Disappointing telephone conversation with Singapor...

Disappointing telephone conversation with Singapore airlines when trying to confirm seats. Travelling with small children makes it essential that we sit together. 4 seats together had been requested when the booking was made, but 2 weeks from flying this has not come through on the tickets. A call to Singapore airlines made no difference and was told that they couldn't do anything until check in. Air New Zealand have confirmed required seats on all other legs of our booking. Disappointed with this, particularly as it is a code share flight booked under Air NZ.

Thanks for the timely heads up via txt for my delayed flight this morning. It allowed me extra time at home rather than at the airport. I got to see my daughter and have a full breakfast. Thank you :). NZ5119

No doubt they are the best airline in the World. Service is great and food was amazing. This is the only airline where you wont find those over makeuped air hosts with fake smiles. Everybody is so genuin. Their safety videos are best not one of those boring one that no one cates.I would definitely fly again with them.

Been on this airline for a few times already. You have to check in at the airport which is really annoying, and everytime there is delays. However, there are lollies served near the end of the flight and the staffs were really friendly! Hope to go on Air New Zealand again.

Where do I start?! 1st of all, why doesn't this system have a zero or minus rating.
An international travel agent booked my flight to an Asian country, I needed to add 1 piece of luggage, I was aware of the cost from NZ air website. However, I was informed that I had to pay an extra fee of $25 because the booking was done through an agent and I could not mange my own booking online or the App or add to it because it was made by an agent.
I spoke to a supervisor, after being on hold for 30 minutes, then taking to an employee who put me on hold for another 30 minutes while the supervisor helps me, then she came on to tell me that they can defiantly do it but it will take some work? When she comes back, she explains to me that it can t be done because the agent booked on a system and they were part of another system , expecting me to know what she was talking about.
This morning the 30th of July, I went to Auckland airport 2.5 hours early for my flight to find it was canceled!!!!!!!!!!!! I was not informed, and the reason was Operational . The next possible booking will be 7 days later. At least my flight was direct, I feel sorry for others who had connections.
I have been on hold with the airlines for an hour and half so far! Traying to find a solution to a problem which they caused.
This is utter and complete incompetence, this is what you get when you treat the exceptional and incompetent the same!

Extremely poor services and should deserve NO star. Self checking-in counter was a mess when passengers waiting at long queue to get boarding pass and asking for help to checkin the luggage. Not enough staff at all. What extremely unfortunate was the computer was down too. Please note economy class tickets booked through Cathay Pacific for flights operated by Air New Zealand offer 23KG luggage allowance only but Cathay Pacific wouldn't inform the passengers.

Moved my flight to Hong Kong by 24 hours. This affects my job and leaves me in Hong Kong for 30hours until my next flight. I emailed asking for accommodation or financial compensation for my time and was ignored 3 times. Outrageous service.

If you fly with babies especially infants then look somewhere else
They act like budget airline even for the long international flights and make you pay for a bassinet for your infant !
The call centre are rude and even they admit by saying we are budget airlines yet you pay premium for the flight !

There are heaps of other airlines that fly from New Zealand, same price and some times cheaper.

Pathetic and cheap ! Very disappointed

Will never fly air NZ again. ! Unfortunately it s too late and can t change my flight now.

Aweful service, the airline is Mediocre at best, plane was dirty and staff unpleasant.

And try getting them on the phone once you reached NZ!!!! Impossible! They don t answer and wait time was over 20 min when we gave up the third time. Seats smelled off human sweat. We sweated the entire flight as well because the crew refused to decrease the cabin temperature. Imagine smelling someone else s sweat for 12 hrs! That is why I will never fly with you guys ever again (sadly I still have a flight back to catch and enjoy someone else s body odor for another 12 hrs, wish me luck

Both round trip flight meal was delicious.

Both round trip flight meal was delicious.
The in-flight service was also good.
Everyone was attentive and friendly.
I was not interested in New Zealand, but I thought that I wanted to take this plane again.
I thank the crew members.
I am particularly grateful to the crew of a woman who could speak Japanese when returning to Japan on December 12th flight.
I will not write in detail as it is inconvenient, but I asked my daughter to buy butterscotch pecan.
Thank you for borrowing this place

I took a flight in Taoyuan, Taiwan, flew for about 10 hours to board at 1750, and arrived in Auckland at about 1030 local time
There are many types of videos on board, which can kill a lot of time
During the voyage, there will be two meals for dinner and breakfast. It is recommended to order all chicken flavors. This dinner has three cups of chicken risotto, and the breakfast is stir-fried chicken rice noodles with vegetables. Pinot noir can be ordered for wine. It is always refilled but the flight time is considered. It's been a long time and I really don't recommend drinking too much.
There are many types of alcoholic beverages, and passengers will be able to select them during the opening hours. It is recommended that they can be ordered once every round. There is a local beer with a concentration of only 2.5%.

Typically I like Air NZ and when everything goes well they are great but if something goes wrong it's another story.

To be clear this is NOT a review of the awesome Air NZ staff this is a review of the corporate company and how they fail to implement crisis training and equip their staff with adequate resources to have the correct information and to act and react appropriately in these unprecedented COVID-19 times.

We were on Air NZ flight NZ151 to Brisbane due to take off at 2.45pm on Saturday the 4th of July 2020.

My daughter and I offered to leave the plane once the captain advised it was off balance and overweight. 9 other passengers were made to leave the plane. We over heard on the AirNZ staff walkie talkies that they should remove 30 passengers however that didn't happen.

We were advised to call our families to come back to the Auckland airport to pick us up and were then held in customs and told we would have to quarantine.

Incredibly odd situation that was handled terribly by AirNZ. We were handed a letter saying accommodation would be our responsibility. I refused to accept this and if it wasn't for the NZ Police I'm not sure we would have received the amended letter that eventually came.

The NZ Police were really helpful and managed to find out we'd have to quarantine because Americans in transit were also on the flight. All 11 people removed from the plane were New Zealanders and we are yet to find out how the 9 passengers removed were selected.

We were then in quarantine until Tuesday when we left on the next flight to Brisbane.

There's been speculation AirNZ took perishable freight on the same flight which offloaded us 11 passengers but they have not responded to my queries and instead sent an email to apologise and offered me $350. I have requested the money so I can donate it to needy families however have not heard back. I would not have booked the flight if I knew Americans who hadn't been quarantined were on board.

Why do AirNZ risk NZ citizens safety by not disclosing overseas customers who had not quarantined would also be on the flight?

Why was the flight overbooked and overweight?

Did AirNZ choose to take perishable freight to Brisbane instead of paying customers?

FLIGHTS TO/FROM: Los Angeles, California to Auckla...

FLIGHTS TO/FROM: Los Angeles, California to Auckland to Queenstown, New Zealand and Queenstown to Auckland
DATES TAKEN: 02/21/20 and 02/27/20

I always thought it was weird to review an airline, but my husband and I just enjoyed our experience with them so much that I had to say something. Actually, from now on when traveling to that part of the country, I'm sure we will make it a point to travel using Air New Zealand (it also helps that we fell in love with Queenstown)

LONG FLIGHT - For a long flight (12 hour sand 55 minutes from LAX to AKL), this was a blessing. It's always tough to make a long flight comfortable but I found the seats as comfortable as they can be for an airplane. It was easy to walk to the bathroom without feeling you were inconveniencing the flight crew and they were respectful of requests for water. I always hate when you feel like its an inconvenience to ask for more water. They also offer options like the space couch that's cheaper than first class.

SERVICE - Great service, as mentioned above, I never felt like I was inconveniencing the flight crew. Always nice to see how "green-conscious" they are - on short flights they had us hold onto our plastic cups, so we weren't using so many for 1 flight

IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT - the free wifi for the entire flight (only for the longer flight) made the flight go by even faster. The in-flight center was also packed with games, TV shows and movies - that I actually wanted to play and watch

INTERNATIONAL TO DOMESTIC TRANSFER - My biggest word of caution is the transfer from Internal to Domestic part of the airport. It is quite a haul and 1 hour and 45 minutes was BARELY enough time - we were walking to the stairs to our gate as they were announcing final boarding. It is a POSSIBLE connection in the time-frame if you know the airport. We walked the wrong direction (towards the gates) then realized the baggage check-in was the other direction - losing time. With automated check-in kiosks, it was also a little tough to get information on what to do to get our bags checked in for our domestic flight.

BOOKING - We booked both through their website as well as using our Chase Ultimate Rewards points

Absolutely pathetic service if you speak to their call centre staff, they have no idea about half of the things.
Asked to speak to a supervisor and the lady puts me on mute for almost 10 minutes, then comes back and says no supervisor is available.
Finally speak to a supervisor who actually gives me the information I need.
