Walked Into this place and a family member told me they are so understaffed and to keep looking. I walked in and out SMELLS TERRIBLE people looked miserable!

My mother has been in this hell hole of a facility since 7/3/16 and when I say I have been fighting with the admin staff is an understatement. They have loss my mothers footrest and still have not located it , glasses were lost and no one knew from Thursday til Sat. And I do her laundry weekly there should not be any reason why her clothes come up missing. I have complained had meetings and nothing has improved. I have even contacted the Osbusman dept with no results. Unfortunately, there are no other places where we can transfer her to that are close by and that can take her. But please if your loved ones have to go to Vale stay involved. I pop up often at different times and days so they never know when to expect me. Here we are 2 yrs later and again Vale has lost my mother's glasses and don't seem to care too much about locating them. So the family is replacing them for our mother and hope Vale will reimburse. To me this is negligent on Vale's behalf. When I wash my mother's clothes weekly there are times where there are scrubs in her laundry and other clothing in with her laundry too many unresolved issues and complaints

Understaffed and rude staff, do not recommend coming here.

A family member of mine got transferred to Vale this week. I sware that they don't give their patient's medicine on time. They have nasty food. Need to improve their nutrient table. Some Asian nurse are mean and lazy. Who ever is handling this nursing facility needs to improve their customer service and the speed their staff service. I wouldn't let any of my family members be in this facility no more.They rather see them suffer than living a good healthy environment. Some of their staff don't now how to smile. All staff should speak English not their language. In the other hand. Some staff and Doctor's are nice.

The nurses & cna's are all very courteous & skilled at their job. This is my second time here.

I was there from June 2015 to August 2016 and everyone I came in contact with was professional. Always got my medication on time the staff that I encountered was great and includes Cna's, charge nurse's, social worker's, activities director and activities assistants & wound care nurses. The only thing I didn't like was some of the food but I can't compare their cooking to my mothers it's not fair. So in other words do what I did and ask your love ones to bring some food but all meals are not bad. I highly recommend this facility.

My dad was quickly discharged from the hospital 2 months ago and Vale Healthcare was one of the places that had a bed for him. After reading the reviews I was very uneasy about him staying here. I will say his first week was rough as his roommate was very loud and difficult. Staff did the best they could to manage the difficult patient but it was not getting any better. My sister and I worked closely with the staff, management and admissions on getting him into a room that would help him recover. They assured me we would come to a resolution. Even giving me personal cell phone numbers if I needed anything. After a few days they were able to find an opening and he was placed in a different room with a compatible roommate. Since my dad has been placed at Vale this is has been the best I have seen him all year! He is thriving and improving daily. The entire staff here have been helpful, caring, pleasant and very attentive. The building could use some TLC and updating. But I could not ask for better people to be helping my dad regain strength and improve daily. I know the staff does the best they can do with what they have. I visit often and I handle my dads laundry. I also bring him lunch or dinner from time to time. The food here is not his favorite. I will say so far so good these past couple of months. All of my dads requests or questions have been handled or answered right away. No place is perfect but the staff here is pretty great! I appreciate all the help they have provided so far.

I have been here since Feb. 22 transferred from John Muir Concord by VA Martinez. VA should not use this facility due to many things need to be fixed. First got here the food was ok. It has gone downhill. They do not spend enough money on the food. It is a total joke.

Excellent! Specially the OT, PT, ST, and all the RN, LVN, and CNA who assisted me in room 8B and 16A! God bless. I'm walking!

The staff: nurses, dieticians, cna's, engineers and all I have come in contact with are responsible and respectful. The facility is well kept as are the patients.
