I just closed on a place in Astoria a few days ago and my experience throughout the entire process of working with Peter and the rest of the team was wonderful.When I got to the Zikos agency, they gave me a comprehensive overview of the entire process then asked me very in-depth questions about what I wanted in the condo. I knew these guys were focused on my needs when these things happened:They asked very specific questions, such as, is there a particular coffee shop near which you want to live? Is there a specific floor you would like to be on? None of the other agents thought to ask more than the basic questions.After the initial meeting they drove me around Astoria, telling me about the different neighborhoods, pros and cons of everyplace, and showing me a variety of houses in condos that were well within our price. Peter checked in with me regularly by sending me specific properties that fit my needs. When I had questions on a property, he would immediately contact the listing agent for an answer. Whenever we went to look at properties, he never made me feel like I was taking too long or wasting his time. With other agents, I sometimes felt guilty if none of the properties worked.Astoria is a pretty tight market right now, so it was a little tough finding exactly what I wanted. What ultimately made the difference were personal connections. These guys also help you with things beyond the home-buying process. They've recommended carpet guys and painters and send contact info for utilities cable etc. I've already contacted the carpet guy and he is very nice and very affordable. They were cool with this and even gave us the contact information for few mortgage brokers of the area that they often work with, so that we could have our pre-approval when making an offer, and gave us great restaurant and happy hour recommendations every day so that we could unwind. In short, we love Zikos Team! We plan on using them for all of our real estate transactions!

Nick at Zikos Realty helped me get a beautiful apartment. Very easy to work with. Did a great job of explaining anything I was uncertain about. Easy to talk to and kept me up to date with where things were at.

Peter went above and beyond to show us more listings than we expected, and shared his expert advice on neighborhoods and commutes.

My experience was with peter , i picked the apartment online and lucky me he was the realtor on it , he scheduled me to see the place and he was in a rush. Then when i called him to finish the documents he didn t respond so i called him next day and he said ohh i forgot to tell you heat and hot water is not included i told him but the ad says its included , he replied no thats what the owner says, when i told him its fine i will still take it he said someone put a deposit on the house before i showed it to you, so why would you show me the place if someone put a deposit on it he told me that he will get back to me in couple hours, i called him this morning and he said the owner wants a 9-5 tenants not a self employed. They are not professionals and i dont recommend them at all

A really great realty company, with smart and kind brokers who work with you and help you through the (entirely stressful) process of renting in Astoria!

They really care about their clients and work to put them in the right home, and they also understand when situations change and don't pull any shady tricks with deposits - one in a million!

My boyfriend and I were searching for our first apartment together in Astoria, as we are beginning grad school in New York this fall. After countless questionable Craigslist posts and plenty of emails to realtors that never received responses, we were starting to feel hopeless. Maybe we were too out of our own league to try to find an affordable apartment in Astoria, one of the nicer parts of Queens, as grad students. And to find one with a parking spot included, still in our budget? It just seemed impossible.

Then, we met the beautiful soul that is Peter Zikos.

Peter was prompt with his emails, understood exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for, and was able to find three properties in our price range and location. After looking at all three, we ultimately fell in love with the first one we saw. However, we were the second application submitted for that particular listing, and it unfortunately fell through for us.

However, Peter was determined to find us a great first apartment, and managed to find us another open apartment, in the exact same area as before, for even less rent.

In the timeline of a week, we looked at four apartments, fell in love with two, and ultimately snagged an apartment that was way below our maximum price range -- including private outdoor space and a parking spot.

We feel like we had such an incredibly lucky and wonderful experience, and Peter was the perfect realtor to have as new renters to the market. He's persistent, kind, and is genuinely invested in the well-being and success of his clients. I would recommend Zikos Realty, and Peter in particular, for the rest of my time in the Astoria area.

I walked through the apt Thursday morning, submitted paperwork Thursday night, and received the application approval call Friday morning. Nick was able to expedite the process for me to be completed within 5 days, as I was able to get my keys on Monday. He was in constant communications with me and I never had a doubt where along the process I was. From start to finish, I felt comfortable working with Nick and the team.

We had the best possible experience with Zikos Realty, and with Thiago in particular! We had a very limited amount of time to find an apartment, and Thiago was flexible and available. He was professional and answered all of our questions, and even additional information we didn t even know we needed. Even after closing, Thiago has been in touch with additional resources as we complete our move. I appreciated that Thiago never rushed us, and actually wanted us to take our time to consider all of our options.

I would (and have already) recommend Zikos Realty to anyone looking for a broker in Astoria. They are knowledgeable, kind, and have incredible customer service.

Finding a good Real Estate office has always been a challenge to me until I found the folks at Zikos
They have a great understanding of the area and current market conditions and above all are honest in all their dealings. I have used them twice now and Richard and the team are easy to work with and great with follow up. They really try to fit the person with the right apt for them which is exactly what I was looking for in a Real Estate agent. I would highly recommend you give them a try if you are looking to buy or rent.

Zikos Realty knows Astoria and Thiago and Peter worked hard to ensure me and my family were well situated in the neighborhood. Their office was conveniently near the Ditmars Blvd station, and their service was top notch. I will return to Zikos when the next real estate venture arises. Two thumbs up!
