Van der Valk Hotel De Bilt - Utrecht Review

Mediocre operation. Draft beer was finished, and that on Sunday afternoon? A somewhat irregular occurrence on the terrace. A disappointment.

Been here for a while, and it remains one of my favorite vd Valk restaurants. Great service and great food. Nice variety in dishes.

Gluten was moderately taken into account, but a lot of good food.

A somewhat dated but nevertheless pleasant place to have lunch

Great relaxed atmosphere and sublime restaurant- great game menu and even every weekday real Dutch 'stampot' menu. Great service. Surprising how they always manage to give great service even when it's 'full house' with many many people coming for lunch or dinner.

VandeValkhotel De Bilt offers phrasion modern spacious rooms. In our room there was also a large TV screen (not on!) On the wall with a razor-sharp image. The beds are neatly made up every day. The breakfast facilities were also great. The beds slept wonderfully. The restaurant offers an excellent menu. The red snapper for me and the 3 slipper tongues for my wife were subtly seasoned and tasted great. Many non-hotel guests also come to the restaurant. Last but not least: The hotel is a good starting point for a visit to Utrecht, which can be easily reached with the bus stop directly in front of the hotel. Visiting Utrecht by bus instead of a car prevents difficult parking problems. In short vandeValk De Bilt is really worth 5 stars for me.

Already visited several Van Der Valk restaurants, but this is the least attractive for me where I would like to celebrate a party. Staff clearly need to be invested in who served us. Can't judge the rest. Enthusiasm did not sparkle and personal hygiene was also far from ideal.

The food was okay, but if I compare this with the food in Veenendaal, both the food is top notch and the staff super friendly.

Always friendly staff and good food. This hotel restaurant may not have the luxury like others, but it does have character. I love nostalgia ... Have been coming here for a long time, with my parents. And now still with my mother. Many nice memories.

Agreed with a business relation a while ago. They seem to do a lot of people. Right on the highway, easily accessible. In terms of view the road just behind, that is less. Ample parking.

Have eaten here several times. Great place with delicious food and nice people who come to serve it! The vegetarian food is also excellent. Highly recommended. Parking is also sufficient.

Operation is arrogant and lets you wait a long time if you want to pay. Now happens 2x.

The oldest shines. The terrace is great for business appointments.

Cozy. The food we received was good, only 1 vegetable and 2 types of potato products we found a bit on the scant side! It had some more vegetables in it and a little less fries / baked potato.

Nice hotel nothing special, breakfast line was inconvenient no place to rest your tray if u want to pick up the food, and the swimming area could use a good scrub. The rooms where nice and clean though.

Clean place, clean rooms, good quality service. There is a pool with warm water, good point! The breakfasts are fantastic, lots of choices.

Good food, but small portions unfortunately. I estimate I had Iberico ribeye of less than us. And for that amount it was too thin for me.

Thought to have dinner with a friend. Did I get food poisoning here . Paid a lot of money and the food was not tasty either. Have been sick for 3 days! Not recommended.

This restaurant used to have the image of a senior citizens' box on Sunday afternoon, but that has completely disappeared.

The food was fine, but although the service was friendly, they did not come long and it took a long time for orders to be delivered.

Bad. We had to wait a long time for a drink and the carpaccio dish was very salty. When we wanted to order a wine we had to wait a while. I had ordered my steak Red but he was on the border of medium pity I had better send it back the service was also not top, we did not really feel like it.

Unusual luxurious lunch. Large selection of patisserie. Comfortable to sit on. Warm atmosphere. Warm service staff.
Wonderful after an autumn hike that starts right at the hotel.
After the welcome we were given a map with hiking routes.
And all of this a stone's throw from Utrecht. Mini vacation.

The room's appearance was lacking. The room was not so dated, but not modern. The room had 1 window party which was not very large. Shower and bath were fine, no walk-in shower, but did have a rain shower. Breakfast is good. Room service was fine and fast enough. The elevator is very dated and impractical. This also applies to the layout of the hotel. We had to go down the stairs from the reception, walk down the long corridor, up the elevator there, and walk a bit further from there. Very impractical and unclear.

Great food and extremely friendly service and visit more than worth it

Yesterday, eating the Menu was no longer as extensive as before, very unfortunate. Very nice terrace.

Good rooms, neat and clean, nice staff. Nice area for walking or cycling.

Since 1 May 2019 it is no longer possible to use the swimming pool as a non-hotel guest (paid). I enjoyed using it and had a fixed ritual, a swim and then dinner after work. I was not aware of this and wanted to swim (and eat) with my son this time. The receptionist was relentless and could not make an exception for this last time either. We could opt for an expensive swimming subscription or nothing. It didn't get anything. Furthermore, good hotel, regularly overnight, somewhat pricey, good restaurant friendly staff, but this could really be better. This is not 'des Valks'. At least one (very) loyal customer less, but they will not miss me ...
Here a low score but overall the service was always good.

Sunday evening 16 February excellent gluten-free and lactose-free dinner: the evening led by a sympathetic young man, who carefully ensured that each dish was safe and delicious. Every person who came to our table was informed by him. The starter was even stripped of the cross-contamination film at the table. Delicious eaten. Compliments!

Excellent hotel for a delicious cappuccino, both private and business, very practical.

Pleasant atmosphere, nice terrace, extremely correct service and good food. Too bad that smoking is still allowed. Furthermore, top. Compliment for the management who asked someone to take his dog off the table. The guy with the dog really didn't understand.
