Greg and Justin were our instructors for the training. They did a great job with providing the knowledge and skills the students/trainees needed to obtained at the end of the class. I recommend this company and definitely use them again for other equipment training.
Greg Gines gives a great Certification class for Fall protection. Newer equipment and great service! Very thorough and pretty simple and easy to understand presentation.

Took the class for the boom lift. The course is informative and Greg does a good job at making sure everyone understands the source material. Where he shines is on the hands on portion. You can tell he knows these machines in and out and does a great job walking everyone through how to do inspections and operating the equipment. The written and the operating tests are both fair. I would recommend anyone who needs any sort of lift training to consider going with Vertical Technologies. The material cover is top notch and the cost per person certified is more than fair!

Excellent scissors lift and boom lift safety courses. Also fall protection courses. Gary was awesome. Very resourceful and an expert in this area people dont want to take for granted the safety of the equipment and the safe use of these machines.
Very informative a class I learn a lot about the ground control system and also site inspection and vehicle inspection. Greg was awesome and instructor Went through every safety protocol stickers, safety, everything. I would recommend this course to people that have been driving these lifts for years. I have been driving these lifts for approximately 20 years and I still find it very informative .
The Class 5 and Class 7 was Great . Gregg is Definitely an Awesome Instructor he was Very Thorough in everything he did . I Highly recommend Gregg Keep the Great Work
I am a active member of the Hawaii Local 665 and just completed a instructional course that Vertical Technology offers at there Mapunapuna campus.This was not just a in the book kind of course and then quizz.This instructional course and instructors have been in the field and are very exsperinced not just with equipment but have information and step to step do's and dont's that only come with years of exaperince.They share vital information that is preventive and that could make a differnce while operating these types of heavy equipment.This is a hands on class so dont think your going to come in slippas and sit at a desk for 8 hours.Be ready to put on a harness and get in the drivers seat.The Instructor know exactly what level you are at and will work with you hands on.It was so informative and the level of professionalism was amazing.I left not only with a certification and crudentials.But i left feeling competent and with a assurance that i can be put on any one of these machines and know that not only my safety but the safety of others is in good hands being and knowing the level of information and hands on training i was taught at Vertical Technologies institute.
The class was Awesome and very efficiently taught. My questions were answered by Gregg and safety was greatly enforced in a fun and effective way. Overall the lesson was learned to take caution in all procedures.
If I could give negative stars I would. I don't do this lightly, however I paid this company to come out and repair my Upright X20N scissor lift several months ago in which they finally showed up after a few no shows (Fred), so he got the it running but told me it has a faulty up/down switch, I asked could for them to order another and he replied that they could not since they did not know the serial number. Last week, I called them again where Fred told he would come to get it going did not show again after he promised to, I was then passed on to Barry, I assumed is the manager of the repairs department, he in fact turns out to be the owner. They sent a different tech over, Jeremy, in which he seems very earnest and he thought it maybe the relays, so it was decided to order 5 new relays for the machine.
This morning I called to check up on the progress and spoke with Jeremy, whereas he told me that they had three new machines that they are working on for their company and that they had no time to complete my repairs and that he/they would call me (in the future, no estimated time)
when they had time to deal with my machine. I had already paid them for a service that was not completed correctly. Talk about being blown off, I've never had a company, in my 56 years, ever do something so unprofessional, all they had to do was at the minimum, call and say we had something come up that has caused a delay in servicing your equipment, with an estimated time for my repairs, so simple and respectful.
So I just got off the phone with Barry, the owner, where he told me that they had in fact had some machines that needed to get up and running for their business and that they needed to look at the broad picture of their business and they choose to get that done first. So, bottom line, the customer did and does not come first in their business model.
A final note, he did apologize, but no refund to me for wasted monies on the bad repair job.
Personal Note: Go to Bobs Equipment for Proper service and equipment, they told me that they will be here within the hour.
