Smart and helpful staff in this efficient and clean train station. Better than European train stations even. Travelling was extremely easy on the train and my experience at the Montreal train station makes me want to travel in this way even more. The lounge was very nice and the entire train station was well-run. Very well done.

Mostly a train station, here is the starting point for major destinations. Rail tours will take you to all corners of Canada and the United States. Departures are punctual except during the winter when the snow starts the game.

Wow, this place is amazing & the shopping/restaurants is in abundance. Very clean, big building. Via Rail staff were informative & helped with our tickets. We also had access to the Business Lounge, which is the only way to travel. While on the train, meals were provided & were delicious.

I never used the services of this place, but I found myself there that day during a walk in the city center. It was on this day that I remembered that a few years ago, I was appearing in a Hollywood production occupying the entire floor of Central Station! Either way, it's clean and friendly.

Incredibly limited station seating despite there being potential for a significant amount more. Not sure why, but all those travelers with heavy bags just have to mill around awkwardly. .. making it challenging for even passers through to get around. .. nonsensical for such an easy fix.

Having a coffee in one of the many places to choose from. There's even a wireless charging station for your mobile device. Unfortunately they haven't gotten the latest Pixel tech yet but I'm sure they will aquire it soon. Phone by Google. Thankfully my batterie lasts longer then other mobile devices. As for locol train system it's always on time and get you home in an Express way while relaxing in confortable seating. Monday to Friday. Hopefully it will be possible during weekends in a close future.

I love central station. You have everything you need there. Via Rail is here, along with lots of places to eat. Everything here connects you to the city, and the island. Go ahead, indulge in the food they have before or after your journey!!

It's adequate. The workers are friendly and helpful. the food nearby and places to relax while you wait for the train is ideal and usually they are on time but I have been stuck there waiting an hour due to delays. Most of the via rail trains are excellent and clean and provide great space even for a taller individual. Overall, it's good.

I used this station every two weeks for two years, whenever I arrive I feel that I'm home. Lots of shops, easy navigation to metro and nearby malls via underground pathways. Nice place to sit and wait for you trip if there's any delay or you arrived too early. Staff are helpful and friendly. More than one exit/entrance through major roads. Happy travels :)

I would like to say that they treated me like gold today as I was traveling from Halifax to Ottawa and had a layover in Montreal. I was travelling with my cat and she was feeling the best, she had an accident which they took care of both of us very well. I would like to say a very big thank you to Michelle and her staff,as they were so happy to help with no complaints what so ever. Taking Via Rail,I would recommend them to all of my family and friends.

OK. Small train station for a big city. Long lines on concourse waiting to go down for the train. Most people had to take stairs and a lady staff walked along the queue to determine who s eligible for escalator. Apparently our heavy carryons were not bulky enough for the eligibility. What? And, there s one escalator that reverses directions depending on arrival or departure. Yes, big city small station. No luggage storage because of bomb incident in 1984, but all you need is a screening machine to make sure the suitcases are safe to store. The male staff was adamant about no storage and sounded very pessimistic. However a lady appeared from nowhere and suggested us to store luggage at queen elizabeth bell desk. It worked!!!! Thank you! (They will ask for your room number.) (Rotterdam had a bomb explosion a few years ago. That didn t stop them for offering lockers for the convenience of tourists.) The only good side was the panini place at the corner. They make really good club panini. Hot and delicious!

It is dark and ill-indicated. It's ok after a first time, but for irregular travelers it's a disaster. The train service is also poorly indicated, with few indications. In developed countries, the direction is clearly indicated on the platform while here you have to remember the number on the ground floor before going down. At the stops after boarding at the central station, not all doors open and once again, no explanatory indication. It is designed for regulars and certainly underused because it is not integrated with the rest of the STM with very limited hours.

First time taking the train on my own! High Five to me for being an adult! Not gonnna lie, I was a bit nervous. But everything is so clearly indicated that I didn't worry for long. I think it's very clean and well suited to handle people waiting for a train, passing by the underground tunnel, and eating. My train was at 6am so the only thing open was the Mcdonald's but it's great that they have something open 24/7! I will definitely be taking the train again on my next adventure!

To be fair, this isn't the greatest train station but I've seen far worse. Great service in and around the station as well as a huge selection of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from which makes waiting around less dreadful. The layout is great too, everything you would expect from a train station (simple and big open area making it easy to find what you're looking for). However, I didn't find it to be very "commuter-friendly" with limited seating areas for waiting passengers and exits are not practical at all. If you're making your way to the metro station from the inside I wish you luck (those stairs and escalators really need to be changed). The entire station could use some slight renovations very soon as well. All in all, service around the station is superb. There is always somebody walking around that you can ask for help with absolutely anything and they are extremely friendly. With some slight modifications this can become a beautiful train station.

This is a station for passenger and commuter train. You have a many restaurants including a McDonald, Starbucks. A dollar store and big box office supply staples store. There is a food court. The station is connected to the subway, mall, offices, and hotel. You also have public restrooms.

Built in the 1930s in Montreal, it is today the nerve center of VIA Rail and ATM trains for commuter trains. It is full of restaurants and being part of underground Montreal, it leads to the various shopping centers, including the Boutiques of Place Ville Marie and the city's main office towers.

One of the most disappointing central train stations I've been to. Tucked away in a back street with an ugly bland facade, trains seem infrequent. we needed to catch train 67 to Toronto. Instead of letting everyone use the escalator, they force people to walk down steps with their luggage. Unless you specially request to, they don't tell you there's an escalator for use. Really really lousy facilities. Very disappointed.

Good place to snack during winter storms or cold days since accessible by the subway of the city center, the metro and the train station. On the other hand, far too crowded at dinner time from the aggressive and mundane staff of the neighboring offices.

Beautiful station although sincerely after touring other parts of the world the stations in other places are more marked besides being prepared for all types of visitors, as well as the machines for boarding and others I think they should be in several languages, even with everything and That is very pleasant to walk through the Canadian stations especially in the Montreal station where they have so many connections and access, only a little more signage and information is needed, here in winter it is very warm thanks to its heating, in addition to having many establishments for buy everything from souvenirs at a good price ...
