The restaurant is luxurious and there are good amenities.

Been here after Sail Harlingen. Great food here nice smooth service. The weather was warm but cool inside. air conditioning was running well.
Eating outside is also possible.

Great hotel for a small vacation. Base for outings such as Alkmaar, Callantsoog. Good restaurant with a nice menu. You can have a good breakfast there with fried eggs, salmon and more.

Party (30pers.) With buffet had there. Top arranged, good food with good service.

Worthless that they take a different tack, by means of smaller portion of meat and more vegetables, is completely wrong.

We already knew that Van der Valk's restaurants are in decline.
Three times is a charm, Van der Valk from feeding shed to star portions, I think there is a big difference.
Provide a varied menu, for that money you can expect a little more.
We often go out for dinner and know that it can be so much better.
Never again a Van der Valk menu for us.

Easily accessible on the A7 from both sides. Cozy atmosphere where you can eat quietly.

Space for 6 people, space for 4 people, space for 3 people, space for 2 people. And then you come with five of us to eat, sorry we have no place, you can eat 2 to 3 ... Worst service I have ever experienced!

The service was great, food arrived pretty fast. The staff was pleasant to talk to as well. Only minor complaint was that the ice cream tasted like it been frozen for far too long.

Boring style restaurant, smooth, neat service and good food.

Food as always fine but .... the AC was broken. And we had deliberately chosen for indoor eating due to the air conditioning (we had even had a trial meal on Thursday before and consciously opted for indoor eating due to the air conditioning and our guests). Only when I said something about it myself was it confirmed that the air conditioning was broken. Another downside is that you couldn't get a glass of water next to your wine. This immediately turned into a bottle of spa blue. That made our bill 20 euros extra (7 x spa).
Normally when my husband and I eat here together, a glass of water next to your wine is free of charge and no problem.

I can recommend the African Suite. Very nice room with rain shower and jacuzzi. 1 star less because the jacuzzi temporarily did not work because they had problems with hot water. Have they solved well with a discount. It did not seem that they had that problem more often so still recommended and definitely come back once.

We had a delicious dinner here. There was also nothing to fault on the service.
