We had a fantastic experience at Viader on our trip in the spring (May 2015). The property is beautiful sitting up high on Howell Mountain with a gorgeous view of the Valley. We did the portfolio tasting which was perfect for our early (10am) visit. Our host, Addison, was very personable and created a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back on our next trip!
Unbelievable wines - Cab Franc & petit verdot. Best reserve tasting I've had anywhere. And the views are simply the best around. Delia and family know wine!
Loved this place! The view is one of the best views we ever had... coupled with wine and cheese, it makes it even better!! Our host was amazing and even gave us a tour of the property.... definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Napa!!!
The only thing I would say is that it s a bit pricey compared to other wineries! $100 each is a little bit more than we paid in other places.

Didn't get past the first hurdle with this winery- I called to try to arrange a tasting, and in the middle of the call and taking my booking (after I had said I was calling on an English mobile), the guy asked if he could put me on hold for "one second". After waiting nearly ten minutes I hung up as it was getting expensive! Then I called back and after a few attempts he said oh sorry, I got talking to some distributors. That shows his priorities! After finding out about the $60 dollar tasting fee which you can't split between two people, I thought I would cut my losses as the signs didn't look good. There are plenty of other wineries with stunning views that have less of a superiority complex- we spent a lovely afternoon at Silverado instead- much more down to earth!
If you are looking for exceptional wines, an amazing view, an incredible history and story - then look no further. This is one of our favorite wineries/vineyards in Napa. We've been twice and the experience was nothing less than great. We had Chip this time and over a year ago. I highly recommend this place. I joined the wine club this time and very excited to continue to receive new releases. During the walk one of the owners was bottling and gave us a nice taste of a wine they were bottling. It was even great at it's young state.
Certainly a place worth stopping by, the food is excellent and well prepared, the costs are convenient and it is always well organized in here. Highly recommended.

First bought a bottle of the 1998 Viader for a good friend as her daughter was born in 1998. Top 10 wine on Wine Spectator, like # 2 or # 3. Decided to visit their Howell MTN Napa winery and WOW. BEAUTIFUL mountain top winery overlooking NAPA. Fantastic wines paired with in house made chocolates and exquisite cheeses, while overlooking the entirety of Napa Valley. Spend $150 and one tasting is Free. No brainer.
ALSO, after tasting the grapes 1 week prior to the 2015 Harvest, I decided to buy the 2015 Futures which are an excellent deal. CANT WAIT TO TRY THESE AND VISIT VIADER AGAIN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. BOOK IN ADVANCED.
Had an awesome experience today. Addison helped us, supreme knowledge about the company and wines. The tour was also great, the entire venue is a must see, some of the best views as you comfortably sip awesome wine.
The wine was exceptional, Cante offered a perfect explanation of the history & the vintages, and the view is stunning. A must if you're seeking high quality boutique products.
The view.......WOW!! This place was extremely nice. We visited here last week for our 15th anniversary. We were the only ones there and we felt like kings. We tasted some wines and then took a tour of the property and caves. Then visited the wine making process. Then we went back to the patio and tasted more wines. The wines were very good.
Addison and Ian are amazing hosts. I really really loved the wine, the view is spectacular, and the hosts were very warm, informative, and gracious. Thanks Viader....

If you haven't visited Viader, highly recommended. We have annually visited the Winery for many years. Probably our favorite wines of all time. Wonderful visit with Delia, Alan and Janet. One of the most amazing experiences I have had in Napa. I ve visited this winery multiple times and am always impressed with the service, amazing wines and beautiful property. While their wines and tastings are not inexpensive, treat yourself to an amazing experience with the folks at Viader!
