Vintage Car Wash Review

Bad!!!!!! I took my car this morning 3/12/16 they didn't do a good job!! I told them right then and there they tried to correct it and even after the second time around didnt to a good job never going back!!! Even if its free lousy job I paid extra $ for better wash wasn't happy will not recommend to go!!!!! Sorry but true!!!!

This used to be the spot to get a good car wash. That's no longer the case. But to be honest my standards have risen now that I know how rough automated car washes can be on your paint. They have not kept up with the times. They are not even using microfiber towels to dry the vehicles. The employees are wearing belts with metal buckles and jeans with rivets as they rub along your car during the drying process. I've been disappointed several times, and probably more disappointed in myself for coming back. As I watched them dry my car, I rembered why I haven't been here in some time... I had to have my paint corrected because they scratched my hood with a belt buckle last time. My mistake. I had them hand wash it this time since I had a ceramic coating and paint correction done. They washed and dried it in direct sunlight. They need to create shade for both the vehicles and their employees. Note to self: remember not to come back unless they change the quality of their process.

My car was filthy from the drive from Oregon. The Manager ran it througb again and it was spotless. Really a great job. I was very pleased.

Car was is a bit pricey, especially for the wait times. It is not touchless, so I get the hand wash when I go. They do a decent job, better than some other options but not the best.

Best place to get a complete car wash in town. Tasty food is available in the cafe and always unique items in the gift shop.

Worst place to take your car. They didn't get rid of sap on the roof and window of my car and wouldn't rebate my bill of $70 from the "top of the line package" for shoddy work. The "manager" acted like he could care less and the cashiers were rude and argumentative. Piss poor business! DONT GO THERE, EVER! I'd give zero stars if I could! Go somewhere else!

What a horrible Experience! We went there with my one year old son. The didn't even take the car seat and base out to clean underneath. The guy that was doing our car doesn't speak english at all so there is no way of communicating with him what i want done! i purchased the $70 because my car wasn't clean in months i usually do the cleaning with my bmw but at that time i couldn't. The side compartments on each door weren't vacuum. The center console wasn't even wiped. Underneath the car seats were not vacuumed. But because i didn't want to cause that non english speaking dude that did my car any problem or being fired i just gave him a $10 tip. I went back to them because the suction cups for the window blinds that i use to protect my son from sun when in the car were missing all 4 of them. Bur then the heavy accent "supervisor" kind of approached me and was so rude. He said no one would take those as the were not worth anything. yes they might not be worth anything but they with them missing i cant use those blinds i might as well throw them away. and he suggested that i hook the on the glass of the window since there is a hook on the upper side of the blinds. The STUPID IDIOT heavy accented guy have no idea that my windows don't close if there anything between the glass and the frame it just comes back down. SO STUPID! They don't even deserve a 0 rating not for the cleaning not for customer service.

Don't let your friends or family go here, it's not a safe space.

I wish I had read the reviewer's comment from a day ago before electing to get my car washed here today. The attendant(s) at the fuel/wash entrance do not wear masks. 50% or less of the staff working outdoors are masked. Not a single employee inside the gift shop/resturant was appropriately masked in this public space. Those preparing food at the deli have their masks pulled under their chins, entire face exposed, with their mouths and noses uncovered as they prepare food.

Management at Vintage Car Wash states that COVID compliance is "optional" and leaves the choice up to each individual employee. Management is also not masked.

They are not abiding by the current orders and are hosting indoor dining in their very small space with no social distancing measures.

When I politely asked why some employees were masked and others were not the cashier stated that they do not require employees to wear masks and they do not have to follow the state mandate, (unknown reason/no reason provided as to why they would be exempt).

Given over 75% of their patrons were masked and over the age of 60, I made a formal complaint and reported this business to the state today, for the on-going safety of our community.

It's heartbreaking to see the insensitive nature of others during this trying time as numbers continue to rise. Our downtown businesses are taking every effort to pivot and accommodate the ever changing guidelines while this business clearly states they are unwilling to cooperate with public safety guidelines or make any adjustments for the health and safety of their workers and the good of our community.

Finally, I paid $30 for a car wash and left with sub standard results, smears, and water spots on my vehicle. While there are limited options for full service washes in Modesto, I can attest that I've been to the hand wash on McHenry with our classic car recently. Not only did they do a great job, it was faster, only $20, they are complying with the guidelines, and provide you with the opportunity to pay outside. I recommend them as a safe alternative for those who need assistance with cleaning their car.

They always do a wonderful job - and great options of things to do while you wait: shop, get a smoothie or coffee, eat a little something, or just sit and watch the news.

The slowest experience here ever. While I know they were busy they seemed to need about 10 mins to find a driver to move my car from vacuum to wash. This was after about 15 min to get there. Last time about 15 mins to get a sandwich made. Prime Shine, here I come. At these prices, Vintage Car Wash is so not worth it.

And then comes the next part...

When I went to pay, the clerk asked how things were and I told her that today Vintage had set a new record for the slowest service ever. She was totally unfazed. I am sure she's heard it before, just not from me.

I waited for quite a while for the car to come through the washing line. Again, I understand they are busy but isn't this automated? When it finally got out, it sat behind two other vehicles that no one was working on for about 30 minutes, then finally those were done and the guy was supposedly going to work on mine, except he kept wandering around chatting with other workers, looking for materials. When he finally got started, he spent more time chatting with the guy next to him. Then for each part, he walked up and down the line looking for materials. He didn't have towels, he didn't have tire cleaner, he would return to the same part of the car (I watched him open and close the same door 5 times). Finally, after a very long time (we were well over an hour by now) he proclaimed the car "done" with the obligatory towel waving. I had been observing and noticed that he had not done the "black plastic protection" I was upsold for 5 bucks. He said he didn't know. I said, "yes, you just cleaned the marks off of the window that said to do that" so now he went wandering again up and down the line of cars, looping back and forth looking for the plastic protector. After finally finding it, he started doing the treatment, hitting and missing parts. After he signaled the completion again. When I went over the to the car, he had spilled some of the treatment on the left front fender making large white stains. I borrowed a towel to clean off.

After all of this (I was there well over 90 mins) he stood there like I was supposed to tip him. Here's a tip, learn how to do the job like a reasonably motivated and organized individual and find a company that gives good service.

Most fabulous and professional car wash I have ever been to!

great ash...but they need to improve on the cleaning of the windows. the front windshield and rear window just get smeared,thats not good.i have even talked to the person doing the final drying and paid an additional 5.00 just to be sure the glass is cleaned and dried.guess what it was a waste of effort.other than that the car was clean,

After 2 ultimate washes back to back I still had to take car to a coin op car wash to pressure spray the bugs off the front of my car after a long road trip.

Car wasn't as clean as I'd like it. Windshield was not good, door panel not wiped down and dust in back not wiped down.

Left my black vehicle sitting in the sun, I went in and told them it was gonna leave water spots and she said no it wouldn't they use something to prevent water spots. My vehicle is still dirty the front bumper has bugs on it,the chrome on the front grill and all around the car is still dirty. The Windows have streaks and the outside of the widows is dirty . There is water spots all over the car. I took photos and am very disappointed.I had to ask to have the inside of the Windows cleaned , he didn't wanna clean them because it is a suv and I have car seats in the 3rd row. I did not get what I paid for at all. I would not recommend them to a golf cart owner , that's how bad a job they did. I called to complain and received a answering machine. I left a message letting them know I am unhappy. I have yet to receive a call back.

Took the car here for detail wash and the inside of the car was not clean at all.

They clean the car so good it starts clean for a week.

F350, very dirty, but took just over 2 hours. No idea why this place has started taking so long. They do a decent job for the price but 2 hours is much too long. 2 different Supervisor type folks came and apologized about how long it was taking. That's all good but when you see its taking so long, maybe have another employee jump on it to help. You had several standing around behind the area where the cars come out of the wash. Want 5 stars? Get me out with the same quality wash in less than an hour. Specially when it isn't busy.

Car was washed bad paid 110 for their "detail" still marks on my leather seats and crumbs and hair in the seats. Outside still had spots and wheels were super dirty still I touched them to prove a point and got black all over my hands from the rims. They kept making excuses and wouldn't fix it or give a refund. Complete garbage. I will never go back

If I could give a 0 I would. $160 for them to skip under the seats and miss the trunk. Asked for it to be done properly, manager refused, asked for a refund, refused. Will never return.

They do a nice job and you can grab a coffee, smoothie or a bite to eat while you wait.

I have a lifted truck and they always get everything clean. They also do an excellent job of cleaning all the chrome on my suspension they spend a lot of time under the truck making sure it shines there too.

This place is great, super friendly and great attention to detail. Will definitely be back!!

If you have a black vehicle this place does an amazing job!. We took our truck today to get washed and waxed and we are so happy with how it turned out. They even got the spider web marks out and it looks brand new! Service was great and the head guy was making sure the detail was getting taken care of!

I ve been coming here for years and it s getting worse every time. This is the last time.. I had paid for a gold wash and a blow out and my car was sitting in the sun for 15 minute which cause water spots and this is a 3 figure vehicle. When I ask someone about it the guy just rudely waved his hand down. Man this place needs better trained employees and management.

These people rock! They get the job done politely and efficiently. Most of the people have been there quite awhile! Just like family!

Our initial experience with this place was pretty good. However, as time went by the quality of the work started to go down. It's not that they do a horrible job, but they don't do it 100% We pay for the full service wash, but get back a decent vaccum job, and we end up having to get it revaccumed. Many of the They ignore many of the hidden spots, which youd hope they'd get. It's the reason we come here. To save time and for a service better than what we could do.This has happened EVERY single time we've come, which is more time wasted. It's not horrible. But the service needs improvement.

We took in our new car to be cleaned the interior was messy we had two 8 year olds in it for a road trip. It was not over the top dirty so I made the mistake of tipping the man who did the inside. We got in and took off part of the way down the road we noticed it was still very dirty. Still needed to be vacuumed and dust and fingerprints all over it. We were unable to take it back because they didn't do it right in the first place. Be sure you check your car before you drive off very bad job. Not using them again heard of another around Mc Henry and Orangeburg going to try it.

Should be no stars. Their powerwasher took two huge chunks of paint off my front hood. Can see the jagged edges caused by the powerwasher. Said it wasn't their fault, said my paint job was already compromised. No way!!! Had small dings from road debris ricocheting off hood like every car gets from driving. Their worker over did it with the powerwasher and did not even report it. I found it. Long story short, cost me $500 to repair and paint, $130.29 for 5 day car rental, and a migraine from the whole ordeal. NEVER AGAIN with Vintage Carwash. There was no meeting even halfway on this damage.

I normally don't write reviews for anything, but I felt like I needed to for this place. I specifically only wanted an exterior wash on my brand new car and I made that clear to the person who drove my car through the car wash. I just got my windows tinted and the film still needed to cure and wasn't to be touched. They honestly don't understand what exterior only means. On top of that, they use the same towels for the outside of the car on the inside. That is a big no no because the outside of the car is always a lot dirtier than the inside of the car. My brand new car also had a ton of water spots that I had to fix myself by using a quick detailer spray. If you don't care about your car, this is the place for you. If you care about quality, find a real detailer who is experienced in detailing cars. There is a right and wrong way to wash a vehicle. This place definitely does it the wrong way. I should of did more research before going to this place. No wonder they have a 2.5 rating on Yelp.

Too expensive for the job they do on cleaning my car.

No employee inside or outside wearing a mask.
No social distancing from employees to patrons, even after several warnings.
1.5 hours to do 1 suv.

Employees are not wearing masks. I was informed that they weren't required to. Their deli was allowing indoor dining. Unbelievable. I haven't been there since Covid, I will NOT be renewing my membership when it expires. Very disappointing!

They do a GREAT job on my vehicles. Their employees need a shade cover over them though.

Payed for a wash and wax on a brand new Tundra( 1500 miles).,over a $100.00 .had to request the top of the truck get waxed after i noticed attendant did not wax the top. . Brought it back and they did re do it. In total I was there about 3 hours.the hour they promised on the first try did not happen. 1 person on a truck that size does not make sense, when it comes to quality and labor hours. I thought it was a great job on second try but after washing it myself about three weeks later its obvious the wax is not present any longer.No longer beading and having to scrub in most instances without success. Low quality wax or labor? Who knows? This is gong to take a lot of elbow grease and attention to get back in shape. Moral of the story is take to someone you know will do a good job or do it your self. Really disappointed in Vintage Car wash. Not to mention when I brought it back the first time there was some arguing about my concerns over the wax on the top of the truck that did not happen. Really disappointing and unbelievable. Unfortunately i cannot recommend Vintage Car Wash until the culture changes.

LOVE this place! Cleans better than any other drive-thru wash and the $12 premium was is actually worth it! Makes my car look SUPER CLEAN!

For price you pay for monthly you cant go wrong. I trash my car sometimes and they always do me right.

I normally do not leave reviews but this one was worth it. I took my 2017 Honda Civic Type R to Vintage car wash. I was on a tight schedule so I did not wash it myself like I always do. I was looking for a hand car wash place and stumbled upon Vintage Car Wash in Modesto. I asked if they did a hand wash and specifically asked if there was any kind of a machine involved. To my surprise my vehicle came out of a different area than the rest. It was hand washed and one person did the interior detail of it. Just $35 for everything (no wax). It was done before my eyes and I was impressed by his attention to detail. I am so glad I found this place. Impecable work. Yes I saw the previous reviews and was skeptical. But after this experience, I know where I will be bringing my Type R when I do not have time to wash it.

Paid $30 they didn't clean the console or dash board ....Im not going nack

I am sorry but I will never come back to this place, I have long time that I come to wash my cars but this time I'm really disappointed, I paid gold wash, I was surprised that they finished real quick, but when I get my car it was because they didn't clean it, they just washed outside.... my car inside is all dirty, I clean it better than they did it and for free.. I will never will pay on this place anymore.

Bad experience. These guys dont know how to wipe or vacuum a vehicle had to have it clean twice and not even second time was done right.. dont evenly wipe down just do here and there missing lots of spots. Definitely not going back there.

I took my Black C300 MB to get a car wash.
My car stay in the garage the Majority of the time my car never had water spots I have a few little tiny unseen scratches that only I can tell my car stays with a cover over it in the garage. Was not happy with a red headed lady was trying to tell me that my car had water spots already on the hood of my car before it got washed at the vintage fair car wash,. I was not pleased at all but one person went out of his way his name is Derek he tried his best to do what he He knew best getting the water spots off..I appreciate Derek but the rest I cannot speak for them I m so displeased very unhappy......

New in Modesto so I don't know the other car washes. This was the first car wash I went to and don't have a single complaint about the place. The staff was very nice and the price was reasonable. Sometimes people like to fuss over nothing...

Horrible place don t buy there food they mix old food with the freshly made food to save product and they store uncooked meats on the same shelf as cooked meats once I seen a cocrkroach wile an employee was sweeping this place is disgusting and the owners are rude and assume they can talk to anyone however they want they don t care about customer service they care about money
