Professional and polite service. Both the doctor and the receptionist/assistant were excellent.
Update:
After my second visit, I did find I needed to re-evaluate my experience at this business. When it comes to healthcare, the quality I appreciate is the focus on the client's individual situation so that the highest care is achieved. This includes developing a partnership with the client and valuing the information they are bring forth as being valid, providing informed service, recommending services that are necessary based on the specific needs of the client and the recognition that access to medical information is important.
I have lived in the United States where a business model was more often in place. In this scenario, a person is a consumer rather than a client. During my two visits, I was reminded of this. While it was a concern during my initial appointment, I did not want to be too quick to finalize my impression and give it more time. However, both appointments were very similar.
Most of the discussion during my appointments was about pricing and options to buy glasses and contact lenses. Much less was spent on my assessment and about my eye health. There was strong encouragement to purchase my contact lenses at this business. I was primarily seeing the optometrist for an eye exam. I travel sometimes for long periods and need well documented information on my prescription so I can purchase where I am locally. Regardless, where I purchase my contact lenses should not interfere with the process of having my eyes examined.
