One of the best in business, this legendary engineering college gives out lot more than education! Huge campus right in the heart of Mumbai and good students coming to this institution make it a top notch college! Proud to be a part of it.

This location is easy to reach. Parking is easily available free of cost. A lot of parking space is also available. This institution is a very old and famous engineering institute. Located in central Matunga. Matunga station or Dadar station is near to this location

Overall technovanza 2k18 was average. However, there are some improper coordinations in events. Especially in TPP presentation competition, there was no cooperation of a team, Less management skill, Inadequate knowledge about the event, no provision of the certificate for participants at the required time. In addition, the co-ordinators were wasting time in debating on useless things. Many participants faced their abnormal and repellent behavior. Due to this, participants were unable to give their valuable presentation. I'll not take the name of coordinators. Even so, I wish next time will be an improvement in coordination structure. I will prefer them to take advice and guidance from respective staff and senior member before executing such presentation related events. Thank you....

One of the best engineering college in Mumbai and Maharashtra. Campus placement is great. Infrastructure is a little old. Faculty is a mixed bag, ranging from some great professors to mediocre ones.

VJTI is one of the oldest college not only in India but in entire Asia. It played a major role in setting up of IIT-Bombay institute. It has many distinguished alumni till date in not only Engineering or Technology domain but in other like Politics or Business domains also. It's difficult to get in to this college due to tough competition. There are Diploma, Degree, Master and Doctors courses available here. Currently there are 9 branches for Degree (B.Tech.), and for Master there are two choices available (M.Tech. and MCA).

Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute is the oldest engineering colleges in Asia. Along with being the peak college for accademics, it conducts many events like Pratibimb, Technovanza, Rangawardhan, Enthusia, etc. Enthusia is the national-level annual sports festival of VJTI, organized under the aegis of VJTI Gymkhana. It is one of the largest intercollegiate sports festivals in Maharashtra and India.

I came at this college since it was one of the ARCs for Admission through CAP ROUND. People are crazy rude here and don't respect our parents who are concerned about us. There is this one guy who thinks he is really smart and calls parents murkh (stupid) and says the guards to pay heed to them. This place is supposed to be a place where our parents and us get our doubts cleared while we hear this nonsense from the staff here. Highly disappointed. This College is useless as an ARC.

I graduated from VJTI in Feb'19. The students make this college a better place. The crowd is competitive. New faculty is not up to the mark, and infrastructure is old. But many changes are being initiated recently. Autonomy helps the students to focus on their interests outside academia. Enjoyed my time here!

Review from localite's perspective Pros: Brilliant crowd (some of the best from maharashtra ). Lots of events (technical and extracurricular). Few teachers teach well and are leninent. Big campus (might get lost on 1st day). Facilities like library, internet lab, canteen, gymkhana, big playgrounds, etc. Canteen food is affordable for most students(although might not be hygenic). Good placements for btech students. Close to matunga station. (10-15 min. walk) Cons: Most teachers are strictly below average in terms of quality of teaching, you have to self study a lot. Non teaching staff can be rude sometimes. Infrastructure is old(not aesthetically pleasing but it is functional). Overall college life is good here.
