Viejas Casino and Turf Club Review

Casino is nice, bathrooms are clean, food is decent. The new Asian place not so good as I have been served raw rice several different times eating there. I would possibly give this casino a 4 or 5 star if it wasn t for the poor customer service. Every time I go when I am spending hundreds at a slot machine I wait over 1 hr for any kind of drink or beverages, it ridiculous you figure a casino this big would have more servers, especially on the weekends, but they don t. If I m spending 100s at the slot the least this casino can do is provide faster service, before you guys use to have servers with carts walking around, but it seems you guys got stingy and stop doing that, alll the other casinos serve there customers much faster and friendlier, the staff here always seems to expect a tip, but sorry 45 min to get a beer is a little to long, and by than I ve lost almost all my money. The casino and environment is great, but seriously need to work on customer service for both machine and drinks, as every time I press service light it takes over 30min to get any kind of help.

Great atmosphere, frendly and knowlegeable staff. All around fun place for gaming and entertainment!

They did a great job fixing it up. The rooms are very nice but you can't open the windows & theyre all non-smoking. You're in a closed in box similar to a jail cell. Buffet is also really good...

Service so so, expensive place to have a drink like refreshments Barona has them beat on the part. Other than that nice place for adults to take friends and have fun...

Pretty decent spot. Come here for the blackjack tables, never have played anything else here. Atmosphere was nice, average age is mid to late 30's. Went on the weekend I'm sure that subject to change on the weekdays. Low to no smoke, would prefer this spot to the other casinos in the area especially the Barona.

I really enjoyed this visit.. it was fun hanging out and shopping in the open air outlet center, and dinner afterwards was surprising good! I havent been here in over a decade (almost 2!) - so I signed up for the card and thought maybe I would get a freebie for doing so (like at the other area casino's) - but I didnt . No worries, though, it still didnt damper my time there and the food was good. I just didnt hang out to play, lol. Only thing preventing this from being a 5 star was that there were no outdoor heaters in the open air mall (it was quite chilly!) and the lack of "new player card" perks. Good food and mall, though.

Played for awhile on 140.00 came home ahead .Had fun

Beautiful with lots of machines. And good non smikung but payouts were not very good.

Viejas is a fascinating place, the rooms are very good and the experience is fantastic

They didn't have the room we reserved weeks before and didn't even bother to tell us until we arrived and offered no compensation nor even directions to the "only room" they have with 1 bed for family of 4. The whole place was practically empty
No cars in the parking lot and yet no other available rooms for us. Manager is lying, useless excuse for a human being.

Love everything about this resort, my main getaway without going to Vegas. Shopping nearby and ambiance always inviting. Employees are awesome! Feel like home away from home.

Cool place, rooms are nice and reasonable if you have a players card. The drawback is too much cigarette smoke , my clothes smell like an ashtray when I get home .

The best casino in California for a great weekend, I know that I'm not the only one that is having a good time.

I have been here before but this time was fun enough to remind me to review it! There was an amazing hotel clerk that was so helpful the slots paid enough to keep playing the tables were fun and my night ended up with keys lost and an ugly experience with uber. Viejas was a blast dinner room and staff all to thank.

Nice, new atomosphere with all the new renovations, BUT since they have taken out or relocated the drink bar, its IMPOSSIBLE to find a drink, now Im leaving earlier to rehydrate!

I love the buffet there. They had a buy one get one free special when my girlfriend and I attended. It was amazing. The large crab was our favorite. I forgot to mention that we bought our 1 year old daughter with us. We received nothing but huge smiles from the staff. We will be planning on coming back for the buffet. 5 stars

One of my favorite casino's besides Pala Casino, Viejas then Pechanga.
It's close to my house. It's a bit pricey, as for drinks and buffet go.
Staff and security guards are nice and more than happy to help you with anything.
Probably the thing I hate the most about Viejas, is how difficult it is to flag someone down for a drink. After pushing the food/drink on the machines. they never come by.
Place is usually pretty clean for the most part.
They do not have alot of promotions or perks unless you are a high roller, ofcourse.
Pay out is okay. not great, but not bad. They are always adding new games.

I love this casino. I had a 2 night stay there recently. Wasn't feeling it on the tables the 1st night, but I won each and every night on the slots. I live in Temecula and travel all the way down to East San Diego. I have my favorite slot machines there and I won't tell you which one it is. Would like more free nights there. Especially in the new Willows hotel.

Was here for a conference. Great room, prompt service staff and access to the outside directly from the conference room.

Casino isn't well ventilated. Use to be better, but now you can smell smoke everywhere. Before the air quality was decent by the food areas and buffet. So if you have have kids might want to just take them to the mall area across from the casino. Viejas is one of the nicer looking casinos in San Diego. It's definitely in my top 3.

I went to the oiutlet mall, used to go here as a child. They updated it a lot. But it does seem like it's going downhill

Lots of new slots. The non smoking area is actually quite big. Drinks were not too expensive for a new year's eve party. Paid only $5 for a beer and $7 for well drink.

Went to meet family staying at the resort, we had dinner at the buffet (which is the only 18 under restaurant in the building). SO many options. The bougie-est buffet I've personally been too. Dessert was the best part!

We visited the shops and the casino and it was as expected, okay to visit and shop.

Taking precautions by scanning Tempsbefoee entering the premise, before and after leaving your rooms and asking questions. Wiping everything down and maintaining a very good clean location to maintain social distancing.

For its services, very welcoming suites, clean, spacious and with a beautiful view.

They step up the game every time I go there.
Which is about twice a year, plenty of time to do so.
But still, noticable improvement and smoothness of every facility every time I go.
And it was high quality to begin with.
Buffet chefs are amazing. You can tell they really take pride in their dishes.
And all the chairs are so comfy.

Very quiet during the middle of the week. Hotel (the adults only new hotel called the willows) is beautiful. Pool is nice. Rooms are large and nice. Restaurants are hit or miss. Found an excellent local Italian restaurant in town, though. There are drink specials that are not advertised- check the website then ask the bartenders. If you don't ask they are likely to bill you for regular price (happened to us). We were also charged full price during happy hour. Removing one star for ambiguous drink pricing policies at the bars. Otherwise and overall a very nice, stay.

Awesome place. Very well kept and looks a bit classy. However californias rules on craps are so out dated and nuts.

It's being a few years I haven't been to Viejas Casino but lately I found a new renovated Casino with amazing details and of course what to say about Buffet with drinking bar.

Full of drug addicts bugging people for money or smokes. No big wins since rooms built.

Nice casino, have played here a few times, though the slots seem to be pretty tight. Pretty decent buffet, good variety.

I really enjoyed myself..Wasnt too packed and I didn't lose any money...

Ate the buffet and it was pretty good. Prefer it over Barona's.

spent the day at the Willows Spa, it was an amazing relaxing day. Got a massage, facial and manicure. all services were excellent. Facility was clean and well stocked with water, towels and toiletries. Staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. I would absolutely visit this spa again.

Service was incredible. However, we were cursed out twice at blackjack tables by angry players because we made a couple of bets that defied the players book. Mackenzie offered us free dinner which was nice, however the experiences was ruined. I ve been to Vegas a ton and have never had an experience like that and have it tolerated that many times by a venue. Overall, great service, but terrible culture and vibes. Overall, Spend your money elsewhere.

First time coming after the remodel, the place was much cleaner, better looking. Will come again

This is the first time I was disappointed. First, when I booked the room I was asked if we were celebrating anything, said yes, husband's birthday and our upcoming 35th Anniversary. She said she'd note it. We came, we left, and no mention even made of either event. Last year we got a really sweet note from staff and truffles. I wanted my truffles!. Our room was very cold had to call housekeeping. But not all bad, did get our room on lower floor and close to elevator, walk with a walker and room was ready and clean.

Best casino is San Diego!!!!! Love the new updated areas.
