Victoria Regent Waterfront Hotel & Suites Review

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Interesting view. Deliciously comfy beds and pillows. Large suite. Satisfying free breakfast. Super nice staff. Free parking! Short walk to all my favourite restaurants and shops. My dinosaur of a husband was able to smoke out on the huge deck. Will come back for sure.

We spent our first wedding anniversary here. They upgraded our booking to a harbor view suite, and complementary prosecco! They treated us better than gold, and they've earned our business for years to come!

Great location and room, the staff were friendly but the bathroom was a let down.

The staff is fantastic and certain individuals in particular went above and beyond to make or stay even better. Friendly smiles and hellos from most everyone, and the rooms were clean and had great views. The best part is the location, as its proximity puts it within walking distance of every single attraction in downtown Victoria. The only drawback I experienced was the small size of the breakfast dining room. One morning we had to wait for about thirty minutes or so to get a table. Kind of sucks to have that with a hotel breakfast. As long as you re here before 8:30 am there shouldn t be a wait.

Lovely place. Fully renovated units. Secured underground parking that needs buzzing in to. Beautiful views from the purchased unit I was visiting in. Right across the harbour and the new bridge.

Perfect location for walking to Victoria's main attractions. The front of the hotel is the sea, the scenery is super beautiful. The rooms are spacious and the facilities are complete. The staff are friendly, welcoming and easygoing. Gluten-free options are also available for breakfast. The only downside is that the dishwasher, which only washes 3 or 4 dishes, requires someone to look after. If you can upgrade to a professional single-serve coffee machine, then you may be willing to wash your own cup.

We stay here when visiting Victoria and find the location excellent for sights and restraunts. The hotel is very comfortable, service is great and all for a very reasonable price.

Convenient location. Clean, modern, and spacious suite. Great service. Note that harbor view may be half city and half harbor. Also some rooms are sold to permanent residents, so there are limited rooms available.

Free underground parking, free breakfast, kitchen facilities, spacious guest rooms (8th floor suite, 2 living rooms), great waterfront view, but only gull feces (it seemed unavoidable to clean every day) We did not use it but had a washing machine, bottled water, free WiFi, hot water!

Stayed here multiple times and always been very pleased. Fabulous location, very clean and well run establishment.

It was great, very comfortable and had a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that there's no air conditioning, but that's ok because you can open the windows. It has a great view. Would recommend!

Rooms were very spacious, spent some time there talking with family and got a nice vibe from the place.

My favorite local hotel. Staff are amazing and all work exceptionally hard to make your stay special. Rooms are huge and luxurious. You won't find another hotel like this one. Location is exceptional. Only thing is they don't have hotel amenities like a pool, but the rooms more than make up for it. This hotel is a hidden gem.

Great hotel. Location is perfect. Free covered secure parking, each room has it's own WiFi network and the complimentary breakfast is very robust (eggs, omelettes, waffles etc.). Staff is friendly and the rooms are generous size. My sister was upgraded for free when she told them it was her wedding night.

Nicely located in the core of the city, Victoria Regent Waterfront Hotel has comfortable and spacious rooms with good size bathrooms. The breakfast room is facing a great view over the marina where you'll be able to see the ferries, boats and hydroplanes arriving around 9AM.
At night the hotel is a short walk from a wide variety of pubs and restaurants.

We recently stayed here for our wedding and we cannot say enough great things about this hotel!!! We were upgraded to the most BEAUTIFUL room and were treated like gold!! They made our stay so memorable and our HUGE and beautiful suite was the perfect place to get ready and spend our wedding night!! Also the front desk workers were SO friendly and helpful, especially the lovely Rose who was very helpful and kind!!! A great place to stay or to spend your special day!!!

Our room had a large balcony with a beautiful view of the harbor. Very friendly service at check-in, and a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning. Can t think of any negatives. Would stay here a thousand times again.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite in August 2020 for two nights. The balcony and views were beautiful, the location itself is convenient and the front desk was helpful. The reason I am giving it 3 stars which would have otherwise been a 5 star review is cleanliness. My boyfriend and I found someones dirty underwear in one of the closets in the bedroom. We were pretty disappointed about this as rooms are supposed to be thoroughly cleaned and given the covid-19 situation, housekeeping should be very vigilant with their cleaning. The staff were shown the dirty article of clothing and they were very apologetic. They discounted about 60 dollars off the price but I think we should have gotten a bigger discount considering we paid over 300 dollars a night for our room. We also noted that upon arrival the balcony doors were left open as well as the screen doors so we had to shoo some flies out of our room.

Whilst Victoria itself was a disappointment to me, the Victoria Regent Hotel was not. Huge room with water views. Nice an dclean and comfortable accommodation.

Excellent location, very large and comfortable suites with nice views. The kitchen was fully equipped but a little aged. Convenient underground parking. The complimentary breakfast was a bit scarce, no cheese or vegetables, but what they did have was tasty. Overall, happy and would stay again if I ever return to Victoria.

This place is great! The views are amazing and the staff and super friendly. Well managed. We stayed here on our wedding night and once they found out why we were there, they upgraded our room to help make our stay even better. Thank you!!!

The biggest reason I'm leaving this rating is to adjust the current rating for this hotel- It should not be as high as it is. They have several views because the building takes a half round shape. They only have 1 view that compares to that of the other hotels in the area. There's only 6 floors so not really any high views like the others. My "view" was from a second floor to parking lot. The idea must have been to advertise more waterfront. It appears their are a lot of permanent residents there also. There is no dining no room service- goto Fairmont for hotel dining. My cost was 350 for the night. Much more than others but a lot less offered.

Wow. A luxury 2 bedroom suite, with the most amazing waterfront views...fantastic stay for a family with 3 small kids, the chance to have the kids in their own room...away from ours, lovely!

Friendly staff. Great full continental breakfast. The suites are nicely sized and great views from the balcony of the harbour. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but otherwise a definite recommend, especially with larger groups.

Beautiful views of the ocean, and the rooms were spectacular. We decided to stay and extra night on the island because of it.

My family and I stayed in a 2 bedroom waterfront suite with my parents (6 people in total). Location was good and suite was big. The balcony was nice as well. However, we were surprised that they could only provide 1 parking spot for us. I think it would be reasonable to provide 2 parking spots for this type of suite as it is much bigger and meant for a bigger group.

Also, we wish it was indicated much clearer on the online description that this unit has NO AC. On a hot summer day, we were all surprised to find out that hotel suites like these ($490/night) without AC still existed. Unfortunately, because of this, we will not be staying here in the summers again.

stayed here a few weeks ago for a getaway to the island for the night. We were upgraded to the executive suite unexpectedly due to a special event we were celebrating. They were first class and made us feel at home. Rooms were spotless and very clean. Kitchen had all the cooking equipment you could ask for. Would definitely recommend and forsure staying here next time im in Victoria.

We were in absolute heaven at this hotel. Our suite was tastefully decorated and comfortable. Every detail was luxury oriented...linens, lighting, sunset-harbour view, privacy, patio-balcony , quiet and a knockout location with walking distance to everything Victoria has to offer. Stay here.

Found dirty socks next to the bed and the room was not even close to what was shown in the photo when we booked. The photo on the right is the one that was in the ad the one on the left is the beautiful view we got for over $200

It was old but comfortable. We wanted to have breakfast in our room. It was our anniversary....they wouldn't let us. We had a suite with a kitchen...table and chairs. Our check out time was suppose to be at one, at twelve the cleaning service knocked on the door to clean...don't they usually correspond with the front desk?
No air conditioning....you have to keep doors open to
the Harbor and strong diesel odor came in...awful.TV in the bedroom was bad. Dirty bathroom tub....black mold or rot was very visible.Plus...the bar...which we didn't know was under us and when we went to bed they were playing loud music.
Sorry....we won't stay there again.

Stayed twice and its been famtastic on both occasions.....will stay there again.

Wow! The most incredible views I have ever seen from a hotel here in Canada! Literally a 180 panoramic view of the bay from the massive balcony! Such a peaceful place to stay and recharge from a long day of travel. This is precisely the place you want to be. I guarantee that I will come back here.

The parking and breakfast was also included which was much appreciated. The rooms were beautifully laid out with each bedroom on opposite sides if the suite from each other to augment the privacy. Opening the patio doors to hear the relaxing lapping of the water throughout the night was a dream that almost made me feel like I was in some other country.

Beautiful rooms, very clean, not my first time staying and will not be my last. Only 4 stars because if you are facing the Bridge rather than the harbour you will hear drunk teens shouting a lot a night. Also the parking garage is rather small, and have very few spots. Otherwise great bed, nice breakfast, great stay.

We rented the penthouse suite for a party and it was awesome. Turned a bit back into a pumpkin in the morning though when construction was happening in another suite on the same floor

The view was spectacular. The suite was beautiful and extremely functional! The staff were always courteous and helpful. The hotel is perfectly placed in the downtown area, so it is within walking distance of shops, pubs, restaurants and sightseeing!

This hotel was ok. Rooms aren't very big and bed wasn't super comfortable. Also no AC was not ideal. Nice to have a balcony but it definitely was not worth the price. There is nicer places in Victoria for the same price. Stay at one of those.
