The aquarium was so much fun and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend it.

Great place to visit small but exciting enjoyed the staff very friendly and happy Virginia one of the best places to visit.

It was nice though only lasted 45 minutes. It was worth doing but wish there were more exhibits. There was a overhead tank which was pretty cool as a shark and stingray swam overhead.

My kids loved it. Alot to see and zip lining was awesome

Great exhibits, lots of kid friendly interactions, and a nice section for touching some fish and sting rays. Just a little small for the price compared to some others.

Mask wearing and social distancing ARE NOT ENFORCED. Elderly beware

I got to pet stingrays. it was like touching wet leather. saw a slider doing spirit fingers. will absolutely go back.

The cost to get in is ridiculous. For the price I expected more exhibits.

Not much one could say other than....AMAZING, can't wait for the Branson Aquarium to be completed now.

There are a lot of people st the Aquarium that can explain things and share fun facts about what you see. They are extremely polite and courteous! Great place for the family.

Nice place to visit, they provide events, sights for all ages and different interest.

Smaller than their website makes it appear, but the walk under tanks are nice.

Better than I thought, The staff was really good and informative. We ate lunch in the cafe, which was really nice. I had Brunswick Stew. In the winter, not very crowded. O would return. I thought it a little pricey

They give military discount! Good variety of animals.

Great for family fun and educational factor. A bit pricey but worth the price.

First off the aquarium is in a pretty beautiful location on the Rudy Lake. It was a pretty enjoyable experience, except for the employees who talk just a bit too much and don't give you time to look at the exibits for yourself. Also some of the science/kids type areas has machines that didn't work. I look forward to long relationship with the the Virginia aquarium, but with that some of the employees would spend a bit more time cleaning and a little less time standing around or bothering guests.

Awesome! Can't wait to go back with my grandson. Expensive admission but you literally can spend the whole day their, plus the money goes to take care of the species featured there. Well worth it.

Had a great time here. We made it through in about 2 hours, taking our time through the Cats and Dogs pop-up exhibit and walking a little way on the trail outside. Huge bay for ray petting, and also an area to touch crabs. Nice balance of educational displays with exhibits. Loved the seals out front. Sea turtles and sharks were also very good. Gift shop could stand some expanding, but I got a reasonably priced sweatshirt that is very comfortable.

Was very crowed on the day we went. Would be nice if they only let a certain amount of people into the aquarium at one time to avoid backups.

So much fun! We went on the dolphin expedition, highly recommended! Very informative staff, they made our trip pleasurable and memorable!

I throughly enjoyed my visit. However I felt it was a little on the small side and I would hope they would fix some of the broken hands on exhibits. The outside nature trails were a nice change of pace but nothing can compare to the dolphin watching boat tour.

We didn't actually go in this time, but we enjoyed watching the seals play in their pen

Guides were nice every one was socially distant gift shops were very affordable sea creatures were amazing to watch.

Great place to visit with kids! Many game exhibits, informative! A large set of different aquariums and animals! Everyone liked it very much! You can stroke the slope! Kids love it! The subsequent walk in the park was not impressed, but as an option walk also has a place to be!

I had a blast.you can even touch the stingray and horseshoe. I took my girl out there for a date. She had a great time even if you don't go in you see the sea lions for free.

This is simply a great museum. The seals and other animals are facinating and the staff knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions. A must see place

Well worth the trip! Great day of learning and fun! The exhibits were beautiful and the outdoor boardwalk area was amazing. Try the ropes course while you're there! The IMAX was educational and a nice break. You will have have a terrific day by the bay!

Lots of fun here. Parts of the aquarium bottleneck so be prepared to wait in line to see what's in the tank. Can be difficult to navigate with a stroller. My 2 year old loved it. The sea turtles and seals were a highlight. It was pricey for the time we spent there. Only takes about an hour to go through. We skipped a couple of interactive exhibits with no fish tanks more suited towards older children.

Depends on what you are expecting. The outdoor section was impressive and the otters were our favorite exhibit. We also enjoyed the large sea turtles. But not sure I can say the value was worth the cost to get in. We had a discount for the day we went. I would have been more disappointed if we paid full price.

The Virginia aquarium was a good experience that offer all aquatic life from fish, turtles, lizards, seals and dolphins. It is a good place for children to learn about all sea creatures. I was a little under in the lack of size, I was expected more variety, but good experience.

Awesome Aquarium and great for a 2 to 3 hour day trip! Plenty of animals to see and the outside boardwalk is greayt exercise! The coral reef display and one other were shut down but they gave us 5 bucks off ticket price! Great business!

First time there was very enjoyable. All intetesting exhibits. Will take company again.

The dolphin tour was lots of fun and the seals were adorable.

Love that you can see the harbor seals outside as you walk up. The nature trail between the buildings is nice too. Was sad that the Chesapeake Bay exhibit wasn't finished, but I guess that means we will have to make a return trip :)

Love this place. Been going there since I was a kid. Great exhibits, cool animals...what's not 2 love.

Expansive indoor displays. My 2 year old loves watching the turtles. The tank is a feeling to floor viewing area. On a rainy day it's a little crowded but my daughter socializes like it's hey job. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. If you need a diaper changing station there is ONLY ONE in the family rest room by the ray tank. Otherwise its very kids friendly. Really wish they had more diaper changing stations.

loved taking my baby girl here and she loved it as well. great thing to do with the family. i wish i could go more often but it really is super pricey.

Exhibits were OK. Two different buildings. Needs update.

Very nice family place. Alot of informative/ research information displayed throughout the exhibit. I was slightly dissapointed in the limited number of displays with live water life. And the other thing that didn't sit well with us was, we bought the pic package which came with a digital print of your pic emailed to you. Well mine never did get emailed but was quickly resolved when I called. And for the inconvenience, they threw in a second background to my photo which normally comes with 1 background when you buy the photo package. At any rate, once I called the issue was immediately resolved. Aside from these little hiccups, it's still a great place to visit.

What a great location!!! My family loved going there while we were on vacation!!! The outdoor walk way was incredible!! Anyone staying at the beach that has children should visit the VA Aquarium!

It was my first time at an aquarium, so I don't have anything to compare it to... But it was awesome!!!

Good aquarium. They have some very informative displays. It is laid out well. Definitely not at the level of the Baltimore aquarium, but decent.

I really liked the inhabitants of the aquarium and the conditions in which they are contained.

It's a nice place but it's small you can see the exhibits in an 1 hour.

This was our first time together with our 1 and 2 year old and they loved it. This aquarium is beautiful and has a lot of neat things. The nature trail is awesome as well. Walk by the water and they have an adventure Park where you can zip line outside. It was a great experience. Highly recommended.
