.

As a wedding planner serving the East Coast, I highly recommend this hotel! Its GORGEOUS - including the lobby and shared spaces, ballroom, prefunction areas and the guest rooms. I also ordered room service while on site and it came in a timely fashion and was great. Its definitely a great space for both a bridal suite and ballroom for a wedding. The venue was also flexible and allowed very long loadin and setup times which allowed the vendors to setup really elaborate decor. There are countless places to take photos in this hotel as well. It comes highly recommended!

A lot of construction currently going on. Rooms are nice and well kept however no coffee maker. The Platinum breakfast is great with a superb waitstaff in the restaurant. The gym is in the basement and has lots of machines and options however the cardio equipment is very outdated. Overall, I would stay here again however minor improvements would be appreciated.

We ve stayed at various other W Hotels and were always very happy, however this hotel should not be open during such a major renovation. We literally had to go through construction zone to get to the elevator to reach lobby on a third floor in a elevator hole way. Hummer jack noice coming from above and below floors. Rooms are decent but getting to them felt like a war zone. I m wondering how they still advertise as 4 star hotel?

It's an excellent upscale hotel that has two restaurants and two bars in it on different floors within it. The service was prompt and excellent. The rooms and the hotel itself is clean and well kept. It's in an excellent location that's convenient to everything.

The hotel itself was very modern, including a restaurant/bar, pool, breakfast bar, free valet parking only, and tasteful decoration. The card locks on the rooms are touch, so no more mag strip error hassle. The higher floors (I was on 22) have a great view of the city.

The room was just as decorative and upkept as the rest of the building. Everything was just as you would expect it to be at home. Clean, all essentials, and comfortable.

The fridge in the room was more than accommodating, filled to the brim with water, juice, coffee, OH WAIT! Beer, wine, vodka, tequila, gin, rum, and all of the accomodating mixters. Not to mention a full snack bar. These will all cost you a small fee of course.

Everything aside, it was a great stay, and I would recommend to anyone in the area.

Avoid this place for the moment at all costs. When I booked it (at $450 a night) they neglected to mention they were under construction. Construction that runs from 7:00AM until almost midnight. The lobby is a war zone. I rented a suite; no coffee maker to be found. No iron or ironing board. Two hours and multiple phone calls to get a pot of coffee. No housekeeping in the three days I stayed there. The bathroom had an industrial commode that sounded like a bomb going off every time you flushed it and best of all, the shower had a glass wall that looked right into the bedroom so whomever was in the bedroom could see you showering or using the toilet. The shower flooded the bathroom floor when used. I had to buy my own batteries for the TV remote because repeated phone calls for those went unheeded. Finally, the heat/AC did not work in the living room. Worst hotel experience ever.

The room was quiet and spacious. The electronic shades provided nice privacy. Small fixture things to be fixed are the particle board coffee table is chipping and the closet door had to be slammed shut to turn off the closet light. Critics might say the bathroom is a little cramped, but it was spacious for us.

Went here for NYE. Pleasant experience, but not mind blowing. Everything was well arranged and taken care of. Music could have been better, drinks could have been better - but nothing was explicitly wrong.

Hello,

Hello,
I am submitting this because I am floored at the way I have been treated throughout making a business reservation for my boss and coworker. It took 4 phone calls, a total of 45 minutes on the phone, an entire week, and 5 emails to get my problem resolved. Alongside of all of this was the attitude I got with EVERY phone call I had to make. I was pushed around from guest services, to the front desk, to billing multiple times each call. NO ONE would help me and no one knew who to let me talk to. The reservations I made online somehow went wrong. I reserved two rooms for two people. I got the confirmation email stating the estimated price and thought everything was fine. I had to extend their stay and that was when trouble ensued. I had one woman get nasty with me because I stated the reservation was under the name Stanley. She called me Mrs. Stanley and I said no sorry my last name is Munson the reservation is under Stanley. She in a nasty tone said I asked for YOUR name NOT the reservation name. She could have just left it alone but from my experience your hotel takes pride in degrading people and attempting to make them feel stupid. I am floored with the terrible customer service you have. I would be embarrassed to work with a company like you again. From this point on I will NOT be making any reservations with the W in Atlanta. Your staff has made me feel like every phone call and email contact was an inconvenience and not worth their time. I will leave you with this, I as a paying customer and paying a hotel to stay there as a home away from home. I am not paying however to be insulted and made to feel inadequate while away from home. I will be posting this elsewhere so others know how you treat customers spending their hard earned money to stay at your hotel.

Ultimately, I was trying to get an estimated bill for each reservation after I added an extra day to the stay. After all of this I received one estimated bill for one room and had asked for both. The kicker here is that I was told only billing could send me an estimated total and they may not even do it, I just had to put a request in and see if they would send it. Today I called again to confirm the other reservation because I never received confirmation of that room. I didn't ask for an email but after the phone call that was what I got with the estimated bill included. Funny I was told the front desk couldn't do that. This hotel is filled with lazy people who don't want to do their job.

Great hotel in a convenient spot just off of Peachtree and right next to Piedmont Park. If you are a morning jogger, this is the hotel for you! Rooms were comfortable and the lobby is a great place to hang out for a few drinks if you are here with other folks. Garage parking is expensive but convenient.

I always enjoy staying at a W property - and the W Midtown was no different. The staff is amazing, the hotel is very clean and the beds are comfy. Only valet parking available. The hotel restaurant, Trace, has recently opened. If you're not in the mood for that, the W is attached the the mall and there is a small food court. A must stay while in Midtown.

Room was as expected for a W. Friendly staff although the free drink voucher really wasn't free. It required a $10 purchase. Otherwise everything was good. Could've done without the 5am wake up from a group of people partying....

The hotel from the outside is absolutely beautiful. The interior is decorated in a very modern and lively way. I enjoyed the portraits found in the hall ways and how you were always greeted and treated by the valet employees. The valet team is amazing. I would rate them separately with 5 stars as they are quick and efficient even with the three wedding parties or so that were arriving the weekend I stayed.

The review is only three stars because while there were pros, several disappointing things happened during my stay. We stayed for 3 nights and every day had to request additional towels as only 2 were left in our room by housekeeping. If I was just giving stars to housekeeping, they would get 1. They did come every day and fix the beds but that was about it. The last day we even had to call the front desk to ask for toilet paper. Our soap, shampoo and conditioner were never replaced either. I do not feel that at such a luxurious hotel that we need to ask for such simple items. Our trash was only thrown away on one occasion even though it was in the bin.

The other disappointment was the pool staff. They were friendly and offered drinks; however there was a large crowd having a party in the pagodas that keep throwing each other into the pool. The pool at it highest depth is barely 5 feet, if the water is not diving level then people should not be thrown in. There were kids playing in the pool that could have been hurt. At one point a staff member spoke to what appeared to be senior management but she came, watched for a little bit and then retreated without addressing the group. Some individuals from this group eventually got into a real fight and the staff did not intervene at all. We left the pool area.

There are some good restaurants within walking distance, a starbucks cafe, etc.

Just checked in, but single bed room feels comfortable so far. Valet and lobby staff both were friendly and helpful. Oversized vehicles will require the valet parking, but it ends up cheaper than the self parking anyway.

Okay visit but have to make sure you are getting what you paid for. Missed food with meal, forgot drink tickets and free valet service, forgot to bring dog bed and bowl, and discount on spa services. Don't offer the services if you don't plan on honoring them. Also, my room was next to a door the maid staff came in and out of and they started speaking loudly and slamming doors early in the morning. And to top it off I found a roach in a my room this morning. Now wondering if I should shake my stuff before leaving. Staff nice and room was clean and nice.

Nice hotel overall. People were nice, especially the bell boy that checked us in. No refrigerator for us to use, was promised connecting rooms but didn't have to option for the room types we needed. Horrible service at the lobby restaurant. Location was great!

The Hotel is very nice, however my credit card was charged for things that I didn't use. When I tried to call for a resolution, I JUST got stone walled the whole way with lousy phone recordings to their finance department basically saying " Get in the complaint line with everyone else." I was finally was able, after several more attempts, to get one of the lobby attendants to transfer me to a phone extension but just ran into another voice mail and of course, it was never returned.. BAD BUSINESS!!! STAY AWAY!!
