Didn't get past the first hurdle with this winery- I called to try to arrange a tasting, and in the middle of the call and taking my booking (after I had said I was calling on an English mobile), the guy asked if he could put me on hold for "one second". After waiting nearly ten minutes I hung up as it was getting expensive! Then I called back and after a few attempts he said oh sorry, I got talking to some distributors. That shows his priorities! After finding out about the $60 dollar tasting fee which you can't split between two people, I thought I would cut my losses as the signs didn't look good. There are plenty of other wineries with stunning views that have less of a superiority complex- we spent a lovely afternoon at Silverado instead- much more down to earth!
