Understaffed but fun. It's all on a hill. was awful because I'm out of shape but awesome because I'm out of shape but it's super hard to do in flip flops regardless. Rides were fun had a simplicity that appealed to me. It's also very shady, which meant can get cold faster than in the sun but honestly I also liked that (especially as I wasn't actually cold)
The mountain coaster was great and the cable car was free with admission to water park.

Worst ski experience of my life. Waited 3 hours to get rentals. They ran out of rentals and oversold tickets. No one seemed sorry at all. Would love a refund but doubt they re that worried about customer satisfaction. Worst organization I ve ever experienced in my life. Bathrooms were disgusting. Couldn t even provide pens to fill out information. Honestly go anywhere else

Great local place. Left Port Jefferson at 6 am, and got there by 7:40am. Very nice accommodations, and a great beginner- advanced mountain. Unless you prefer skiing Double Blacks all day, this is a great resort, not a long drive, and you'll have a great time. Stay at the Appalachian hotel, its right at the base of the lifts. They even have night skiing until 9 pm.

Best water park!!! The rides are not traditional slides because it is built on a mountain. I went on a Friday and the lines were 0-5mins which is great!! Super fun!! But not the best place for kids because the fun rides are kinda dangerous. I had a great time and I'm definitely coming back!

Here is a place that can be phenomenal but does not maximize all its facilities. If you are solely interested in skiing this place is OK. However, this place can do so much more. It has numerous empty shops that could enliven the place. They have a coffee shop that is an after thought that could be a great meeting spot. They don't have restaurants. It seems that the assume everybody is always on the slopes. I would go there just for the items I suggested if given the opportunity. Now I just pass by.

If you can get a discount on admission, then I'd say it's very worth it. For full price of $45.99 I'd expect more water rides. Avoid walking barefoot at the park. The walkways are very rough and should be smoothed out. You will set yourself up for torture walking barefoot because there are a lot of rocks and pebbles that you will step on. So buy water socks or wear your sneakers to each water ride and store them at the entrance of each ride. I was lucky enough to buy my tickets for $23.99 so I don't feel like I lost much. Not too many slides. The food is overly expensive as is expected from a theme park. You are better off having your lunch in your car to save money as you can enter and exit the park as you wish. When Mountain Creek first opened up it was the place to go. But now, it's not on top of my list of things to do. I took the kids, they seemed to enjoy it.

I've always been a big fan of Mountain Creek. It's the best mountain within a 2 hour drive of NYC. It's not as big as Bromley or Stratton but it's also not a 4 hour drive. It's probably comparable in size to Magic Mt. Not as gall or steap as Hunter. They do have good jumps and terrain parks. One small issue is it's easy to get stuck on the south side but that's just a matter of paying attention to the map. I also wish the main Vernon lift was seated rather than standing. I do give them credit for updating their pass system, the self scanning gates make things move quickly. All and all a good mountain near the city. It's also on the Max Pass which I buy every season.

Fun ski resort. The worker on the mountain was very attentive and taught us the basics. He was also very encouraging.

This was my first time going so I kept falling but had a great time because of the light hearted atmosphere created by the workers and visitors.

As a big skier myself, I honestly wasn't expecting much when I first came here as NJ skiing is usually not the best, but Mountain Creek surprised me. So no, not as good as Vermont, Utah, Colorado, etc. but very good for what it is.

I used to go to Mountain Creek every ski season and enjoy the place for the past few years. This season I bought 2 triple-play card for each, myself and two kids (6 cards in total). We were able to use the cards for couple of times but then, unfortunately, I was injured and was not able to use the other three cards at all. I called the place and asked them to get a credit so I could get new cards for next season instead of these cards. They didn't agree. Please be aware and don't purchase more than one card in advance. I'm disappointed by them for being so stiff and unwilling.

First time snowboarding here. It was a little early in the season but there wasn t much powder. I m giving it 3 stars for the cost. I didn t plan on boarding so I didn t have snow pants. Rental was about 60 ish dollars for pants which is absolutely outrageous. Apart from that. I had a good time. There had an awesome green from the peak. Shouldn t go on weekends like any other resort, place gets packed packed

I can appreciate being cautious because of covid but this place did a HORRIBLE job communicating their lack of service and amenities upon check in. No housekeeping, no towels in our room, nothing to eat on or with in the kitchen, no chairs at the pool, no towels at the pool, nothing! This was the worst experience I have ever had. We went to Ocean City last month and it was amazing. I m so mad we booked this trip

Can be very busy and we arranged ski lessons for our children in December and if we are honest, we think that our children regressed after those lessons - though we assume the disorganization of the ski lessons and the quality of the lesson itself was down to it being early in the season and the staff had yet to get in to the routine.

Mountain Creek can take care of all of your needs including gear rental, though it feels very much like a factory line at times.

I have been to Mountain Creek during the summer when only the water park is around.... The rides are very fun and creative. The only downside this place can have is that there is quite a walk between each ride. But overall quite a solid trip... BRING Sunscreen

The WORST experience I ever had.

The WORST experience I ever had.
The website must ve been created twenty years ago (No shopping cart). The Snow-Tubing sessions are listed as a two-hour Session with either sold-out or how many available spots left. There is no shopping cart, which means that you have to buy one item at a time. For example, you buy Ski Lift tickets and must finish paying for them before buying any other item. I have 3 children, after I paid for an-ALL-DAY Ski tickets for myself and 2 kids I attempted to purchase the Snow-Tubing tickets for my Five-year old daughter and my wife, the website showed that there were 13 available tickets for a specific session but when I clicked on the button to purchase the next screen said that they were sold out, the same happened with other available sessions. I realized that there website is not up to date and not setup properly. Then I was STUCK, I can t go skiing without my wife and daughter. And I can t cancel the purchases. By the way, all the time spent purchasing the tickets on line and on the phone was a waste of time

I called to speak to a sales person to either have them sell me the Snow-Tubing tickets or cancel the purchases and not go. A very rude woman gets on the phone TELLING me that all sales are final no matter what, and the Snow-Tubing sessions have been sold out for a week. I know that I am not a psychic, so I put my foot down I gave her the two choices. After a bit of arguing, she agreed to sell me tickets for the Snow-Tubing.

My Family and I drove for an hour to get there; we arrive in front of the main building (North Building) at 12:30pm, There was a huge amount of traffic, bumper to bumper, to find no parking available, the Cops kept forcing us to go straight to the next parking lot where other Cops made us continue down the street to more Cops pushing us into a circle repeating the same process. Finally I realized that I must park on the side of a public street otherwise I would never get in. So we ended up parking a quarter of a mile down from the South building. We walked to the South building and walked in looking for help. There are no Signs, no Info Booth; it is now 1:30pm, all I saw was a very long line. Since there wasn t any staff to help I asked the people on the line for help, I was told that I also should get on the line to obtain the Passes and rentals. Over an hour passes to get to the sales person that tells me that I have just wasted another hour and 10 minutes (2:40pm), I should have went to the North building a mile down the road. To get to the North building you must get on a bus, thank God the same bus took my wife and little daughter to the Snow-Tubing. So my two kids and I arrived to the North Building (3:05pm) where we are told that we need to get on line to buy the lift passes and rentals, I will shorten the story a bit, we got on several lines, Check-in line, Ski Passes line, Boots Line, Skies line, poles line and finally stepped on the snow at around 4:30pm. We were tired from standing in line, hungry, thirsty.
(6:35pm) my wife calls and tells me that there is no more Snow-Tubing. Now we decided to go home. All rented equipment has to be returned because if they are not I would have to pay $300 per set. Walked to the drop off area for the skies and polls outside (Huge sign that says Skies/Polls Returns), the young man tells me that they no longer take them back outside and I should go downstairs inside and return them with the boots and helmets. I go on line to return the equipment where it says Boots and Helmets returns. 15 minutes later I am told that only boots and helmets are returned at that location and I have to go to another location to return the skies and polls. Here we go again, another 15 minutes wasted.
(7:40pm) we arrive to the South building and reunite with the rest of the family and head back to our car.
Please if you are thinking about going to Mountain Creek stop. Save your money and time. The amount of money I spent was over $500 to wait on line for FIVE hours and play for TWO hours.

Spent over two hours waiting in 5 different lines for our rental equipment even after buying tickets/rental ahead of time electronically. Trails were reasonably maintained considering the high temperatures for the day. Resort was crowded to the point of a traffic jam on the trails. Witnessed one bad collision that ended with people on stretchers as a result of the overcrowding. As a beginner skier I really wanted to like it here but sadly I will not be returning.

The roads are Rocky and if u don't were shoes when walking around you can get blisters on your feet, some parts have "stairs" that are literally just carved bolders which are uneven and easy to loose your footing on. The body slides hurt and on one of the rides you have to wear a football helmet because if not you would probably get a concussion. But if you like horrible water parks have fun!

I forgot my phone so I didn't get any pictures and I did like some of the water slides which is why I didn't give it one star.

First visit as our skiing twins wanted to try it. Pretty bad conditions...a slush fest with ground appearing in spots. Very nice lodge but did not try any food. Have own equipment so not sure what rental process is like. Nice gas fire on the patio. Free parking is a bit of a hike to the ticket window and lodge. Overall impression was that the layout felt a bit disjointed with lifts being so far apart from each other.

They issue scan cards that you just put in a pocket on your left side of your body And it scans as you walk through entrance to lift. Weird at first but worked well.

The slopes were good, wide variety of difficulties for a smaller mountain. Was a little frustrated with the front desk, they wouldn't allow my son into their group lessons because he was too young, despite that he had been in their group lessons before and was at a skill level higher than most of their other kids.

We had a good time for the most part but there were some unruly guests who kept going down when they should not have been which made it dangerous for other people tubing. The staff tried to correct the situation but unfortunately they we're unable to. It would have been nice if they asked the rude guests to leave after they repeatedly kept breaking the rules.
