Definitely up in the Mountains, clean air, gorgeous scenery. Resort and spa too but went for a wedding. Beautiful venue, especially lit up at night, staff very attentive and friendly. Everyone had a great time with lots of dancing. There was a Bonfire night happening the same night. I would have loved to check it out as well as the spa area which I've heard is wonderful too. Beautiful grounds, plenty of parking, highly recommend!

Great for mountain biking and if you need to purchase gear it is priced fairly. Food is a little expensive and only offer outside seating. Due to it being wedding season. Which is why it's only 4 stars.

Grew up here... it's had it's ups and downs but you will not beat this place as far as terrain on a powder day within a 3 hour radius... granted that leaves a small number of places but the powder shreds better than boulder

A fun day but seems like the park is going downhill. Some rides have shut down. There weren't enough tubes. Bees all over the place when you sit and eat because the garbages were overflowing and tables weren't clean. The wave pool didn't run for long at all and there weren't many waves..not like I remember it being in past years. Mountain coaster has apparently been broken for 2 years and they haven't repaired it.

Skiing is fine, but the snow tubing is just waste of time and money. Very upsetting to stay in line waiting for the bus, and then waiting for an hour for only one chance to go down. Overall it took us 5 hours for only 15 seconds of fun :(

Worked here over the summer as a ticket salesperson for the waterpark and I must say everyone I ve met here was very friendly and a pleasure to work with. I also go skiing here with family during the winter and it s a great small resort for having a lot of fun.

Bought a season pass to go snowboarding at the resort (just started learning a week ago), and everytime I go back, I'm more sure that I made the right decision. The staff and instructors are phenomenal, and people are generally pretty friendly/easy going. It does get busy, but so does everywhere else at times. The way I see it, the pass was worth every penny.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME - we've been going to this place for years (when it was once called Action Park), and it's just not what it used to be. In short, they are over-charging for less and less fun. Tarzan ride (my fave and only reason I went here) has been removed, and so has the twin-cannon ride just beside it...I guess the park got sued and they decided to continue overcharging for way less fun. The park is now also filled with 'characters' that don't care about the language they use or the stuff they smoke on premise in front of children at a FAMILY PLACE. Also, the beef tacos are disgusting, do not eat.
So in short - the food sucks, tickets are way overpriced, the crowd is classless, lines are long...and anyone leaving a positive review has apparently never been to a decent water park.

Good place well maintained Ice and the surrounding, however tickets are very costly. Usually Saturday and Sunday s too crowded so plan before as gears sometimes become unavailable due to high demand.

The gondola is great for beginner snowboarders as you can walk off without skating off the lift.

The runs are also pretty long considering the size of the mountain and proximity to the city. The man made snow was also pretty decent given the mid 30s temperature.

However the lodge is really jammed and filled with people who aren t even eating. It s hard to find a spot to have lunch.

Overall, highly recommended as a ski hill about an hour from NYC.

Jared bartender from upstairs has a terrible attitude and energy. We asked the guy for a shot ski (group of 4) he heard us answered sure never got it for us..kept ignoring us (wasn t busy) and when we finally made eye contact he said he was doing something else and he d get back to us . Mind you he didn t look like he knew what he was doing behind the bar to begin with. So I canceled the shot ski and closed out the check. I mean that s just great for business isn t it. Thanks for the shot ski Jared !

I guess I crashed but the official story will be that fought off a bear. I would have given 5 stars if I didn't crash

If you like parking a mile away and then standing in line for an hour and still aren t even close to getting a rental, this is the place for you! Me? I ll go to one of other area mountains where you don t feel like a cow next time.

Went on a Friday which was great. Not alot of people and good amount of snow. On Saturday the Mountian transformed. Way too many people to have fun. The cabriolet lift pumps so many people onto the easy trails. Would recommend going weekdays.

Bring water shoes!! I can t stress this enough, I wore flip flops and they are not suitable for the terrain of this park! Went up here Sunday 4th July weekend, wasn t crazily busy and not too long of waiting times for the rides. Reasonable priced drinks, we got loaded nachos and beef tacos which were good! I rolled my ankle walking up a hill and the life guards were very accommodating in waiting with me til an ice pack arrived. Adult day pass is $45, season pass is $65 (or somewhere around that price!) we got the season pass as it s better value as we ll be back again! Make sure to do the sky car as it s free to go on after your long day on the rides! Docking one star as the toilet facilities (as mentioned in previous reviews) were not comfortable and clean to use.

For a local ski area they do there best. Weather does not always cooperate. During the week lines are usually minimal. Been coming here for thirty years and they have have definitely improved it recently. The food options need improvement.

On Saturday, October 14th, my husband and I and two friends stayed in a town home within the Black Creek Sanctuary. Fifteen minutes after checking out, I realized I had left my hair straightener and my curling iron. I contacted the resort and was told that the items would be collected and mailed to me. We provided our credit card information and emailed our address. On our credit card bill, we were charged $7 by Mountain Creek which I assumed was for the shipping label.

After two weeks of not yet receiving the items, I began calling the resort. I received a voicemail on October 21st from a woman named Robin informing me that the items had been mailed and she did not have a tracking number to provide me at that moment. I called Robin a minimum of five times and left numerous messages on her voicemail and with requesting the tracking number so I could determine where my belongings were.

For a month my calls and messages have been ignored until Jean in house-keeping had the courtesy to speak with me this weekend. It had been over a month and I still did not have my items. I was encouraged by Jean " to ask Santa for new ones" should I not successfully receive my belongings. Completely inappropriate and condescending.

I was surprised to receive a package YESTERDAY with a postage of NOVEMBER 14TH. A simple call informing me that the hotel had my belongings and would be mailing them as soon as possible would have sufficed. Not only was I lied to initially, I have been disrespected and ignored continuously this entire month. The lack of regard for my personal items and the poor level of customer service throughout this process was despicable. I am completely and utterly disgusted with this hotel.

Had a lot of fun. Sit still when you on the shuttle, and be prepared you have to wait for long time for the shuttle during busy hour, because they only have 1 shuttle bus. Bring deep wood repellent spray if you didn't plan to feed the mosquitoes.

Ran out of everything, only found after we paid. Paid for unlimited snowboarding and skiing but found out they only allowed to switch once after other friends could found right sizebof shoes and they ran out of poles the whole day

Been going here to snowboard since the mid '80s as someone who grew up local to the area. It is NJ, so it's not like Lake Placid, but it's the best in the area for quick trips. And if u can ski or board on our sheets of ice and granular groomed surfaces, you can do it anywhere. Mid week early arrival and early evening departure will get u enough runs in to satisfy your itch to carve.

Worst place ever! Very disorganized. We waited 3h in line to get an equipment rental! They don t have enough staff and definitely are not prepared for the public! They don t care about the people and the waiting. The food court looks disgusting, people seating all around on the floor, it s insane!
I will NEVER come back!
If you have any other option, never come here!

Went snowboarding for my first time here. Took a lesson that was quite underwhelming and the jump from the little lesson slopes to the next biggest is quite a jump. The computer system in the lodge went down and we couldn't order anything which was a bit of a bummer. I'll be back here to do some more falling on my butt.

They let waay too many people (of which most are beginners who cannot control themselves) on the limited open trails. It is a danger to life and limb. The day I was there I saw at least 3 ambulances ferrying people off the slopes and who knows how many got injured in more minor crashes. Stay away on weekends/holidays. Otherwise, a decent enough hill if there is enough snow/you come midweek.

The skiing here is fine, but the mountain is definitely not big enough for the amount of skiers and snowboarders. Once it hits noon the lines for lifts are long and it becomes very crowded on the slopes. Rental process is a pain - very long line and have to watch a video first, and then more long lines to purchase rentals, another line to fill out the same form you had to fill out virtually, another line to get your boots, and then your helmet, and then your skis, and then poles. Whole rental process took an hour and a half at 9:30 am.

Super Fun - Super Fast - definitely for the younger crowd ... I had enough after three runs, the end of the tubing ride is like a controlled car accident.. HINT - elevate your butt, so that you protect your tailbone

Great . We were at there newest hotel in crystal spring and decided to look at their very first hotel and beautiful. Indoor tennis , large workout space, basketball big pool. Much more toward fitness where the second resort is more toward children with a water slide in the pool. Outdoor pool and ping pong I would definitely return to either one. Worth the 2 hr ride from NY for sure.

Everything the others say is accurate. It's fun, but it still has the dangerous feel of the old Action Park days. It's fun, but it is for older kids, teens, and adults. A parent with younger children will find themselves with not much to do. It's fun, but you will probably have sore feet from walking on hard gravel. Yes, bring water shoes or strong flip flops that can slip over the hands on the rides. Yes, the bathrooms are gross. They won't let you bring food. The barbecue place has the best food. Save time by buying tickets online. It is faster because you sign the waiver online. If you go Groupon, you still need to get in line at the ticket desk to sign waivers. I sprang for the preferred parking. It is 20 bucks, but worth it. We had a great time, but we will probably check out other water parks before coming back.

Tough to rate it accurately since I was injured on the tube ride. Management should have shut it down before I got banged up or that poor 10 year old got a tooth knocked out. But then again the "supervisor" was barely 20 yrs old and couldn't make a decision. But it's a nice place regardless. Decent mountain for a NJ resort. I'd rather be here than the American Dream indoor facility - at least this time of year. They need better communication among employees in general, no one was on the same page. I'd probably go to PA/Poconos to ski before MC, but wouldn't rule it out completely.

I love this place. Sure it is quite small and get crowded on weekends, but it is really close to NYC and one can ski from 9am to 10pm. Ski slopes are lit and it get quiet after sundown. You get the slopes all to yourself.

My kids went snow tubing here. They won't let you park in the parking lot right next to the tubing. There was also a parking lot right across the street but nope they have it closed for no reason and you can't park there either. So you have to go to the Lodge and wait for a shuttle just to go snow tubing and waste a bunch of time in the process.

Honestly upset at this park only got to go on one ride lines were super long I have to wait and hour in a line to only get on one ride before park closed, they closed the park for 1 hour and 30 mins and didn t want to give a refund or and accommodations. The lady in customer service was so rude to us. Never again I won t be going here anymore.

I ve been coming here every year since I was little girl , and I ve loved it . I would ve given it a 5/5 any day . However the last time I went I realized they closed the 2 best rides at the park which is why I drove 2 hours to get here . Tarzan and the cliff jump we re both closed. I was very disappointed and most likely won t be coming back unfortunately. It s sad bc I ve looked forward to coming every year.

$85 per person on a Monday in March? Seriously? Takes 20 minutes to fill out the information on an iPad while 5 girls sit behind the counter doing nothing. Go to the cafeteria for a cheeseburger, Salad and Coconut water. How much you ask? $36.00. Mountain Creek is known to be the Mc Donald s of ski resorts. Why you charging Vail prices? Get with it!! -5
