The Verkehrshaus has been offering the same thing in the basic exhibition for years and yet it is a world in which I immerse myself with my child every time to discover new worlds. And that the basic exhibition is always the same awakens feelings from my childhood when I visited the Verkehrshaus with my family. Somehow I feel like a child again in the Verkehrshaus and can jump on trains, sit in fast cars, play around in an airplane cockpit and look down in a gondola through the transparent floor ...... What is crazy is that there is much more to discover and I am always surprised anew. Thanks Verkehrshaus! And by the way, the supervisory staff is very friendly and courteous!

Lovely museum, also with children. A whole day is easily spent.

Such a great museum! If you are in Lucerne, you have to go in, no matter what age. There is so much to discover and you should take a day or two with you.
Starting with the different areas such as flight, train, space etc .. great, great, great!
There are so many exhibits that you can discover interactively. For example, create his own weather show, VR glasses, rail travel, etc.



There is also a Planitarium, which alone is worth a visit .. totally well done.

The cinema and the films ... so well done.

If I could I would give 10 stars!

The only thing is the price, but that is fair in the offer.

The Verkehrshaus is very interesting and you should definitely plan enough time. Possibly. even split into two visits. The collection is impressive and a visit is highly recommended.

A museum for big but also the little ones. My grandchildren (5 and 4) find the site particularly great.

Worth every penny of admission. It is best to plan a whole day for the visit.

Great opportunity to have fun with the family and to "learn" a lot about the traffic system and its development. Lots of active fun for the children and lots of interesting things for the adults.

The Verkehrshaus is lovingly designed and equipped with many interactions (reaction test, children's carousel, children's train, large model train, boating, and much more) for young and old.
Even for non-technology enthusiasts like me;), it's worth it.

The only criticism is that the construction site playground does not offer any shade and the dwarves play in the blazing sun.

We will definitely go back!

Very exciting and versatile for a first visit, unfortunately the program has not changed much over the years and the prices for entry and food are exaggerated. I as Lucerne don't go there anymore ..

Great place to spend a day with the kids! Like the country of railroads, the railway building is impressive, and simulations that make it possible to drive trains were popular.

A fun for young and old, whether as a family or with friends here everyone comes to his enjoyment. Always nice to visit.

Historical Museum of Lucerne, very suitable for children given the many games ... not exactly cheap, but aligned with the prices of the area

Amazing Experience. Must visit. Keep aside at least four hours if you are a transport buff. Recommended for all age groups. You do get a discount if you have a Swiss Travel Pass.

Fantastic fun place that has everything possible in transport such as trains, cars, boats and aircraft.
There is also a great deal for children to play with as simulators and machines to play with. Highly recommend a visit.

Easy to reach by public transport. To visit it in full, I recommend calculating a full day. Inside the structure there is a restaurant. In the museum it is possible to see and touch many vehicles and means of transport from all eras. New unmissable Rega exhibition stand, with a real helicopter !!!
Absolutely to visit at any age.

It was just so much better in the past.
You could record your own TV programs, morse code, send mail for hours. Today everything is multimedia and heavily cropped. In the past, our family wanted to go to the Verkehrshaus almost every few months, but nowadays you only go once every 2-3 years. The only thing that was still fun for the children was the "scooter ride" between the buildings somehow a shame.

Excellent!!! It is worth visiting, a walk for the whole family since it has everything, beyond the museum itself, it has many very interesting activities for both adults and children. Flight simulators, games and many amazing things. It is recommended to go with a long time since it is very large.

Great museum with so much to do that it's not possible to complete in a single day even without spending time watching the various shows and experiences. Plenty of interactive displays gives kids plenty to keep them busy. Largest IMAX screen in the country is also a worthwhile attraction to visit. There are also regular extra exhibitions to keep things new.

It's a really interesting place and it's big. Be prepared to spend whole day inside. Don't forget the Swiss chocolate adventure for those chocolate lovers.

The quality and range of displays of so many different vehicles was amazing, also very child friendly with lots of free activities to keep children occupied, even a working model train for them to ride on, would highly recommend this place when visiting Switzerland!

Excellent museum, one of the best I have visited but restaurant is a scam (4.50 CHF for a small and tasteless coffee and gourmet meals for the exorbitant price).

Very much to see. If you are not a kiddy friend you have to know that there are always many families with kids. Unfortunately planetarium can not look at because of the crowd.

Best museum I have ever visited. So much effort in exhibiting various things related to transport. Many interactive exhibits too. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nice interesting museum visit with many vehicles and sights. And another beautiful nature film seen in 3D had to have a separate ticket.

Planetarium is worth a visit

Only for children. The ticket prices are expensive. The chocolate ride costs extra. Not worth the time. Better spend gazing the splendid mountains.

I have known this museum for 50 years! It is still just as wonderful. I hope I can still go there often.

Very nice museum with many interactive exhibits. The 3D cinema is also a good recommendation. If there is a film you are interested in, I would check the internet beforehand to see when it will be shown.
What really fascinated me was the exhibition on the Gotthard Tunnel.

Always recommended for a visit with the kids. The exhibition is extremely versatile and big. Whether it's cars, trains or planes, there's something exciting for everyone. The food in the restaurant was ok. Nice is also the environment on the lake.

The collection of railway vehicles is very beautiful and diverse. Unfortunately they have not organized the layout of the vehicles very well and some areas are really crowded. I enjoyed passing under a steamer, through the passage in an inspection pit. The aeronautical pavilion is interesting. Particular is the choice of the method of exhibiting the car collection, even if the latter is quite limited and lacking in interesting means. The thing that struck me the most is the cost of the ticket, disproportionate when compared to other museums of the same kind. The museum is located by the lake in a beautiful location. Easy to reach by rail

For big and small, even in bad weather. Unfortunately, one day is not enough to see all good / interesting / beautiful things. Parking spaces quickly fill up, and when they close you are stuck in a traffic jam.
