I volunteered on one of the immersion courses and loved it. I met a lot of fantastic people, had great conversations and a lot of fun.

Great! It is an easy way to refresh your English with an awesome style.

My problem is that my oral English is not fluent at all. I have followed an intensive course of 20 hours / week and I have to say that the class time is used very well. If enough time is available to work on what has been done in class, you learn a lot.

The best academy I've ever met. Definitely worth paying more. The quality of teaching is noticeable from day one. Seriousness, professionalism, demand and results.
Hopefully at some point put a branch in Andalusia.

Travel helps shape the person we become. It teaches us about new cultures and together through their food helps us bridge the gap between us. That is a good thing.

Such was my mindset when I first learned about Vaughn Town and their volunteer project teaching English to Spanish students. It was early 2018 and by June I was on my way to Madrid and ultimately Avila for a week of laughter and teaching, but more importantly, learning.

The students were working professionals and wanted to get to that next level of speaking English. We spoke nothing but English from breakfast to way past dinner and cocktails. It was an unforgettable experience.

They gave me more than I could imagine; hopefully I gave them something in return.

If you can do a VaughnTown program, do it. It will change you in ways I can t begin to explain.

Every week I am looking forward to the time to go to class because it keeps me absolutely focused and at the same time entertained and focused on what I am learning.

My experience with Vaughantown has been superlative! It was a wonderful experience (twice) and was worthwhile and rewarding. The hotels are 5 star and the food! Well, diet before you attend because you will gain pounds, or as the Spaniards would say, "kilos." If you appreciate wine, you're in luck-there will be plenty with ever meal.! But don't worry, because the Siesta will refresh you. The people you meet are not only the wonderful, warm Spaniards, the terrific staff, but also Anglos from all around the world. I have maintained relationships with many I have met from this Vaughantown experience. I couldn't recommend it more.

The best method to learn English, intense classes, very good professionals.

It is an excellent method; 100% of the time is used. The student is not a passive listener, but actively participates in the class by practicing and repeating, which is the best way to learn. The best learning method I know, and I've been to a few places, in Spain, in the USA and in England. Now I explain the success they are having. Congratulations.

After so many years trying to improve my English, I have finally found a place where I have been excited, amused and learned like never before. Congratulations for the method and, of course, for the level of preparation and dedication of the teachers.

The atmosphere is pleasant and fun. As the goal is to make you understand and understand you by speaking, the classes are dynamic and participatory.

Learning is fantastic at last. I have been able to let go of speaking English and I only have two classes.

So far it has been the best place for me to learn English. Classes are never boring and teachers follow a pretty good dynamic.

Absolutely despicable place. Waste of your time and money. They are more salesman than teachers. They bring people in to 'teach' them the Vaughn method and do not pay them. And if your not salesman enough for them they get rid of you. The Vaughn method is a way a suckering students to pay over the odds for a terrible service. Avoid like the plague!

I actually love Vaughan radio, I listen to it almost every day to improve my English. The reason I give it 1 star is because I had a bad experience when I tried to change academies last year, I went to Vaughan Academy to ask for information about the course. I was attended by a robust woman (a bit chubby) and she had no patience to explain anything about the course. He only told me the price per hour and I asked him if there is any bonus to pay for x time. And he answered me in a bad way a NO. So I left the academy very disappointed. Unfortunately there are unprofessional people who leave the company very badly.

This method is very effective to improve the level. It is not cheap but it takes full advantage of time.

They do not pick up the phone to give commercial information, lack of commercial attention or incoming calls. The method is the best in Madrid.

This was my first experience with VT as a volunteer and it was wonderful !I ave been recommending it to every one I can as not known in my part of the world (Western Canada)
The interaction with the Spaniards and seeing their progression in mastering English was very rewarding
I thought the volunteer program was very well organized a lot of fun as well as rewarding for long days -- not to forget the fabulous meals and wine

Very good atmosphere, very dynamic classes that make you be in tension to give the best of you. Zero words in Spanish. Highly recommended

I don't criticize the method why I haven't tried it and I can't comment on it. My low assessment is for the level test. There are very few 10 minutes in which you answer a series of questions and that's it. I think it is not very objective, in general. In Vaughan I have been assigned an A2, and in other academies, with much more complete level tests I have been assigned a B2.1 ... I do not know, or wanted to complete a group that lacked people or really do not take into account all aspects of knowledge of someone's language. It is that in 10 minutes spoken it is impossible ... Perhaps for your method this classification is sufficient, but to me it seems extremely subjective and little use of standard scales.

I've been to several academies and this is definitely the best. Small groups, native teachers eager to teach and the dynamics is just perfect! Very dynamic and entertaining. I highly recommend it

For me it is the method with which I have learned the most. It is based on oral repetition and constant review of the concepts and structures learned.

It is based on the assimilation of the language.

A couple of years ago I started to wonder why I'd travelled widely in Europe, (loved Italy especially) but never really had an enthusiasm for Spain. I had an Australian friend who had a contact who'd been to Vaughantown, I'd never heard of it so I had to find out more. I set off for Gredos thinking if it wasn't that enjoyable I could put up with a week of it. Well..... I truly had the most fantastic experience. I met a lovely group of Spaniards, all of whom were warm, friendly, funny and very keen to improve their English. The Anglos were great fun too.. Parting on the Friday was a very tearful affair and 2 years later our WhatsApp group is going strong. It's also a great testament to Vaughan that so many people have been back several times. I have enthused about it to all of my friends, and I can't wait to go back again.

I love Vaughan's classes. Best of all are the mini-presentations. They encourage you to improvise short speeches using advanced and varied connectors.

With the Vaughan method they help you correct your small mistakes with a communicative and practical method. The classes are intense and every second is used.

With them I learned to understand, speak and think in English, highly recommended.

There's no better place to keep your English alive. (Or reborn it if you need to)

Quality teachers, who make you make the most of the class, are amazing in motivation, super dynamic classes! This Vaugham method is magnificent, unlike any other method to learn English, Congratulations!

The classes are dynamic, fun and the most important is that you don't stop talking. Not like in other places that you are all the time with grammar. For that you already have the support book.

100% recommended. One class session and have progressed further than in many courses.

Horrible value for money. Lack of professionalism from the first moment in which after requesting all the data and telling you that they contact you the next day they do not do it and when you call again you realize that they have not recorded your data. .. As a professional I wanted to get a serious company and did not meet expectations at all. Absolute lack of professionalism.

Free classes are a good option to learn without submitting to fixed hours, teachers are nice as well as competent.

In these three months that I have been in Vaughan's classes, I have to say that the level of demand is high and that has allowed me to work hard enough to achieve the desired objectives.

I think there are two different subjects being discussed here: classes with Vaughan and the VaughanTown experience which does not involve teaching. The negative reviews seem to pertain to the classeoom experience, about which I can't comment. I have done a couple dozen of the VaughanTown programs and recommend them highly. Volunteers from a wide range of countries are vying to be accepted to go to Spain to participate in these programs, paying their own transport costs to Madrid in order to do so. These residential programs are highlights of my year and the laughter we share keeps me cheerful for weeks afterwards. The Spaniards and odd assortment of nationalities of the volunteers make friends immediately, comversations on whatever topic flow easily as we walk or share meals together. There are no classes,so no repetition, just oral and aural practice for those who have already attained a level of English to allow relatively easy conversation. The variety of careers and interests of both the Spanish and anglo contingents leads to fascinating chats with people you would never cross paths with in your usual life routine. All the volunteers love these programs...Witness the percentage of those going again and again...and I have yet to see a Spaniard going home disgruntled, displeased or disillusioned.

What a great experience for both the Spaniards and the English speakers . It is a great way to learn more about the different cultures and people at the same time, improving your English. I have participated in several Vaughan Towns and as the English speaker I never fail to be amazed as to how the Spaniards grow in confidence and greatly improve their English speaking skills. The best method to learn English that I know, without a doubt

Fun and very dynamic courses. If you really want to learn English, this is a good place to go. You may have to work hard however.

It is an interesting experience to participate in this learning method. It lacks the student's ability to improvise during classes instead of systematically repeating phrases made to satiety. Even so in a good method in a very well conditioned place for hundreds of simultaneous classes.

I have had two awesome weeklong Vaughan Town experiences....one in Belmonte and one in Gredos. The very best thing for me was meeting the Spanish people, hearing about their lives and learning about their country. Every single one of the Spaniards were so appreciative of our help as they are learning English. I ll definitely do this again. In the meantime I have fallen in love with Spain and the Spanish people.

I can only thank this company what it does for those of us who want to practice or learn a language, regardless of the age we have and the motive that moves us to it.

The method of teaching classes in this center is very intense and dynamic. It seems very effective.

My wife and I participated in a VaughanTown 2 years ago and it was hands down, the best vacation of my life. We still maintain contact with several of the Spaniards as well as Anglos. The program is very well run, exciting, fun, educational... Alba and Carmen were the best hostesses! If we could, we would go 5 times a year. It really was an amazing experience.

If you want to learn how to repeat when asked this is your place.
If you want to know how to use the language properly (In a fluid open conversation with a good level of understanding)..... Go somewhere else.

I have just returned from my third yearly VT session and I am still impressed with the quality of the program and the people who lead the sessions. The experience is managed very carefully to achieve the best possible results for the students as well as the volunteers like myself.
I highly recommend this program to those people who want to improve their English language skills and as well as to improve their self confidence... plus have fun in the process

I've been two months and in general terms I'm happy. But as everywhere there is a "but" and in my case is that they promised us that we would have the class book in the App and after all the quarter claiming it, since it was very useful in the 1st quarter, in this quarter they have hung it. I think with the big bucks that it costs, they could have fixed it. At this point I am very disputed.

A different English method and if you apply you get results. They help you and "force" you to improve day by day.

Dynamic, entertaining and efficient English method.

A real chaos, they only think about selling courses and they don't worry if the students advance or not. They do not follow up with the parents if the students do not progress, they do not give reports if the student does not ask for it, even in cases where the students are minors. Serious problems of data protection rights. Very very unhappy.

I have been a week in the intensive course of Vahugan, it has been a very motivating experience and I really recommend this academy for its professionalism and its always nice treatment and cuts

The best system to learn English from everyone you had met so far!

I have attended a quarter and I am happy with the result. The very outstanding teachers of the students and not a minute of time is wasted.
The price somewhat high but if what is sought is to take advantage of every second hired is a good option.

Wonderful week in Belmont this summer......the program was well organized and we met some really nice people who came to improve their English. I was impressed with how diligent every student was. I want to volunteer again !

They have been superintensas classes and very entertaining. Finally I think I can place the subjects, pronouns and complements where he plays.

Excellent academy to improve your English at Professional level

Classes are expensive and I personally don't like the Vaughan method.
But the staff is very friendly and the teachers, as well as natives, are very friendly and make the classes very easy, fun and enjoyable.

I love travel, not as a tourist but a wanderer learning about the culture of the country, rather than counting how many countries I have been to.
Vaughan Town is an amazing way to learn about Spanish culture and day to day living in Spain, because we have a week with Spanish business men and women in a small town or facility where hopefully they will not hear any Spanish. It is total immersion English for them and we do NOT teach them. We are the facilitators for the Spaniards to speak English without fear or nervousness.....which they have but it disappears quickly.

It is fun, a real adventure in many areas such as participating in the entertainment side and a wonderful way to make great friends. I have holidayed with many friends I have made doing "Vaughan Town"....8 weeks in all.
Yes....I am one of the addicted ones. I am from New Zealand. The Anglos are from all English speaking countries as the need for business people to hear all accents is necessary in today's world.
Do it! You won't regret it.
I can't wait to go back.
