Venture Logistics Review

I have been driving for 12 years. I don t understand how you can have a good driver in a brand new truck that as a company you have to account for, sitting for days!! It makes no sense. My driver manager Dave Shipley has been the best but they don t allow him to keep his drivers moving. They promised me OTR work but the work is basically local work!! Just makes no sense!!

On Wednesday September 19,2019, while driving in the right lane on I74 W, just beyond the Northbend Rd exit, one of Ventures drivers pulled out from behind another semi cutting my granddaughters car off while she was driving in the center lane. Trying her best to avoid having her car end up underneath Ventures truck she was forced into the grass medium, barely missing a concrete pole base. Thank God there was nobody traveling in the left lane. We attempted to call their safety department and so far have had to return call. My husband is a OTR driver of over 30 years and needless to say we re horrified by this drivers lack of attention and skill. Give these guys a wide berth if you don t want to end up road kill. Maybe we ll call DOT.

Venture really never did me wrong,like any place you work treat ppl with respect and like a human and you will get it back in return,

This company is okay to work for, but they tend to play the favoritism game a lot...

Started 01/20/2020. Found out stop pay is $10 and detention is $10/hr after 2 hours. 1st flag was truck not ready and had to wait for it after orientation and it was still dirty. 2nd flag was wrong trailer number given for 1st load causing More

I've been driving here for 6 years. Great runs and great home time.

I was with this company for 8 years. They decide to tell me 5 weeks in advance I would be getting laid off. Understandable but the best part is that they withheld my entire last paycheck making me pay back PTO. They let you use it lay you off and then steal your last pay check. Great place to work!

Good company to work for. Especially if your near a terminal or dedicated lane.

Drivers are ignorant, disrespectful, no road etiquette, and drive deadly dangerous on the roads! Whipping in and out of traffic. Doing 75 or faster through very tight road construction zones where the speed limit is 55 mph. Tailgating. Cutting people off. Just bad drivers all the way around

Truck is always late. Dispatch never informs anyone if a route is behind, Unprofessional!!!

I have been with the company over6 months now. You couldnt ask for better people to work for. They treat you with respect and go out of thier way for you. I'm looking forward to finishing my career here...

Just another money grubbing trucking company . Owner operators are underpaid, used and thrown away. Charge you to pull their trailer $ 400.00 a month. The only difference between this company and other half as*&d companys is the name on the door. Save youself the heartache , look elsewhere.

Worst company sorry sob"s closed the Spartanburg yard putting PEOPLE out of work. Told Atlanta will be doing my dispatcher only one there and he is lower than a snakes belly. This is not venture quite hiding TRANCORR.

Don't ever work here. They told me I had a week of vacation I used it then I was robbed of my whole last check saying I used a week over of what I was supposed to use. My vacation time was being used without my permission like if I called in sick they used a vacation day instead of a pto day. If I had to leave early they made the rest of the day up with vacation time that I never gave permission to use. So I pretty much got robbed of my money and they are saying I still owed them 300$ after they took my whole check as well.

Driver beware of the drug test process, something is not right with the lab this company uses, I went here for a job in August and 4 days after I did my drug test they finally came back saying I failed my drug test... sorta funny that 1 the very next week I went to another company I had on standby and past my drug test no problem...

If I could get it no stars I would, this company is a JOKE . Dont expect to get the miles that you are promised , and dont expect to be home every weekend like promised. They wont even give you a copy of the contract that you signed. If someone is reading this and expecting to go to this company, PLEASE find a new place to get your CDL .

This month would be a year. Since day one nothing really seems organized. Communication is awful. I've had problems with pay . It's like you are bothering them to correct a mistake payroll made. No one return calls concerning correcting the problem's they caused. But let me be late arriving to the terminal I have every one calling to see where I am. I'm really having second thoughts about continuing my employment with this company

Passive aggressive fleet manager is what I had. Management refused to correctly deal with "his" problems. Took him out for a smoke and "buddy" talk. Company has numerous systemic problems. Recently hired someone who used to work for Knight Transportation to help with internal management issues etc. That's a big red flag. Safety, J**** will tell you anything and then do something else. They will mess with your DAC. They deny you access in the ELD, (PeoplePC) to change or correct your time. Most of the drivers do not know that access is disabled. Safety guy told me, "most drivers not educated enough to understand how to use it". Pay close attention to your pay stub, keep all paperwork for months. They have a big problem with getting you reimbursements on time. They offered guarantee pay for several weeks but, they don't offer you a copy of the paper you sign, (getting the idea bout this company). Small shop and bay for mechanic's, those guys and gal do work hard. Majority of trailers are in horrible shape and old.

Working for Transcoor over 10 years like o/o. in St. Louis Mo.When I quit they are take my money from my maintance acc over 2.500 $. I try to fix that with payrool manager, and she never help me. Her name is Julie Adams. She don't answer on my phone calls, and don't answer on my e-mails. She just ignore me. I try to call HR department, left im message too many times, but no one call me back. Try to fix my problem with St Louis manager, he never help me I need my last starement, and he send me one from 2013 !! Finally I call previus St Louis mannager RICK JUN, he working in Indy now, and he help me and give my my money back, and I'm very appriciated him for that. This is my story about this company after 10 years working for him

Another garbage trucking company that likes to mess up your pay, has zero communication, and when you get sick of it, and leave... Good luck on your final check. If you get one, it won t be even close to correct.

I currently drive for Venture. This is the MOST crooked company I've ever driven for. My pay is supposed to be a garunteed minimum. Venture finds an excuse to short me $250 to $325 one paycheck per month. If you want to be paid as agreed upon....STAY AWAY!!!

I have been leased to Venture (Subaru) for a while .clueless operation if you'll ever seen one ,bad management ,ok at best for company drivers ....For owner ops...look away.....far away

local work that I do is great problem is I'm a Vet and I have to make apts now and then to be seen for medical that needs monitored. Venture implemented a new absence policy that maybe good for factory workers but not local truck drivers.

only allowed 5 pts a year so lets see have to see doctors next month then another place in 3 months then another in 6 months right there is 3 points and that is not counting dental work that is supposed to be done so there is another 2 points so thats 5 and they say see ya later after 2 points you get a verbal 3 a talking too and 5 your gone ,

it is assnine period I have No set hours and cannot take time in am nor in after noon to see doctor and why pay for dental when you are not allowed to see a dentist either or you now start getting points ?? seriously i doubt the office personnel in your company get points i know this for a fact !

Also, there is a federal mandate about the smoking policy i think that the suits would want to educate their Regional managers on this seeing how a certain one in Fl has no clue to this rule . I do not find it funny either that in house threats should be taken lightly when someone can post things at another driver in threatening manners makes for a very hostile environment.

The Dm is a prick period no respect only to his closest drinking buds I assume as well. Venture should be ashamed to say in their site get respect there is none. Not if your married , single or other their ethics on family is a joke period if you have an emergency and have to leave forget it. Family comes first not your load , customer, or your company

There is not a perfect trucking company, you take the good with the bad. I've been in this business 27 years. What happen to me words can it describe it,or can I repay Venture, for the kindness they have shown me, or can I thank them enough. I was on a run to Laredo tx, when I got some news that you don't want hear. Your son's going to have heart surgery on Thursday. Being Monday, your thinking ok I have planty enough time to drop and make it back. No problem. Called management. But Wednesday I was still sitting down Laredo, thinking and knowing there's no way going too make my son's surgery. Than my phone ring. It was my terminal manager, telling me venture was going fly me up to Indiana and back. So I could make my son's surgery. I Truly didn't expect that. Or will that happen all the time. If your looking for a company that management cares about it's drivers than venture is it. Something like they did for me rarely happens in trucking.thank you Venture....( Thomas Wayne Bumgardner)

I spent $5000 IN SCHOOL, They do not guarantee you the job, and you must pay it, It is my worse experience in this company and school, please do not waste your money and your time

Low pay, no loads. Whatever you do, do NOT slipseat with this company. Drivers have covid symptoms and they just put you in the truck after the other driver is rushed to the hospital.

Worst medical health plan I ve ever seen. Hard to budget for that much out of pocket. Depending on which deductible you choose. 1st 3000.00 is totally up to you. Insurance won t even negotiate with offices for better co-pay. So up to 3000.00 you pay 100%. Then up to 6000.00 they only pay 70%

Great company that cares about it's drivers and makes you feel like family

Recruiter refused to answer the phone or call me back after finding out I didn't have enough experience. It's ok that I didn't have enough experience but don't tell me I'm hired then when I'm not hired ignore me. I wasted 4 days of job searching because of that.

What a joke of a company there payroll can continue to mess up your paycheck with no recourse, the maintenance department is under staffed, the safety department is for the company they think nothing of the driver other than he is a stupid driver, They have no idea how to get there trans flow and people net to work if you are a professional driver stay clear.

If you are a driver do not come to this company or you will miss paying your bills. The managers are forcing drivers to stay awake 24 hrs for loads and will beat on your truck door when you are in the sleeper berth. You can expect only 86 local loaded miles in Indiana and no detention pay, definitely not enough to pay rent. No breakdown pay or pay to repair trailers. Everyone working on the crossdock and in the shop were wonderful but no resolution bringing any concern to safety or human resources.
