Food very good walking buffet one highly recommended

Delicious eaten in the Brasserie, fantastic breakfast buffet and beautiful room

The food was excellent. The service superb. The portions a bit large. Truly a great experience.

Had lunch here and as with almost all Van der Valks there are few comments or remarks. A lunch menu with tasty standard dishes, such as bouncer or croquettes on bread, but also fewer standard dishes such as pulled chicken on Turkish bread, or humus on Turkish bread. Food and drinks come nice and fast, so a lunch doesn't have to last very long either. For Tesla drivers this is also a great SuperCharger location.

It is a nice hotel and I had a great time! Good food.

A bed, desk, television, free Wi-Fi, bathroom, safe, fridge, cupboards, chairs, room service, great breakfast, restaurant. And pretty clean. What the hell do you want more from a hotel room?

The bed was perfect just a pity there was no bath in it, unfortunately breakfast had no good atmosphere. I felt compelled to stay choked ... a music could have cheered things up a lot. Everything else was great

Van der Valk, an institution in the Netherlands! In every place to find and yet each has its own charm. The hotel in Drachten is smaller than most of the other Van der Valk hotels, but it does not miss anything. Modern rooms, friendly staff and good food in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet invite you to linger. When we have to do in Drachten we always like to stay and usually hang 1-2 days off.

Had brunch here on the occasion of a birthday. Really excellent buffet and delicious too. Nice welcome and goodbye by the staff.

Ample parking space. Kind and correct receipt. Nice rooms, nice bar and good breakfast choice. In the comfort room bathroom with bath and separate shower. No noise from neighboring rooms (TV noise, walking shower or pulling toilet). Ability to open window. Many business visits during stays from Thursday to Friday.

Good hotel. Spacious rooms and within cycling distance (+10 min) from the center. There is a bus stop behind this hotel.

Van de Valk is always nice to come back to. Been here couple of time on business stay over and enjoyed every moment so far.

Breakfast is spoiled, management refuses to speak to people, promises are not kept!
After my parents stayed here for a nice amount in December, they were shocked by the breakfast delivered by van der Valk. The moisture crept through the baking toppings, the cheese was almost a sweat cheese. The only thing that seemed fairly fresh was the salmon. In good spirits they ate a sandwich here, and a few hours later it went wrong. Fever, cold sweat and vomiting: food poisoning.
In addition, the staff had a banquet (it was awarded to you) and as a result, the service was late with the preparation of tables. Unfortunately, the rule remained that breakfast was over at 11 a.m. and they were jerked out of the breakfast room in a rude manner. This while they were waiting for plates and crockery.
This took place on a Sunday, moreover they had to return home in Drachten in view of the situation instead of their second day in Drachten. This is a long drive to Amsterdam. This made it impossible for them to go to a doctor.
When contacting the manager and reporting food poisoning (after they refused to call for days), the manager indicates from the start that the room for breakfast is unsuitable and that breakfast is not adequate. But without a doctor's statement, they can put themselves in the pot. It could not even apologize. "It's just like that, I recently had the flu myself." They therefore do not take the trouble to take a complaint about food, in particular food with a risk of salmonella.
Of course I do not agree with the way the management treated my parents on their weekend away. I have been trying to get in touch for a while now, but today management is too busy with a new location. Hopefully the salmon is not spoiled there and they do not play with the health of their guests there.
NEVER stay at this hotel! Their breakfast destroys more than you would like, and they also shit on that!

Lkker food good breakfast neat rooms bed was a bit small for me but am used to myself neat lunch packages more than enough in friendly staff
