The lots of employees over the meat and seafood department are rude. Not welcoming at all. Same for the cashiers. I can get better seafood, meat quality and better service elsewhere. Bottom line is this location hired lots of disrespectful employees.

Always loved this place since a kid. This location is no exception. Whenever I need ingredients for an Asian meal I come here. A whole isle of noodles/ramen. Plenty of fresh produce. Good selection of Asian spices/ sauces. Also decent beer selection.

This store has a great selection of Japanese, Chinese and other Asian grocery staples, housewares and a limited section of Japanese beauty aids. There is a hot deli and there are hot and cold bento boxes to go. Great store!

Love my local Uwajimaya here in Renton with so much variety! The guys in the seafood department eagerly assisted me in my search for smoked haddock which is common of the East Coast and also provided knowledge of more local species for a close alternative. We find what we need at Uwajimaya or pick up some already prepared food in the take out department.

My place for poke, teas, green tea ice cream, produce and more. Service is always excellent. Been going to Uwajimaya since I was a little g. Try the cakes of paradise. You won't be disappointed.

I like to eat the same food I grew up with in Hawaii and it is always easy to find the ingredients I need to make those dishes with at this store. On this day, I was making bitter melon stew. The only place I could find the bitter melon was Uwajimaya. Staff here are also friendly and willing to help. Go visit!

I needed a fish, this place had some, and as a bonus, cool dudes employed in the fish section.

Thanks for a smooth visit where I got what I needed. Surprisingly, that is not easy in most places.

The fresh fish guys were so cool! But there were many things that I couldn't find - as a light traveler. But I like that you can purchase hot food and eat right inside a customer dining area.

Glad we went. Face masks might be required. We got chopsticks, chopstick rests, a wok, and were so tempted to buy much much more. They have the cutest stuff, sake sets, teapots, teacups, mini legos, beauty supplies, stuffies. Of course the grocery store food, snackies. We ate at the deli, picked out orange chicken & gemeral tsos with noodles. Pork shortribs with rice. Also grabbed a spicy tune roll from the cold case. The food was great, will definetely be coming back when we travel here. Smaller than the Seattle one, but I liked the displays here.

Best and only Japanese market in town. You can buy a variety of very fresh fish, clams, oysters, crayfish, shrimp, muscles, sea urchin, crab, poke, sashimi, and sushi. It is always my go to place for seafood. 99 Ranch Market and Fred Meyer is stinky and frozen at best. You find most of your Japanese ingredients to stationary here too. Have a craving for Natto?, you can find it here! Staff is always helpful. Store is very clean and organized. Hot prepared food is okay. Veggie selection is often good and fresh. They have a decent amount of local produced items and even gluten free products. With quality, you will also pay a little bit more to. They do offer senior and student discounts on certain days and times. Every so often, they do host events in their parking lot.

While this one is fun to go to it is far less impressive then the one in Seattle. It's hard to beat the live catches and tanks. There is good quality Asian food I would shop here daily if I lived close. I really did love roaming the isles. Everything is also really fresh unlike other markets.

This is my favorite Asian grocery store in the Renton and Seattle area. Thanks, Chelsea & Nathan, for your wonderful customer service today. My boyfriend loves this place, too. God bless and peace to Uwajimaya and all of it's employees.

If you want fish, this is the place to go. Very knowledgeable guys in the seafood dept, even gave me cooking tips! Great customer service. I only gave 4 stars because I didn't go through any other sections of the store. So I will update when I do that.

They now carry Tres Japanese style sandwiches: egg sandwiches, veggie croquettes, cream and strawberry. What a delight it was to see them there. No need to make the trip to Bellevue. Plus, can now have those sandwiches after 2pm when Tres (the original shop) closes

The employees could be more welcoming. But the store itself has a great selection. It's just about the same price for some produce here as other stores. But this IS the place to go for asian goods.

This is my go to for Japanese ingredients. I have never had an issue looking for a specific ingredient for my Japanese recipes here. The seafood counter is really good too. The staff are all so helpful.

Fresh Seafood Counter which includes daily cut sashimi, salt water tanks of crab, mussels, oysters, & fish; Meat Department includes beef & pork sliced for hot pot & sukiyaki, sweet & sour spare ribs; Food Service includes BBQ pork & duck & freshly made sushi & musubi. They carry a treasure trove of delightful baked goods which includes mochi, flan, cheesecake, cookies of all sorts, mini pies, & carrot cake, & baklava; Asian produce & wine & reasonable prices for eggs...a wonderful Asian grocery store which highlights Japanese items. They have a gift section & a housewares section & have even added a bulk section if you would like to buy cases of instant noodle bowls.
