not impressed. went there with my boyfriend, my sister and her boyfriend. they said if we want to eat there we can sit and they will serve us. so we sat at a booth. we ordered 2 banana splits and a coffee. our waiter told us its probably better to get coffee next door. we also ordered a soda that we never got. and i asked for the whip cream and nuts on the side which i had to ask for again, then he only brought the nuts. i looked over and our waiter was just standing there on his phone. the banana in the split was rotten and gross. the vanilla ice cream did not taste like ice cream it had a weird texture, not sure why. not going there again.

Ice cream is always great.

Ice cream is always great.
Went in on a busy night. Few people were sitting at the counter. People were lined up. So my friend & I sat at the counter. We waited...no acknowledgement of our presence. Finally, I asked if they were taking orders from the counter. "Oh, yes." Was the response. It was like we were invisible!

A home-grown Sacramento landmark selling hand-made ice cream. Really delectable and I love to support local businesses but lately the teenagers working there give off a blah uncaring attitude that is a turn-off.

If you like ice cream and good old fashioned service you will have to experience Vic's ice cream. Even the sandwiches are delicious and come with chips or other condiments if you like. Located towards the southside of town parking can be challenging during peak hours mostly due to their popularity. This place has been in business for many years and has ice cream to go if you want to bring a container home with you. The old fashioned chocolate sodas are reminiscent of time ago and you will undoubtedly want to make this a place on your go to list of favorite restaurants in Sacramento.

I have been going to Vic's since 1955 and never been disappointed. This is the old fashion local ice cream fountain with all the great shakes, parfaits, and sandwiches, service is always excellent and their is a great sandwich shop next door.

It's a classic, and a Sacramento must-see, especially if it's a hot day and you can't really live with the idea of standing in line at Gunther's. Fewer selections and space than Gunther's means it's a more intimate experience. Great service.

Vic's is the coolest ice cream & sandwich shop around! I've been a customer since I was a kid (more than 50 years ago) and it's still as popular as ever. I highly recommend the All-around Chocolate Soda!!

Clean and cute. Easy to read menus with good pricing. You get more than you pay for, they also serve Temple coffee for less than Temple themselves serve it. Friendly service and customers. I plan on returning for the ice cream, good place for coffee stops with plenty of seating room.

Casual older soda ice cream sandwich place same as it was in the 40's. Home made ice cream and HUGE shakes if you eat inside. A bit expensive maybe but it is located in a wealthy area and it is all good tasty foods and treats. Street parking can be easy or just impossible depending on how busy they are. Well worth the effort to have a treat here.

I've lived in Land Park for about 7 years and have gone to Vics many times for work. When comparing Vic's to Gunthers in Curtis Park, Gunther's wins by *far*. Vic's needs to step it up. They are staffed by very young, unfriendly servers. The blonde man who works there during the day never smiles. He makes me uncomfortable. I cannot say anything good about this place except the quality of the ice cream. The place is not the cleanest. Come on Vic's, you can do better.

Vic s Ice Cream is a Land Park icon. Been here since the 30 s. They have the best cookies and cream ice cream I know of. I ve heard Gunther s is good too but never tried it. I also love Vic s Cafe that s now connected to it and just next door. They have great pastries from a local bakery brought in every day.

If you re in the area you definitely need to try out Vic s!!! Locally owned and operated!

Vic's is an institution - a Sacramento landmark going back, well, a heckuva long way. They create great seasonal flavors, so the menu changes about four times a year. It's an old fashioned soda fountain counter, with great arty bike racks and a mini bleacher outside for people-watching. One of two old-fashioned ice cream parlors that really help define Sacramento summer nights.

Vic's is a classic and iconic ice cream parlor in Sacramento, and a must have for grab and go. You may see a bit of a line form outside, but mostly it's because the inside is quite small, so fear not the wait is not bad at all. Have not had a bad flavor, so try a ton!

This is a classic, old school, ice cream shop. The friendly young people working there, serve up generous scoops of delicious ice cream, while you watch. And, if you can find a table, you can order other various items from their food menu. (I was just there for the first time, myself.) When you get there, you will have to find someplace to park on the street. They do not have a parking lot.
