The staff wad helpful. I got the Dick block markers that are colic replicas and like them. The price is good also.

The store is nice and clean, the customer isn't bad it's just that the salespeople don't seem to know what's available in the store!

This store was alright overall. Pretty big once you step downstairs. The only thing I DID NOT like was that the employee was really rude and ticked off when I asked if she can cut a board I needed for class for me since they do cutting service here for boards. She seemed so pissed and rude. I didn t like it. It was super unprofessional and not right to do. I didn t like that she did that. I wish I asked her name to put her in the spot on here but I hope no one runs into her there.

Pretty big Blick s downtown. Was recommended to visit here after the 125th st location did not have right size stretchers that I was looking for. Call and ask if they have certain products before visiting, and they will hold them for you. Great service

Love this place. The variety of products was amazing. The staff was courteous and helpful. Plus it's close in the neighborhood .

Excellent selection. I have gotten everything I need for casting, screen printing, painting, block printing/litho carving and many other art projects here. They also have an extensive collection of pre-stretched canvas, mounting boards, paper and bags/carrying supplies.

They didn't have the art wax that I needed, but they were friendly and helpful to direct me where to find it. When I return recently for sketching pens, it was very pleasant to experience the same friendly service. Like the relaxed shop feel here, not like a big box place.

I just happened upon this wonderful store. I forgot that it was here. So instead of ordering online I can enjoy wandering the store. Just wonderful.

This Blick is near where I work on Mondays. They don't have as many Daniel Smith watercolor paint colors as the 6th Avenue store, but everything else I need, they have! And the staff is always friendly and willing to help. Great people are hired here!

The staff is very friendly and they helped me since its my first time at the store and everyone was very kind and helpful.The store is literally heaven there since there is so much stuff there that I could get lost to.They have amazing deals and good prices.I highly recommend going there!They have everything there.Amazing!!!

Extensive selection of art supplies that I ve never seen before! I get new ideas just going to browse.

I like the new store arrangement; however the aisles are a bit tight. I think their choice of music that usually is playing when I shop there is unpleasant (for my taste). I think a more mellow music choice would be make a pleasant shopping experience.

Great store that is more intimate for art supplies with staff that is knowledgeable and can help you with your art needs.

Even though the store is small, the product variety and friendly people that work there make up for it! I highly reccomend this location if you want to grab something quickly. I wouldn't reccommend browsing since the place is tiny

A very wide range of art supplies and materials but the thing that stands out the most is the excellent customer service that I received in both locations in Manhattan. I was helped by Ciara or Chiara at the 23rd st. location.

Very small but it has a lot of art supplies. The workers there are very helpful too

This store is a little small when it comes to inventory, BUT the attentive, kind and helpful staff makes up for it because they will steer you away from what you don't need and give you solutions and point you in the right direction to what you do want. Both times I went there I had a great experience working with several different staff members, and other customers who shared their wisdom too!, and I highly recommend this place :)

Stopped in before a show at the Model Center to get some Tombow Markers. I live in Cleveland, but I refuse to shop in that store, because the staff is horrible (rude, childish, not knowledgeable). I went in, and I felt accosted by a staff member that literally ran over and got in my face to greet me and my sister. I felt as though they were acting that way in anticipation for a possible mystery shopper. We'd barely cleared the threshold of the store. I refused help, because it was so off-putting. I ended up wandering around on my own to find the Tombows. When I found them, I was shocked at the price. It was over twice what Joann Fabrics online sells singles for. I don't know how they can charge that much. I would expect Dick Blick to have better prices for an art supply than a sewing company. I left without buying anything, and when I'm in town, I cannot possibly imagine going in again.

Pretty good location and selection for being only a few blocks away from the Fashion Institute of Technology. However, I find myself heading to the location at 20th and 6th because I have had too many times where I'd go in to purchase an art supply and they were out or didn't have it at their location.

My personal go-to place for art supply. First, because it's the most accessible place for me.
Second, because they have a huge variety. You will probably find whatever you are looking for.
Third, the staff is helpful and nice.
The prices are reasonable. Not as cheap as I would want it to be, but fair.

Great store for professional arts supplies with all the staples you could need. Prices aren t always as low as other places, but they frequently have discounts, so plan ahead. What they lack in low prices they make up for with their incredible selection.

I did not like this store. It is too small. Almost like a walk in kitchen okay. They had limited amount of supplies and the prices of the merchandise was very high. I can get better deals on line. This store has nothing for me.

Very limited inventory, sent me twice to other stores because they did not have it in stock. At least the staff was friendly.

OMG! I just had one of the best shopping experiences I ve ever had at a blick store. I was lucky enough to have Pedro assisting me and helping me figure out what my best options were. I m so sorry I missed the cashier s name but she also was very very collaborative although she was doing several tasks at the same time. I found what I was looking for and even got a discount for being a loyal customer. Thank you Blick 23rd st, VERY good job

It looks like a great store for painters, drawers, and sculptors. I'm not one of those so I can't say for sure, but I found what I needed and I see everything that Bob Ross uses, too. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I got curt and snarky responses when I asked the sales people simple questions about Products I was seeking. I ended up buying a few things too, & still this cold attitude. I've had better service in other Blick stores though.

If you like to feel like your shopping here because there's no where else left to buy art supplies in New York your right. That's why your here. Don't get me wrong, everyone here is super nice and they have pretty much everything you need. It just feels like your shopping here because all the gritty old guard art stores you knew and loved like Pearl and NY Central have passed into legend and you have nowhere else to go now.
