A lot to teach and just as much that is fun. It just has something special for everyone. A day goes by in no time. Is for big and small. Children can let off steam like their parents.

Actually well done, informative, interactive ... But an absolute no-go that after the steep admission price there are always offers that are subject to a fee and have to be paid extra. Also incomprehensible that the snack cart can only be paid for in cash .... Not recommended for a family outing, unless an Asian family is on a trip to Europe because the offer has been optimized for this very purpose. Despite opening times until 6 p.m., some attractions close at 3 p.m. ... a shame. That doesn't go well for long ...
Love this place and chocolate tour too..but don't take all the passes
Great partly interactive museum for young and old in which you can spend a lot of time outside and inside. Restaurant available. Located right on the beautiful Lake Lucerne.
I love going there, was always there as a child with my grandparents, is like coming home
The flight and driving simulators are really great
However, as expected, everything you can buy is very expensive
One of the best prepared place ever!
The best option ist but all day ticket and come in the morning time.
For 100% worth to see
Fantastic place for kids teens adults, and staff is very friendly helpful. I can be there for all day!
Worth a day trip, especially on a rainy day with children. Lots of interactive activities.
Fantastic place, interactive, dynamic, perfect for family
Fantastic museum. Full of interactive displays and very friendly and helpful staff. A great way to spend a day
Very nice museum. The exhibits are not always outstanding and unique, but the presentation is successful and the hands-free outdoor area for children is great (annoying was only that my daughter was sent away at one station, although actually only another child turned listless and the caregiver rather bored).
Exellent museum. Too big to visit in one day. Only donwside it that you have to pay extra for many attractions like the small train kids love to go on etc..
Newly furnished, modernized. Great for the whole family
This should be a MUST VISIT museum if you are interested in all sorts of transportation. The staff are extremely friendly and the exhibits excellent. It might be a bit overpriced but it is Switzerland so.... But still you have to consider this place if you are nearby.
Certainly worth a visit with kids from 6 years. Unfortunately not very interactive.
A fantastic experience. A whole day for kids with an amazing variety of scaled down, hands on exhibits. The cafeteria is quite good and relatively affordable (at least for Switzerland). Flight simulators, tons of interactive exhibits, cool cars, planes, trains. Super cool. Don't miss it.
Fabulous exhibition! Many impressions and childhood memories which were awakened by the competent guidance. Any time!
Very great destination for the whole family! Unfortunately, quite expensive entry (but pays off)
Must visit to get to see lots of locomotives models at one place.
Very descriptive description of the tunnel construction. Chic 3d cinema. The animations were very appealing.
Super museum. Very interesting. Plan the day to visit without stress and see everything.
The chocolate tour was amazing with the kids loving it. The transport museum was quite interactive as well the media world
Magnificent ! Too expensive for a family budget, but it's always a pleasure to return.
Great! Be careful of the crowds on certain holidays, bank holidays, etc.
A must visit in lucerne with kids....we took a boat ride to the museum which itself was an experience over the beautiful lake. The museum has lots of fun and interesting activities for kids.
Well, what can I say? The Verkehrshaus is certainly very cool for children, especially the outdoor area. And the whole topic is actually very exciting. But still many things bothered me; most attractions cannot be operated at the moment or you had to visit them with a mask. The "Chocolate Adventure" was very cool and informative, but 16.- only for that is a bit exaggerated (luckily we had the day pass). The planetarium was very nice, unfortunately I had a child behind me who asked her father every 10 seconds what had happened or what was on the screen. In the end it started to cry. That really annoyed me, but the Verkehrshaus can't help it. But maybe you could bring the parent and child out while crying.
A wonderful educational day with the children ages 4-12. Fantastic decor. Living history presented with imagination.
In one word: amazing!
A professional plane and helicopter simulator that will shake your whole body. Starts very interesting and only rises from there.
A must visit !!! For adults no less than children.
Worth every franc. A great pastime for a good few hours.
The best museum ever for children!! It was the highlight of our vacation in Switzerland! Our children loved everything this museum had to offer. It is best enjoyed on a day when it is not raining so you can enjoy all of the outdoor activities. Plan to spend a whole day here!!
A family event to discover and marvel at for young and old
The food is unfortunately not top. The best thing about schnitzel pommes are the fries. Meat unfortunately dry cooked. I have to say for the price I expected more. Had foreign guests and why do not give anything in Russian? Why do not you make headphones with the appropriate languages in the cars? Three have pushed French, so everything was French. At Lind Schockolade is great and sweet but I expected more. For tourism uninteresting and for children, only in the end Good. Namely when there is chocolate. So that's ok, but not an experience.
Great fun with the kids, needs some shade out the back on a sunny day though
This museum is one of the coolest museums I've been to. It has tons of hands on exhibits, lots of things for kids and adults. Its definitely something you can go to more than once.
I love this museum retracing the history of transport of all kinds in Switzerland. Lets see some vehicles in size and even go inside. Interactive games for children. A day is not necessarily enough to see everything. A plus: updated topics, this museum is not limited to staying frozen on an era.
Honestly one of the best museums I have been to my whole life.
The Verkehrshaus is something for everyone. No matter what age. Exciting and informative. And always new.
Like everything in Switzerland but expensive. 1 day with family incl. Arrival, entrance, food, etc. is fast at 300.-
could do more new things, partly the same for years ...
Super interesting, both for adults and children ... A must
Very comprehensive museum with lots of interactive exhibits. Good for all ages with information on history for adults and many hands on activities for kids. They even have a miniature operational boat navigation lock.
Wow. Great experience.
On the lake of lucerne there is the most detailed and well thought museum which is actually also great adventure park of all kind of transportation methods from the beginning of times until now. Trains, cars, submarines, spaceships, airplanes and a lot more.
Take the whole day for this place.
Great for the whole family.
A good excursion when in Lucerne area, fun stuff to do - the chocolate tour is sweat!
Very interesting and allows to spend a pleasant day
Amazing museum with very nice staff, interactive exposition including simulation of the building outside, barrier-free exposition and in addition there is a Chocolate Museum with tasting ..
In a word, amazing
Visited this museum and it really is very vast and has so much information about past present and future transport system. Do spend some time here when in Switzerland and will leave you with a good experience
Corona is there too, shame div attractions were not available prices too high at the moment
The museum is not exciting for a kid except the train part! In contrast to the planetarium and the 3d movie on the giant screen was great !! Especially the planetarium! The staff is super nice and friendly!
Nice place for kids to release their energy. Also good for adults to learn new stuff. Just so expensive
Really interesting museum. Great selection of exhibits for the various modes of transportation.
as of January 1, 2018:
Maybe, but maybe not. And maybe there is someone better than you!
Huge attractions but very expensive in the entrance but for a visit for young and old it is worth it.
