I like Uwajimaya, but the prices are higher then the other asian markets. It is clean and well laid out, but also empty as everyone goes to Seafood City or 99 Ranch for the lower prices.

My son brought me some home one day, we always eat another kind of seaweed, when i ate some of the Big Roll Grilled seaweed i fell in love with it, can't wait to let my daughter taste some.. I know she'll love it. Thank you Uwajimaya..

Probably the finest Asian market chain in King County. Large selection of quality market goods. Many prepared Asian packaged foods & cafeteria style foods. Very clean well packaged meats. Live seafood in Clearwater aquariums. Lots of Asian pottery and gifts. We highly recommend this place.

Easy parking in the lot, clean and organized store. Found my fave buckwheat noodles and other random stuff, which is great. Focus is of course Asian but mainly Japanese so if you are looking for less mainstream items like kansui (lye water) or custard powder you'll need to look elsewhere. Good spot, though. Recommended at least to look!

Lots of interesting fresh fish. They have a verity of different kinds of oysters at about $1 each.
We bought a dozen and got 14.
The food at the deli area was very disappointing. You can get better sushi at Safeway.
Some of the employees we talked to seemed unhappy and not very helpful

I love Uwajimaya! It's the best place to go to find unique foods and drinks. I love to try something new each time I visit. Prices can be high on everyday items so I wouldn't recommend doing your regular shopping here but if you're looking for novelty snacks and great produce, this is the place for you.

Great store! It has a large variety of Asian foods but specialises it Japanese foods.

If you are looking to make sushi they have a great selection of different fish, toppings, ride, and nori. Generally speaking their fish is high quality.

They also have a bakery and large produce selection.

It's so clean and the produce always looks super fresh! Sometimes I resort to other grocery stores like fred meyers and Safeway simply because they're closer and open longer. But when I can I go to Uwajimaya for my shopping needs, especially when I want to cook Asian foods like teriyaki, stir fry, ramen, etc. They've got almost everything you'd need. Though since it is a Japanese store, Chinese and Korean ingredients are a smidge harder to find. They have some but not a large variety. If I need more Korean ingredients, I'd likely have to go to H mart or some other Asian market, etc.

Love this store! It satisfies all my needs for a quick one stop shop. I buy all my fish here, absolutely refuse to get it any place else. The best part is the mini cafe inside so you can grab a drink while you shop

Great place to buy meat and veggies, along with Japanese items that are hard to find out really expensive at other stores, such as mirin and soy sauce. They also focus on local items, which is nice.

They also have a great deli, but it closes WAY too early, 2 hours before close! (Reason for a 4 star review instead of 5.)

Their gift section is nice with a good selection as well, if you have someone in your life that loves Sanrio or general cute things.

It's not as big as the Seattle or Bellevue store, but the employees are courteous and the deals on specialty items can't be beat.

We bought 4 different kinds of mochi from this Uwajimaya, Renton store. The Red Bean flavor was bad - the flour is hardened and broken apart, which is supposed to be soft. After confirming that the other 3 boxes are normal by tasting all of them. We decided to return this red bean box, but the manager would not returned it due to 3 pieces were missing. My kids threw away after their first bite.
The customer service is very poor because definitely the red bean mochi was bad, and Uwajimaya store should stand behind it. It s only $4.99 for a mochi box, and this store will lose my whole family and friends business. We were their customers for years since 1975. Too bad, the store manager didn t know how to handle it!
By the way you can buy the same mochi at Costco for much less .

I am Thai and always looking for certain ingredients. There has been a lot of success finding the produce I need, but missing some of the spices. It is a bit expensive, but very convenient.

Great Japanese grocery store selling variety items from Vegetables to meat and seafood. It also has prepared food you can pickup or order to make. Smaller than the store in Seattle and less variety of items and prepared food options.

This is a smaller store compared to the one in Chinatown/international district but still a great store. Not as much selection but there s also some things in this store that aren t available in others, for example the poke bar at the seafood section. The guy working there was generous with the portion and he was very friendly. The poke was also scrumdiddlyumptious.

Had a great time perusing everything. A solid variety of groceries and deli items. We were staying nearby and ate like kings in our room. Found a sesame sake that we loved and a little something for everyone to take home with us.

This store isn t as well stocked as the downtown Seattle location but it s not busy and has fresh fish so it s my go to location. It s less of a show and more of just a grocery store which is nice. Highly recommend if you live nearby or want to avoid crowds

Never had an issue before, only complaint is the customer service. I wanted a Thai Ice Tea, the girl said they don't have it and said they have Milk Tea. She could have left it at that, but she insisted that its the same thing.... No it's not, and no thanks. Simply state "we are out" don't try to convince me in a condescending tone that two different items are the same.

Our order from the take out counter was delicious, my son loves their general tso's chicken, and potstickers. They have a wide selection of choices, and all we've tried have been delicious. Their selection of groceries is diverse and fun to explore.

The only place I know that has beef bacon besides Fred Meyer. And they have a lot of foreign Asian food there as well pretty reasonable prices. Very unique Asian specialty store. But you got to try the beef bacon. Once you do you'll be hooked.

This location has fresh fish but could use a better selection. The produce is okay but they need to stock the vegetables you can't get in a regular store. It's a small store but they have a decent variety of Japanese foods and green tea!
