Do NOT stand up for the interests of the insured. After a car breakdown in Germany, I had about 400 in extra costs for a two-day stay until my car was repaired again. Damage registered with my continuous travel insurance / van Kuringe, after about a week they come to the conclusion that I am entitled to 100, - ( 50, - per day) which were transferred to my account. Although I had no policy conditions (you don't get those anymore nowadays) I thought I was entitled to at least a reimbursement of 50 per person per day, my wife was also with us so 200. This first had to be investigated extensively, which again took more than a week, after which an email this week stating that another 100 had been transferred. The conclusion is that either v. Kuringe has no idea whatsoever of the policy conditions or really do everything to pay as little as possible at the expense of their own clients. I have had a continuous travel insurance policy for at least 20 years, at the time taken out with v.d Heuvel in Beek en Donk, which was taken over by v Kuringe, except once some medicines worth a few tens have never been claimed and as a thank you you are disadvantaged by your own intermediary!
I am going to transfer ALL my insurance policies elsewhere.
