This park has lots of greenery and open spaces. There is an amazing bike/running path around and thru the park. The park is well used by the community. It is a nice space to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon and people watch or for a morning run.

Perfectly cool place to ride bike as visitor without having any accident Also to catch sun or drink cold fresh beer It has space where the kids can swim or play with water Family place and for lovers also good idea
Vondelpark is stunning. Full of glorious foliage you are surrounded by trees, green lawns, waterways and park benches. There are plenty of places to picnic or go for a night jog. It can get busy on sunny days with riders, walkers, dog walkers, baby strollers and digs everywhere. If you want to experience the best of Vondelpark visit early in the morning and feel the ambience.
Vondelpark is such a great place to escape the city life and to simply enjoy the open air and a nice walk (with your dog), a bike ride or outdoor activities such as hiking or picnicking. Love to have a coffee at cozy Vondelpark3 while enjoying the sun.
One of the best parks we have ever been to. Spring at its best. Green gardens, beautiful lakes and canals that run through out the park. Picturesque bridges and cherry blossom trees. There were 3 kinds of play areas that we came across catering to 1year+. A big field where lot of dogs were running about. There are restaurants inside the park where you can eat and relax. We could not spot toilets easily. There was a paid toilet in the Groot Melkhuis restaurant inside the park that we used. It is an excellent place to be with family and friends on a warm sunny day.
We walked through this park many times during our stay to get from the Museum Area in to the City Centre. Clean park also used by runners and cyclists so be aware of the bike riders....
Best park in Amsterdam! The Vondelpark is close to museum square and is probably the city's best. Very large and beautifully designed, the park is a place where people can relax, play sports on the grass, bike along the pathways and enjoy some nice weather. There's a nice cafe in the Vondelpark where the locals relax. I recommend bringing some snacks and having a little picnic in the park while you breath in some fresh air and take in the gorgeous surroundings.
The biggest park of Amsterdam, a lot of green, a lot of trees, water, everything. It's like the little brother of the New York (former New Amsterdam) central park.
Vondel Park is a great place to relax with the whole family, especially in the summer. Here people ride bikes, run, there are playgrounds and recreation areas near lakes. There are many ducks in the lake.
Great place to do a picknick and/or wander. At summer there is people up until late and it is pretty safe. Lightning could be improved but come on, get over that darkness fear!
A fabulous park in the heart of Amsterdam. Great place to people watch. Spread out a blanket and have lunch, read a book, or stroll through the park and see sculpture works by Picasso. Always a fun place.
Good area of Amsterdam to relax a bit and get away from the really touristy part. Still enough people though. Check out the areas North or South of the park to find more exclusive neighbourhoods.
The single biggest reason why i want to live in Amsterdam. What a luxury. I think i would bike or run here everyday. There are countless trails, some broad and busy, some small and hidden. The trees are beautiful, so are the ponds and water features. But BUT, look for the birds! There are many beautiful varieties that live in the park. Bathrooms are scarce. You'll probably have to go to one of the several cafes for that. Take the good camera! There are countless beautiful shots to be had.
Rented bicycles to experience the park. It is expansive with many parts to see. The rose garden is lovely and there are many small ponds to enjoy. It is a great park to walk, bike, run, or skate.
Gorgeous park close to city centre. Great for running, walking, exploring, and relaxing. The main pathways get really busy with cyclists, pedestrians, and runners, so step off the main routes for a quieter walk. Funny to see parakeets there flocking around.
One of the best parks I ve visited besides the Hyde park and Central Park. Although I d rate this one second best after first being Central Park in Manhattan New York. This park is massively huge and has lot of entrance and exit points. There are lot of people and it is super colourful, there are fountains , pet dogs running around , people are skating , biking , sprinting , jogging ,running. I took a nice nap too inside the park. There are few food trucks and restaurants inside the park. There s a pond and a lake inside too filled with cute ducks.
To spend that lazy afternoon... Vondelpark is a huge public park, built in mid nineteenth century, extending over 120 acres and is a very relaxing place. Among other attractions, it also has an open air theatre. The bus stop is just outside the main gate. There's a pond and has many exotic trees. People also use it to just cross it to the other side.
A great park to walk around which is surprisingly right in the middle of the city. It's no central park in nyc but there are areas where you can play futbol and listen to live music. There are also some food trucks around too(nothing special but if you're hungry while walking you have options). You also have a casino and the hard rock cafe nearby along with the museum district in easy walking distance.
I love this park, its my favourite and one of the best places to visit in Amsterdam. The atmosphere is nice. Its got quiet spots and busier areas. People like to jog and cycle around this park, as well as relax on the grass next to the water or near the many trees. On warm, sunny days this makes a great place to chill. And on calm autumn nights, it makes a perfect spot for a nice quiet walk. I have so many amazing memories of this place!
. We took a wander through vondelpark. It was beautiful, lots of green and a great way to spend a day. There is lots to explore and all the flowers and trees are lovely. A great place to go and explore with kids as lot of ducks are there
The biggest park in Amsterdam, very close to the Reiks museum and ideal for a nice walk! Beautiful lakes and animals around. If there is a good weather why not having a nice picnic
This is an amazing park where all summer long & not only people spend their free time or whole days playing, eating, drinking and socialising... you can't miss it when visiting Amsterdam especially on a good weather day.
