The beautiful beach, the color of the sea as on the cards. It's all good. Now about bad. Sunbeds on the beach occupied from 6:30 am. It is forbidden, but the staff does nothing. The food in the buffet is not funny, worst of all is the same for a week! Hotel staff does not greet guests. It is very strange to see such a dry attitude in the Caribbean.
There were 2 things to complain about.1: The bungalow was a disaster, everything dirty. On the closet, under the bed, the whole duvet covers, cobwebs on the ceiling and the disgusting blackout curtains. There were 13 More

Excellent, theater, restaurant, breakfast, pizzeria, pools, gym, everything! Especially the kids d animation, if one is going to have fun is the right place !!!! The beach of 7 colors, warm, without waves, special for adults and children. The goldfish .... unbeatable !!!!
I am now at home in this hotel! It is certainly not 5 star, but the services and staff are excellent! If you want to spend little and have one of the most beautiful beaches in Bayahibe this is the right place!

The attention is very bad, personal lack, the vast majority are as angry, there are missing cleaning items such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, the safe must be paid daily, there is no refill of drinks throughout the stay, or coffee maker in the room!!!! The rooms are horrible, they do not reflect 4 stars or by chance, I do NOT recommend it, adding to this that I saw how the guards beat a guest. The beautiful beaches and the acceptable food, the attention well, but nothing more.

The location is great, except in the hotel area you can't do anything.
The staff at the reception often try to turn on the paid safe in the room!
There is only one area of the hotel for free, and this is just a disaster. It sometimes takes half an hour to log into the network.
We were there during Hurricane Irma in September 2017 and it's hard to believe - but the hotel actually didn't think it necessary to provide free WiFi everywhere on those bad days so that you could inform your relatives that it was fine goes !! That's really more than bold, because as you can imagine, the free WiFi area was way too crowded during the Hurricane.
The food at the snack bars was sometimes really unreasonable, but you had no other choice if you wanted to eat something in between.
The room had no balcony and of course not the sea view requested in the booking, what else! It was old and the lack of a balcony made it stuffy very quickly! You also noticed that the shabby rooms without a balcony were mostly Germans who had booked with German travel agencies!
Would really recommend everyone to spend a little more money and go to another hotel or maybe even to another country in the Caribbean, because you can tell that the Dominican Republic is the cheapest destination for tourists there (in the clientele and in the presentation).
Good service by employees, but at the level of gastronomy I would say that it should improve, in addition to rooms with many deficiencies.
Stayed there for a week in February (busy season) with my family. We travel a lot to Dominican, both the Atlantic and the Caribbean coast. Resort is a sister to the the Viva Wyndham Palace next door, in general many areas are open for use of both hotels, but not restaurants. Liked: beautiful and well maintained beach, beautifully landscaped surroundings, friendly staff (however, sometimes quite useless as almost nobody speaks English). Crowd mostly Canadian French, Italians, some German and Latin Americans. Haven't seen anybody drunk in or around the pool as often happened where my fellow Americans vacationed. Lots and lots of activities for adults and children, great animation team. Sales people weren't too pesky. Cute little "local" village with shops and restaurants right outside the property gate. A few pools to choose from. Dominican dance in the evening and then club dance every night. Didn't like: food - for the size of the property way too few places to eat, existing ones way too overcrowded and poorly organized, kitchen constantly had trouble to supply enough food, menu rather limited and changed just a little in a week. Snack bar didn't have any fruit or sweets. Only 2 a la carte restaurants for the Beach hotel (plus one for adults only), bookings are taken a few days in advance. We asked for a wine list twice and didn't get one. Instead poor waiter tried to explain that they only had red house wine. We were ready to pay extra for our wine, but were not able to get a wine list :). Paid safe in a room didn't work, bath only had some inexpensive shampoo-conditioner in one, no body lotion. Wifi was patchy. In general, it was OK, we didn't starve and had fun, but for the property of this level I would expect higher quality. This was my first experience with Viva Wyndham hotels, and I'm not sure I would try any other of them.
Excellent attention by staff in general, some technical maintenance problems that do not affect welfare, the highlight is the dedication and joy of the staff, makes it an unforgettable place.
We just came back from vacation at Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace. We were there from July 25 till August 1.2015.Check in was perfect same as check out. No problem at all.The room was good and clean.Close to the beach and ocean view room. The resort is huge, but very nice facilities.That is all goodies about our vacation. What is not good is THE FOOD.I got poisoned by food on Tuesday and now I am home,but still sick.I have been in La Romana 15 times and never got poisoned. The second bad service-is internet. I paid for the service,which never work in my room and I had to go by the pool area to do my work.I talked to the person who take care of that service but they sad they can do nothing about that.What kind of service is that? At least they should provide some complimentary time for this inconvenience. Of course that is never happens. The second is the Guest Service.I try to confirm my pick up time from hotel to airport with a transportation company representative,but I could not catch him for a few days. I ask Guest Service desk for help,but they gave me representative paid phone number to call.In any other resort I have been, costumer service doing all that for the guests with out any questions.Very inconvenient. Because I am at vacation and have very limited time to stay, I'd like to enjoy every moment of it,but not chasing representative all day long,or going back and forth to the front desk and asking for help. This is I believe was my first and the last time for that trip to this resort, if you not going to change all this stuff.This is my first review ever,because I was so mad and stomach sick.

Get to paradise! It is a place with impressive warmth, super friendly and smiling employees, a spectacular beach with many deck chairs and palm trees providing shade, very good food and generally good drinks.
The cleanliness of the room is the weakest point, the cleanliness of the beach deserves a compliment as it was always impeccable.
The animation people is a highlight. Very good shows every night.

Beach: more than a km of fine sand with truly Caribbean sea, turquoise / green / blue water and zero algae. Crowded beach at times, but no one is left without a sunbed.
Room: recently renovated, it is functional and welcoming. Ours on the third floor had water pressure problems from time to time, but we are in the Caribbean, you cannot expect plumbing or sewage efficiency according to our standards, but nothing problematic, impeccable daily cleaning.professional staff and always smiling like everything the rest of the Dominicans.
Entertainment: if you choose a village, in this case eden, you know what you're up against. Shows or outdoor activities can also be enjoyed or entertained, but if you aim only for relaxation and tranquility, you should choose something else.
Catering: sore point ....
I mean, nothing irreparable.
I had read, and I quote literally, "finally a level Italian cuisine". Now, there are already problems if you want to go and eat Italian in the Caribbean, there are people who if there is no "pasta" they do not eat, I will never understand it. But then there is not even Italian cuisine. It is a Mediterranean cuisine as found in thousands of other resorts, with moreover errors in cooking or service. And those who deal with catering every day immediately grasp it. But the real sore point is the alcoholic administration. It is not that they are not capable, they are not really trained for the quality they would like to offer, simply the figure of the bartender does not exist, they just serve the flock all day long.
Excursions: my wife and I only did the one to Saona Island, highly recommended.There are many others for all tastes, but I'm too lazy
Conclusions: I recommend it to families with children or to young people under thirty who are looking for the "caciara based on salsa and merengue", but for those like me who spent part of their honeymoon here I would probably say to look for something else.

The beach and outdoor views were beautiful. However the staff there was not hospitable or know any English. The food was just okay nothing special. I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone. The only people that kept us entertained was the entertainers. And Randy the bartender was amazing. He was the only one wanting to serve us our drinks and was very friendly. The airport was an hour away which no agent told us about otherwise we wouldve booked something closer. Like I said I wouldnt go back here.

Very nice clean and well-kept area. Beautiful bay, which is also good for snorkeling. The main restaurant overlooking the sea is gorgeous. We have never had such a varied and tasty buffet. Praise to the kitchen and the friendly service. Changing evening entertainment, different mottos. Drinks good, except for the cocktails (all way too sweet). We have felt very comfortable here.

A highly recommended place to visit and have a great time. All staff always with excellent service, very friendly and cheerful. One day they had a foam party in the pool, a must. The crystal clear sea water and full of goldfish. The stunning sunsets. All a dream. Congratulations!!

We stayed 5 days in July. The room did not have a minibar. A friend's suitcase was broken. I am missing a wooden rosary. And it bothers me that they wanted to sell us a timeshare at all costs.

We pay the stay in advance. Today we arrived and they assigned us a room with a work in remodeling next door, inside the same complex (that is, full knowledge of the situation by the hotel). You can not rest x the noise. They play with the money and the time of their clients. Of yapa, the air conditioning extremely noisy. It is not a recommended place for those looking for something as basic as resting on their vacations, and the client is not respected. To avoid dislikes ... I would recommend looking for another option of stay.
The view is fantastic, opt for the bungalow with sea view, it's the best choice. The service is not that of a 5 star hotel but the hotel does not pretend to be either. After 10 trips into other all-inclusives with better meals, better reviews, bigger rooms (and higher rates) we still preferred our holiday at Viva Beach. I recommend 100%.
Go make your beer / rum provisions for the room at MYA market (the best price of the corner) LA TERRACITA is an excellent little restaurant outside the resort.
Do not forget your masks and snorkels, there are so many fish in the sea, do not miss them

Nice rooms I love the way the rooms that look like identical cabins are distributed. The food very well. I just don't like ice cream. Outdoor party at night. Even on day pass it is recommended.
I went for a day pass since I was staying with relatives in the city but I had a great time. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. The only thing that I did no liked was the fact that we didn t receive any towels with the day pass, we had to pay extra if we wanted the towels. I ve done day passes with other resorts and always received towels. Other than that I had a great time.

Pros: great place, good room (bungalow), they clean it every day and they give you towels, sheets and bottles of water, well-kept and beautiful gardens, good attention, good food, beautiful beach, the resort looked after and clean.
The restaurants especially "the rock" great.
Fun and varied shows every night.
Cons: when we arrived they gave us the room without cleaning with everything that the previous tenants had left and we had to notify and wait for them to come and clean it and change the sheets, towels, filth, WC ...
The truth is the beautiful place, maybe a little maintenance is needed, noise-making doors, hanging light panels, damp spots ... cleanliness quite well, not quite but zafa ... decent food ... not suitable for demanding palates ... more or less attention, some very educated boys but the vast majority with very tired faces and bad payments ... made it noticeable. The excellent beach sector!
