Normally I would say they do an outstanding wash but the employees inside REFUSE TO WEAR A MASK to protect their customers during COVID in defiance of public health rules. If I had known I would not have taken my car . I can understand outside because of the increased distance and airflow. However they are on top of each other inside and once they have your vehicle you have no choice but to go in and pay. BRAVO to the 90% plus of customers who were masked and SHAME on Vintage Faire Car Wash for not caring enough about their employees or customers to follow a simple rule during this trying time. Sadly I will have to go elsewhere in the future

WORTH THE READ! My experience with Vintage Car Wash was HORRIBLE and is worthy of negative stars (if only...)

Very rarely do I post a negative review for a business. As a business owner myself, I am well aware of how damaging negative reviews can be. Unless I am absolutely appalled by the service, treatment, and/or product, I keep my mouth shut and let my lack of return business do the talking. That said...

Vintage Car Wash wins the award for Worst "Professional" Experience of the Past Decade. And I'll tell you why.

I had just sold my truck to a first-time car owner that morning. This young man had saved up his hard-earned money for several years to afford this vehicle. I wanted to make sure the truck looked its absolute best for my buyer, since it was his first vehicle purchase. This was a special day for him.

I told my buyer that I would get the truck washed and he could pick it up the next morning. I immediately drove to Vintage Car Wash because I had heard that they did a great job, and I wanted some hand detailing to make the truck really sparkle. I tipped the employee who finished the job extra because he spent so much time on it, even though it was a very busy afternoon.

First thing I did when I got home was to ask my husband to take a picture of me sitting on the tailgate. We come along the back of the truck and the first thing we notice is a BIG DENT in the previously unblemished bumper. Awesome. There had been NO DENT that morning when I had shown the truck to the buyer (and his two parents), who looked it over top to bottom. And I hadn't driven the truck anywhere else but Vintage Car Wash. The only place that dent could have occurred was at the car wash - when someone else was driving my truck.

I immediately called Vintage and left a message, calmly explaining the situation and asking them to give me a call back. I then called the buyer and told him what had happened. I also offered to take several hundred dollars off the sale price to help him with making the repair.

The next morning I drove the truck over to Vintage to show them the damage and talk to a manager. The staff and management on duty were very courteous, apologetic, and understanding. They took my name and number and said they would have their owner Phil give me a call.

It's about to get real...

Phil calls me about 2 hours later while I am sitting in my office filling out the bill of sale with my buyer and his parents. Again, I calmly explain the situation and that I suspect the damage happened at the car wash. Phil tells me he will look at the video cameras (of which he has like 6 or something) and get back to me. I say "ok, but how will I know if your cameras caught the damage...can you actually see that level of detail with all the cars that were stacked together?"

HERE IS WHERE THE $%#! HIT THE FAN

Phil blows his top. He starts slamming me, saying "my cameras catch it all" and told me that he thought I was a "scammer," a "liar", and that I was "feeding [him] a load of bullshit." He threatened me with "if I review those videos, and I don't find anything, then I know you made this all up and you're nothing but a scammer." I sit in shock for a second - as do my husband, my buyer, and his parents, who can all hear Phil YELLING at me THROUGH MY PHONE. I calmly tell him, "excuse me...stop. You can't talk to customers like that." To which the erudite Phil replied, "I'LL TALK TO YOU HOWEVER THE HELL I WANT." Then he hung up on me.

Needless to say, Phil never got back to me. If he ever reviewed the videos (something I highly doubt), I'll never know. I do know that he is a HORRIBLE business owner and is not only not worthy of my business, but doesn't deserve the business of anyone else. And he's a true loser in this world of social media. This is only the first of many negative reviews I will leave for Vintage Car Wash, and I have made a habit of letting everyone I know to stay away from there.

Apparently Phil forgot that there is business insurance to cover damage like this.

However, there is NO INSURANCE to cover abusing a customer.

Rolled in at 4:15 today for a gold wash. I parked my Jeep, and entered the building to pay as usual. Young lady at the counter was very nice. A member of the staff came in moments later and informed me my right rear window wasn't rolling up. I went outside and assessed the situation. They were taping the window up and I asked them to please remove it. No problem at all, I couldn't remedy the situation so I simply requested no wash. I'll get this fixed. I then went inside and asked the kind lady at the counter for a refund since my car wasn't washed. She called the manager and informed him I was requesting a refund. I told him what transpired since the manager knew nothing of the situation. His response was shockingly very unprofessional and he immediately went on the defensive. He said "I'm not giving you a refund, and we didn't break your window." Firstly, I never said they'd broken my window. Secondly, how would he know whether they did or not? His attitude and body language we're terrible. This guy must have some deep lying psychological issues. I responded with "I paid for a car wash and you never washed my car, therefore, I'm entitled to a refund." All of a sudden his cockiness changed, he stuffed his ego back into his rear end and said "Oh, well I didn't know we didn't wash it, give him a refund." I told him next time get the story straight before jumping to conclusions and going on the defensive. The manager (didn't get his name), let's call him Dick. Dick is a bald guy, around 6' tall, wears glasses, and walks around like he's a king. Reality check, you manage a car wash. I've been going here for years and unfortunately this was my last trip there. At least until there's a change in that position. The manager is a total joke and I'm sure I won't be the last to have a negative encounter with him, and I'm confident I won't be the last to discontinue service with vintage car wash because of him. I hope this guy learns someday to treat people with respect. I forgot to mention that he had the audacity to do this in the presence of my two sons ages 9 & 12, both of which couldn't believe his idiocy.

Brought my car here and had to complain twice because there was still sand and the inside of my car doors were still dirty. Called and they said to come back in and they won t give me a refund. Not worth going back.. Very frustrating and upset because I had to wait extra long for them to clean minor details on my car. Will not be back, might as well do it yourself or have someone who knows what they re doing when it comes to cleaning a car.

Love this place for the owner and her Unique shop. Employees can make or break the place. Expect to wait upwards of over an hour if busy and no apologies about it. Rather looked at as a nuisance if you complain to the current management. Heidi you are Super missed.

It's normal that this car wash accepts Voyager fleet card. The sales and services are rendered, THEN you pay. I was in my work vehicle, had the tank filled, then got the wash. As I came to the register to pay, I was informed that they no longer accept Voyager! I wished they had better communicated this change to customers in advance.

Took 35 minutes after my car came out of the wash to start to be wiped down and interior cleaning. A red head chick who seemed to be running the area spent more time walking back and forth than directing the cleaning. Definitely understaffed as cars are now backing up in the detail area. Still no call for more help. When I got to my vehicle it wasn t clean as the length of the wait.

My most recent visit wasn't very good they left the front end of my car still dirty my side panels look discolored and dry even though we had gotten the protection shine that should have been put on it. And the seats weren't vacuumed very well at all. We were in a rush otherwise I would have definitely asked for it to be redone.

I don't care what anyone says, Vintage is the best car wash Modesto. I came to get my car washed and as I'm pulling in, the guy directions traffic notices a crack on my windshield and boom... He asks for my insurance card and fixes my windshield before putting it thru the wash. Awesome customer service. I appreciate this car wash and their customer service.

Great car wash... great service overall.

Great car wash... great service overall.

No issues and glad to see that ownership allows employees to make their own decisions.

If you don t like that people are not wearing masks... then don t go, make your own choices.

Thanks for the wash!

This is after the $70.00 platinum package. Maybe it was because we didnt have an audi or a porche cayanne but 2 hours and $70.00 later i left feeling a little bit confused and a little burnt. Maybe if i would have gotten the $120.00 package things would have been better

So far good service driving up and at the register, doing review while sitting and waiting. Disappointed sitting outside and you see employees smoking and you let guest smoke in the waiting area. This is not thirty feet from the entrance. Thinking they could have earned a possible 5 but the smoking did it for me. 5 min carwash don't allow smoking of employees visible or guess in waiting area. Only compared from one to the next is that one in only 2 minutes away from my house and this one I wanted to try on my way home from work and 5 minute car wash does a poor job cleaning in and out of the vehicle. Waiting to see how clean my truck is and the verdict is, pretty good job.

I woul give you 0 stars. The outside manager in duty on 5/1/17 at 2 pm should be fired. They don't go by first come first serve service and he was rude and got into and margument with me and turn around and left me standing. Not customer service to be proud of. You should try to train them to respect your customers.

I'm reading some of the reviews and it's hard to believe there are people complaining about the price! The service you get for 22 bucks is unbelievable! They dam near detail your car! In the bay area a wash like this starts at 30 bucks! In Seattle its 45 bucks for a car wash like vintage provides! I am 100% happy with vintage! Quit your crying or wash it yourself and risk getting a ticket from the water police
