Good rooms, breakfast fine. Dinner better than expected, good value for money.

Beautiful surroundings. Friendly people. Luxurious appearance.

Biggest scammers I know have to move rooms twice because they don't know how to clean a shower drain and bath drain. Then there is no customer friendly action and I am still in the same dirty room.

I have to say that other van der valk hotels would never screw you or let you enter your room while they are dirty.

Modern and clean rooms. Friendly staff. A short distance from Amsterdam. Nice area for a walk. You can park the car at the hotel. For the car park one street away beyond Purmerenderweg.

Had nice high tea here. Casual, friendly staff. If it is too much you can request a doggie bag. Was not necessary with us

Very nice location, not so far from the center of Amesterdam. Approximately 30 minutes by bus without change. The hotel staff very friendly and nice.

Charming hotel within walking distance of the center

Cozy appearance. Great breakfast.
However, I was troubled by heavy traffic across the bridge, so you can always hear rumble.

Very cozy family intimate restaurant. The food was of good quality and the service friendly.

Great room. Wonderful breakfast and dinner. Fine service and very customer friendly. And willing to think along in everything. Thank you for the service that we were allowed to leave our car for two days. I call that customer loyalty.

Little food for a lot of money. Lots of salt on your fries. Staff okay but had a lot of questions. Did not really come by itself.

Whereby it should be a maximum of 2. Curtains in room 16 are extremely stained.

We have just visited the hotel van der valk in Purmerend for a high tea. Table was nicely set, all looked nice. An apparently nice man who served us this afternoon turned out not to be that friendly at all.

As before, we received an etagere with all kinds of delicacies (think donuts, cake, etc.). There were also 17 muffins on it while we were 7 people.

As follows we received another etagere with sandwiches. This was not what we expected. It was bread like you used to get in high school. For example, there was a salmon sandwich that was half topped with salmon and lettuce. As dry as it gets. If we wanted to have a drink it was, I quote "another drink". Very uninterested and inattentive.

We complained about the sandwiches and the muffins. Then it was said that we would get new rolls, this took 45 minutes before the next rolls were on the table. This was one big pile of bread, only different fillings and a bit tastier in the mouth.

We have paid 27.20 per person for this! All in all a mockery.

Nice and cozy hotel entrance looked neat and tidy, rooms somewhat outdated but tidy.

You can always have great food there and it is also not expensive. Also they always have everything super well in order ... Such as staff and quality.

A small branch is a bit dated. But otherwise fine okay.

Very Average hotel. The rooms are dated and not the cleanest. Even the hallways and elevator need a lot of work. The restaurant however is nice. The staff are also friendly.

Rooms in the 'old' part do not meet the van der Valk standard. Old, small, noisy. The bathroom was also outdated. Clean by the way, but very simple, with a much too high entry to get into the bath, making it unsuitable for people with mobility problems. Also, the rooms in the old part can only be reached by stairs, so they are not suitable for people with mobility problems.
Breakfast fine.

The hotel is quite good, but in my opinion it does not meet the vd Valk guidelines. Hence 3 stars.

Small sober room right next to the stairs very noisy. The room is very drafty, this through the window that apart from single glass also cracks. Showering in deep bath. Restaurant cozy and friendly staff.

We payed less than 200 for 3 nights. Best price we found.
It is near the highway, has a lot of parking slots that are included in the price and available all day and night.
But there is no elivator and our room was on the second floor, so we had to take our luggage all the way up a few very steep stairs.

All you need in terms of food and accommodations if you are a tasteless, lower class elderly person. For all other people: avoid this place

We were in the restaurant on a Sunday evening. Upon entering, we had to wait for at least minutes for someone to take us to our reserved table. We were not informed of the existence of the wardrobe. So we put the coat over the chair. Drinks came quickly. We had to wait half an hour for the ordered menu. The meat was delicious
The garnish of grilled vegetables and pastry potatoes was cold. Dessert took a long time to come. We were told that a large group had gone before! The bill came quickly. Change was thus given into the hand. Not on a saucer or folder or something. We also did not get the bill back. During dinner someone stood in full view in the dining room drying the cutlery. A disappointing experience

Enjoy lunch, mushroom soup and primal bread with sliced ribeye. Highly recommended

Good food for a nice price. Nice packages such as Sinterklaas brunch.

I just love the price : value quality of this hotel. The area is beautiful and the rooms are very clean. The bed is super comfy and not that far from Amsterdam.
Strongly recommend this.

Really nice place to stay.
Staff- always helpful and nice,
Room- big enough with comfy beds,
Bathroom- huge and very modern.
Every day when we returned our room was cleaned and restocked.
Never had a problem with anything.

Nice hotel to spend a weekend. Only lost star for restaurant: price / quantity is not optimal, everything else in order.

Cozy hotel, close to the center of Purmerend, beautifully situated and you can reach Daan by car or bicycle, the Middenbeemster and Hoorn Alkmaar Enkhuizen easy to reach much to see in Noord-Holland

Lovely hotel, good care and good food. Decor somewhat dated. Slept little during the bad heat because there is no air conditioning.

Set up on a small scale. Good staff. Rooms very dated no air conditioning, not even a range.

With lunch time very quiet, we ordered coffee
but the coffee machine turned out to be broken ??
We ordered wraps with salmon on its own but the accompaniments were not what I expected
a dead crayfish turned out to have been used for it? All in all I will not come back for this !!

Being lunch, rather by chance .. service is really great. food is also very tasty. Just normal things on the map.

Enjoyed two nights. Delicious breakfast definitely come back and nice central location. So in Amsterdam volendam.

Hotel was ok. Was quite warm, unfortunately no air conditioning, but that is not a problem most of the year. Breakfast was fine cozy in the winter garden / conservatory.

Very different from what I expected from a van der Valk hotel. Not massive, good beds.

Shower too small. No air conditioning and that at temperatures of 33 degrees and more 8 Aug 2020. Food bad. Breakfast reasonable. Bed well. Dirty socks from previous clients in the room. All in all, unworthy of Falcon. Shamerrr ......

Cozy smaller hotel, close to the center and Amsterdam and Hoorn.
Disadvantage no small fridge in the room and no air conditioning with the heat.

This older van der Valk is ready for a metamorphosis. No room cleaning, no clean towels, no bed making, bad bathroom, badly opening bathroom door. Breakfast lady in very dirty clothes, very limited breakfast. Too many to mention. No next visit here.
