Come take a look at our roof after their repair from the 2018 wind storm 16000 Tryon Way. You will understand the rating.

Called them for an emergency roof repair. It ended up taking them several weeks to get back to me to schedule this "emergency" service. Then they did the work, had me pay... and the roof was still leaking in the exact same spot two weeks later. They said they would come out again, didn't give me a clear answer on why it was still leaking, and then stopped communicating with me all together.

So, basically, they took the money and ran without really repairing anything.

Office was extremely easy to work with. Crew and foreman were very informative and organized. They got my house and garage roof done in one day, with full gutters a few days after. Will definitely recommend to anybody.

We had a leak this past june called vertex to take a look at it after the vertex sale rep joe came out he suggested that we replace the roof we received a estimate form him and 3 other companies vertex did not have the cheapest price but they did have the best warranty That helped me make my decision to sign up with them
2 days later there office called me thetyrepair team came out temporarily patch my roof at no charge one week later our roof was installed The asked for no money upfront and gave me 10 days to pay after our roof was complete and I was satisfied with everything

The folks who wrote one star reviews are the type of customers who will never be pleased. If you read them you will see repeatedly that Vertex tried to fix the situation (if they even did anything wrong). And we are also only given one side of the story. I especially love the reviews of customers who think they really know what they are talking about... maybe next time do your own roof? Well then who could they complain about then?

Our roofing journey started with Long Roofing (based on a recommendation)They gave us a quote for $23,000 to replace a 10 square (1000 sq ft (give or take) roof). They sat and tried to sell it for hours. Finally I politely requested he left. This quote was an absurd amount of money. I considered with my roofing experience to do it on my own (though the pitch was a challenge as we are in the mountains)

So we went for Vertex based on the positive reviews. I saw that the one star reviews were the people which few businesses wish they had to service.

We were visited by Bill. No sales pitch. Straight shooter. He offered a very reasonable price. We were instantly excited to go with it and Vertex. I will not disclose the price as that is not my business to do (long roofing is certainly one I would encourage anyone and everyone to stay far away from) but it was SIGNIFICANTLY less. Very affordable.

Continuous updates on scheduling and material delivery as well as installment.

Big crew showed up (spot on time, this is extremely tough to do in the service industry) and began work. They cleaned up throughout the installment and finished in two days (would have been one but nearly all of our roofing boards were ruined-we thought would be the case).

Another guy-Thomas- showed up on the final day and was very friendly. Explained some things about the company and how they want to be different than others in their sales approach. I am here to tell you that they are different.

Last thing and I think this is very important-the only thing different when you come to the house is a new roof. No trash/debris and almost no trace of anyone s presence. They even went above and beyond and picked up some trash that they didn t drop.

I think it is safe to say that I am very pleased. Strongly recommend them. And would encourage you to support this company versus those who would physically force you to sign a lifetime debt contract. This hidden gem of a company is who you should be supporting. Help them grow and remember not to worry about any of the 1-star reviews prior to this review. They are an absolute joke and I m saddened that they hope to ruin this companies reputation because they want to be a whine until they get something for free.

100% choose Vertex for your Roofing needs (I think they do gutters and siding also). Don t look back or keep searching. Call them now! Will be the best choice you ever made for your roofing needs.

Outstanding job and very competitive price for our full roof replacement. Quality materials and expert installers. Thorough clean-up. Great follow-up. I paid a lot of money for roof replacement at Lowes in Woodbridge, VA. My roof wasn t that old and I had no problem with it but I thought it would be a good idea to replace it. Lowes gave the contract to Vertex roofing for roof replacement.
They replaced my roof and worked for 2 days to replace it. I noticed that they threw away my gutter covers and damaged the gutters during the roof replacement. I spoke to the supervisor and he sent the people who replaced the gutter covers. They repaired the damaged Gutters but told me they can t fix it completely and this is the best they can do.
They did not replace the rubber boots and the caulking of the vents which was 12 years old and rubber may not last for another 12 years. They saved $6.00 but put my roof at potential risk of leak. I checked other houses who replaced roofs recently and all of them had new boots and other things at the top.
After a few days I noticed they have damaged a complete bar of siding which I showed to supervisor and it took one week for them to send someone to fix it. The supervisor tried to justify every problem instead of fixing it.
After a few days I noticed they have not done a good job and the new siding which they put is broken again and it is out of place. I called Lowes and they called Vertex roofing and made appointment.
Next day I got a call from Vertex roofing and they cancelled my appointment and made another appointment. It was cancelled by the same lady who was always very rude and I tried to speak to the owner 3 times but they never let me talk to him.
When they fixed the siding the 2nd time it is a shame that they used all rusted nails and I don t know where they even got those nails.
This company is very cheap and unprofessional with incompetent people and they ruined my roof. These are the results after 6 weeks of installation and my roof will not survive, I have attached pictures. The workmanship warranty is 2 years and after that vertex roofing is not responsible for this poor workmanship. I am highly dissatisfied. I changed my roof for a peace of mind but I am more stressed now than ever because of this this nonprofessional company s work. I trusted Lowes due to its good name but they gave my job to a very low quality company. Whenever I call Lowes they tell me Vertex will repair which I don t trust at all.
I would never recommend both Lowe s or Vertex to anyone for their roofing or repair problems. RUN!

Bill was awesome with my insurance it took 6 months to get it approved due to my insurance wanting to do ony half of my roof but he finally got it approved the office staff was fast on get shingles delivered but it did take 2weeks to get them installed they had to cancel twice due to the rain but the 3rd time they worked with my schedule they told me to pick any day they would work around me so i made it on my day off that was great
Crew was on time tommy was the supervisor he had sure the job was completely to my satisfaction after the job was completely the office called the next day to make sure i was satisfied afterwards they sent me my invoice they let me know i had ten day to pay but my insurance did not send me the money yet i spoke to nicole at vertex she said no problem just keep her in the loop
Over all the had a great experience and have recommended then to all my friends and family

Vertex is a great company! They deliver excellent quality, on time. The finished product and the conscientious care of the home and landscaping is exceptional. I have referred them to friends and Clients confidently, and have never been disappointed. Professionals!!

Rep guide you through all processes from start to finish. Also, a very responsive staff that quickly got back to me on any questions. In addition, final price was far below estimates of other contractors. Most of all, execellent workmanship and I am very happy with my new roof. Give them a call.

AMAZING! they came and did the job the second day I called, they were trying to save me money so instead of changing the whole sheet they cut it in half and replaced half of it. Also Pat went above and beyond with his work, always pleasant and informing me of all my options and updating me about what is going on. Taking pictures to show me what is going on on the roof. I haven't had a contractor like this in a long time! I wish all of them are as honest and easy to work with. Great price, no hidden costs, good quality work and pleasant to work with. I can't say enough about this company. I am sure to use them in the future and recommend them to everyone I know. This is one bill I was happy to pay.

We called Vertex due to leaking in our kitchen during each rain storm. We had asked for price to get the flat roof replaced. Instead of just giving us a price they took the time to figure out that the leak was being caused by our gutters.
We had copper gutters and down spouts but they did not push us to stay the copper gutters even though we did. We're so happy with how they came our.
Also during there visit they pointed out we had some missing slate.
This company is great and happy to have them come back to fix the slate next month

Great job on my roof replacement. Best price and offerings compared to 3 other estimates I had done. I would recommend Vertex Roofing to all my friends, family and neighbors. Joe Cotter did a great job explaining what was to be done and when it was to be finished. From the time I said "lets do it" exactly 1 week later the roof was done.... great turnaround time !!! excellent customer service as well, they actually answer the phone. All around very professional, quality oriented and great attention to detail. Great cleanup and they are not done until the customer is happy.

Fantastic customer service. Quick response time from the office; friendly, qualified tradesmen did the work in one day with no disruption to my schedule. They even worked with us to ensure we received the maximum payout on our insurance claim. Would highly recommend Tommy and his entire team at Vertex to anyone.

The entire experience with Vertex was a good one. From the estimate, answering my questions, scheduling, installation and follow up they communicated and executed the job with skill. They even ANSWER THEIR PHONE! It was a good experience and the work was done very well. Roof looks great!

I've used Vertex twice now - once to replace my roof and then another time to replace my Mother's roof. I was pleased both times with the service, work and communication. Will definitely use them again should the need arise.

I used vertex to do some repairs on my house about 4 years ago i always spoke to Sarah at vertex office very nice lady
Last summer after some storm damage I had them come out and do a nother temporary patch this time i spoke to Lauren she was very helpful
This year I decided to get a new roof and received several different estimates from other roofing companies
Vertex estimate was very close to the others in price but very professional compared to some of the other companies
Brian was my salesman i could tell he has been in the industry for a very long time and answered all the my questions in detail He made sure that I received an upgrade on the shingles and gave a senior citizen's discount
The roof came out great All on my neighbors comment how nice an professional the vertex guys were (I have a lot of nosy neighbors) vertex guys even answered their questions
I will highly recommend vertex to ever person i know that is looking for a new roof in the future

The best! Tommy and his team have been amazing. We had a very rough go of things with a previous roofing contractor and wasted a bunch of money getting repairs that turned out to not be repaired and were very nervous to move forward with getting our roof completely redone. We talked to several companies but when we met with Tommy we knew we had the right people! They gave us a fair and honest price upfront without any crazy sales pitches like previous, outrageously priced companies. They showed up when they said they would and Tommy has been fantastic at always answering any questions along the way. We even had a bit of a hiccup on the way (no one's fault, just bad luck) and Tommy immediately had it taken care of with upmost professionalism. I would recommend Vertex to anyone!

I just had a roof installed this week. I will say that you can hire any contractor. Once you sign a contract do you still have great communication. That is the key to a great Contracters.
Brian Balent was my initial contact. On time and prompt coming out for estimate. I had the price in 24 hours not days. Had a supervisor at my home during the entire process. Can t say enough about how that makes you at ease.
I have a huge roof but the crew they had was huge too. They finished in 3 days. That really puts you at ease. As for the crew never left a mess. They had 2 people on the ground picking up. Had everything covered that needed covered and they were wonderful.
Oh by the way the office calls to let you know in advance when delivering materials or someone is coming out.
I ll end the review by saying you can hire anyone but I highly recommend these guys

We were quite pleased with the level of service. They completed the job timely and took great care in not damaging our garden beds. They cleaned each day after finishing and did a thorough clean once the job was complete. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Vertex did roofing installation for our home in May of 2019. They were subcontractors to Lowes. I would highly recommend you read our entire experience before you decide.

In over 15 years as a homeowner, I have never ever dealt with a company that has done as poor a job, and has been as unresponsive at fixing the issues as Vertex. Not to mention the lack of professionalism of the crew.

Issues along the timeline (from when they started installing)
1) They provided no warning to us, and did not inform us in any way that we should remove anything from around the house. Our patio, our son's toys, entire yard were covered with deadly roofing nails. Had they warned us, we would have taken appropriate precautions. The nails fell inside our brand new HVAC unit and damaged the fan blades. When I talked to the supervisor about all of this -- they took no responsibility whatsoever. To make matters worse -- he laughed -- imagine this -- he laughed!! and said "what did you expect??". As if we go around getting roofing done on a regular basis. Then later, only after I complained to Lowes, they said -- they would sweep the entire yard. After they had swept, I stepped on a nail and so I had to complain again and only then did they sweep again. (see pictures of the damage and the litter of deadly nails)

2) Damage to property:
They dropped roofing materials from height on to our brand new HVAC and caused damage (see pictures). They dropped nails damaged the fan of the HVAC unit (see pictures).
They smashed into our garage door trim. It was only because we saw it happen did they accept that they had done that. (see pictures)
They stepped on the gutters and damaged the gutter covers (less than a year old). They did not tell us -- I discovered this when I got up there to put the christmas lights. I am sure there is damage to gutters higher up, but have not been able to get up there and see for myself.

3) Damage to roof and ceiling:
They did not cover the roof properly when they left on day 1, and there was a rainstorm. We had huge leaks into our bedroom and into our bathroom. With water dripping. When we told them -- they said they would fix it all after roofing was done -- nope, we are still waiting on it after 1 year!! They have not either inspected the insulation that got all wet, nor inspected the inside of the roof for additional damage to the boards.

4) Shoddy job:
They were supposed to remove all rotten boards. While they were doing it, they covered up board over the garage whose edge looked rotten. I showed them the picture and they dismissed it. Later we discovered additional boards in attic of the garage that from inside we could see rot from water. We told them -- and they said "we did not see rot from above" -- what??? that does not make any sense!!

5) Total lack of professionalism:
We tried to reach them again today before the 1 year labor warranty runs out. They said -- they had come once and no one was home. Complete lies! Who shows up at a resident's house without taking appointment?? Or never calls? They had my cell phone number and did not call either. Even now they are unwilling to take any responsibility to address the issues, or address all the damage to our property they caused.

I have refrained from leaving a review for this company only because I do not like causing damage to small business. I have always found that through conversation problems are addressed to our satisfaction.
However, after almost a year -- I believe that by not sharing, it would be a great disservice to potential customers if they suffer the same fate as us.

Be warned from our experience -- and shop around to get better and more professional roofing installers.
