You have a beautiful history of course. Recently I have noticed that you are not really REALLY selling delicious things. Although I do not know your total range, but I am not exactly convinced. Example: a colleague offers me the Nizza caramel sea salt ... it tastes anything but that taste. Your chocolate bars don't have the status of tastiest bars with me either. At the moment I'm going for Tony (caramel sea salt) ... But ... just when you come up with a stunner where the real feast monkey can go, then you have me too. Your brand and name is great, so that is going well. Now something that is really tasty.

We have been using Sultana 'Good Morning' in our household for quite some time and the 'normal' Sultanas for much longer, both products are highly appreciated and consumed by us.
What I find very disappointing about the Good Morning is the generous, empty, expensive and useless packaging of this product, since when the box is opened it is only half filled. In my view, senseless waste of cardboard and material. I expected a more mature and more sophisticated packaging from Verkade and above all a more environmentally conscious design, in 2015, we have very good designers and smart guys in the business in the Netherlands. This package came to my mind on Friday afternoon in an origami session in the staff canteen. Moreover, this packaging is also quite misleading in terms of quantity of goods, certainly in comparison with the pure simplicity of the ordinary Sultanas
"There is also beauty in simplicity" .. and avoided simplicity is a source of problems.
With kind regards, B.van der Meyde

Received as a nice gift, two packs of sprits, normal and with milk chocolate.
A while ago I had tasted it. Did not know what happened to me, neither to eat. The old taste completely disappeared, thin cookies with a bad taste. Soooo sorry. And not just me, even though my five colleagues agreed with me.

Verkade: Discovering the World-Famous Dutch Heritage

Are you ready to explore the world-famous Dutch heritage? Verkade is a company that takes you on a journey through Holland's iconic windmills, industries, and green wooden houses. With over 130 years of experience in creating delicious biscuits and chocolates, Verkade has become a household name in the Netherlands.

History of Verkade

The story of Verkade began in 1886 when Ericus Gerhardus Verkade started his bakery in Zaandam. He was passionate about baking and wanted to create something unique that would stand out from other bakeries. His vision was to make biscuits that were not only tasty but also healthy for people.

Ericus's son, Ericus Johannes Verkade, joined the business and expanded it by introducing new products such as chocolate bars and wafers. The company grew rapidly, and by 1900, it had become one of the largest biscuit manufacturers in Europe.

Innovation at its Best

Verkade has always been at the forefront of innovation when it comes to creating new products. In 1911, they introduced their famous "Maria" biscuit which became an instant hit among consumers. They also launched their first chocolate bar called "Chocolaad" which was made with high-quality cocoa beans imported from Ghana.

Over time, Verkade continued to innovate by introducing new flavors such as caramel sea salt biscuits and dark chocolate with orange peel. They also started using sustainable ingredients like UTZ-certified cocoa beans for their chocolates.

Quality Assurance

At Verkade quality is paramount; they ensure that all their products are made with high-quality ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers worldwide. Their production process is closely monitored to ensure consistency in taste and texture across all their products.
